At least, it's #3 in today's update and it will be there until "Blank Space" passes it.

I've generally liked Calvin's singles but this is so grating. It just sounds like John Newman yelping a bunch of trite nonsense lyrics alongside a tired beat. No idea why it's Top 3.

Probably in the minority, but I love this song. The Ellie collar is dull, which breaks my heart because I love her, but this song is stellar.

Hardly in the minority, this is one of his best songs. But this is "Blame" not "Outside".

"Blame" is excellent, glad it's a smash. I definitely relate to it on a personal level.

SUNDAY PUBLISHED 12/7 UPDATE:
CHR/Pop: 4 4 CALVIN HARRIS Blame f/John Newman 13762 13507 255 84.314
Hot AC: 30 30 CALVIN HARRIS Blame f/John Newman 941 785 156 6.395
Well, I stop doing the daily updates because it was already having negative updates, but...
MONDAY 12/8 UPDATE:
CHR/Pop: 3 4 CALVIN HARRIS Blame f/John Newman 13873 13542 331 84.92
+ 173 Spins + 138 Bullet + 0.859 Audience
Hot AC: 30 30 CALVIN HARRIS Blame f/John Newman 974 791 183 6.522
+ 34 Spins + 28 Bullet + 0.129 Audience
I wasn't expecting that on CHR/Pop. I think it's mainly because of last Monday's update, but let's see what happens in the next days.

I kind of surprised that underperformed on the billboard hot 100. I think it's one of his best songs and it's one of his biggest hits on pop

FRIDAY 12/12 UPDATE:
CHR/Pop: 4 4 CALVIN HARRIS Blame f/John Newman 13993 13704 289 85.924
+ 117 Spins + 177 Bullet + 0.889 Audience
Hot AC: 30 29 CALVIN HARRIS Blame f/John Newman 1028 896 132 6.692
+ 11 Spins - 17 Bullet + 0.047 Audience
Apparently, it's not dead on CHR/Pop after Wednesday's negative update and a not-so-good one yesterday. Anyway, it's 358 spins behind "Don't", so it could go either way if tomorrow's update isn't as great as this one.

I'm ready for the next single. I've really loved all of Calvin's singles, but I'm just not getting into any of them this era. I liked Blame at first, but it had a quick burn rate for me and I just find John's shouting very grating as others mentioned before. (He's really talented, just not my cuppa). The album didn't excite me like 18 Months and Ready For The Weekend did, although I would really like the HAIM track to be the next single.

Ugh this needs to die already. The sales are abysmal and "Outside" is begging for a release. It's already his second biggest hit on pop so they might as well give up already.
Plus I'm just really tired of it.

I'd just love to see it match that #3 peak that "Summer" got. I hope it can hang on through Sunday and then I'm ok if it really starts to drop. Then bring on "Outside" or " Pray To God".

"Blame" is still okay for me, but I'm seriously ready for "Outside" already! It's like the only song I really loved off of his new release.

I still love this and it's still my favorite single from him. Outside can wait a bit.
The later Outside happens stateside the better because assuming it becomes a hit as well, it'll give Ellie more momentum as well, but I'm not expecting any new material from her until fall at least. The more recent her feature then the better.

SATURDAY 12/13 UPDATE:CHR/Pop:4 4 CALVIN HARRIS Blame f/John Newman 13940 13698 242 86.370 - 53 Spins - 49 Bullet + 0.466 Audience Hot AC:30 29 CALVIN HARRIS Blame f/John Newman 1050 917 133 6.733 + 22 Spins + 1 Bullet + 0.041 Audience Despite today's negative update, it's 37 spins behind "Don't", so it should climb tomorrow, unless "Blame" begins to free falling too.
Anyway, I agree with albie here. I only want "Blame" to match "Summer" peak on CHR/Pop, since it's out of any possibilities that this is going to go further at this point. I'm ready for the next single. I've really loved all of Calvin's singles, but I'm just not getting into any of them this era. I don't know if you have heard "Outside", his second collaboration with Ellie Goulding, but this one is going to be the next single from Motion. Also, it's set to impact US radios on January 13. Regarding the HAIM track, this one, along "Outside" and "Open Wide", have been receiving some spins on the US radios too. Also, "Pray to God" is the only album track which is inside the Top 100 on the Australian iTunes, so it could be released after that if it's considered that Australia is ahead of the singles releases. Of course, time will tell if this happens.

But the truth is overall Summer was a way bigger hit than Blame (to be honest i expected this to become one of his biggest hits and it didn't even come close)

Well I like this much more than Summer. There's a dark, aggressive vibe of the production that matches perfectly with John's voice, including his angry tone in the chorus (I don't hear him shouting though). Great song!

This song has had a great performance on radio. Too bad its Billboard chart position couldn't be higher.

Wait a second...Outside hasn't been released?? That explains why it got only to 69 on Hot 100. That song is A-Freaking-mazing. I play it in a loop all the time. I like dangerous as well.

Yeah this is definitely Calvin's best single since "Sweet Nothing." Seems it's always on the radio and always playing in the dudebro bars. Surprised it didn't crack the Hot 100 top 10 (or at least 15!). Seems just as big, maybe bigger, than many of his recent hits.
