This sounds like an interlude on The Velvet Rope (and that's not a good thing)

That's actually one of my favorite songs on the album. The instrumental is SO HOT to me. The synth horns are such a twisted, baroque touch. It's like a sex jam from a horror movie, it just works.

"Unison" is the only song I liked, besides "Run"

God of War was the only track I liked. It's right in her sweet spot of edgy-catchy dance-pop. Basically what Killer Love is, but more current.

I love Nicole so I wanna order this album and I found it on Amazon for reasonable prices shipped from the UK, but it was just the standard. Is there anywhere to get the deluxe edition? ETA: I wish that her team would just release this in the US. They could just drop it digitally or something at least.

She's no longer on Epic Records' artist roster.

She needs to give up. She'll never go hungry but she's not going to be a Popstar. Which is a shame because she's had some great material in her career

Get her ass to Broadway! She can actually sing AND dance, but no one has cared for her since she stopped putting her legs behind her ears as a Pussycat Thot.

"Unison" is her best song in a while. "Run" has such power, but there was ZERO push here in the states for it. It's a shame she just can't get off the ground. She was massive with PCD, and everyone knew she could sing.

I can see her going indie. She won't be successful on that route either. She just needs to use her skills in another format that doesn't deal with radio or as an album artist. Musicals, possible movie musicals, but no solo albums. The people have spoke too many times to count now. She's better off in a group setting. You put another random 3-5 girls behind her and watch the success.

She's basically Anastacia 2.0 She has decent success in Europe but the US couldn't pay her more dust so it's not like she's a total failure. She just has to accept that she'll never make it in the US as a solo act and just focus on building a strong fan base elsewhere. That should hopefully be enough to fulfill her hunger.

The problem isn't her being a solo artist. She practically was one with PCD. Her solo material was just never as good as the songs with PCD.

You can't say that either considering that the first PCD album was all Nicole except Carmin and Melody at the end of the process for B/G vocals, and the 2nd album was comprised of about 70% Nicole solo material from her debut album that didn't come to be. She's just not a solo artist. I can see your view on her going indie just to satisfy herself, but no success in North America will come from that.

I don't even think it's "she's good in groups" I just think for a brief moment the idea of 6 strippers-turned-pop stars translated into success and it was never about Nicole personally beyond her being able to pull off those songs vocally. It's not like I could see her having ANY success as a lead singer of another girl group in the current market, even if she wasn't 37. Someone else said this here a long time ago but the only sound she's ever seen success with was this kind of overtly sexual rhythmic music that toed the line of R&B that was popular in 2006. Other than that...it's a giant no for her as a star.

I think Killer Love was a missed opportunity for her here. Right Now was the wrong lead single, and DHYB Ahouldnt have followed it. That record is as strong as, if not stronger than, her PCD material. It was mishandled and given a half assed release (at least the two singles) and that's why it didn't take off.

She should have waited until after a 3rd PCD album to go solo. Their first album era was huge for them/her, but she was still unknown and hadn't built up a solid fan base. She should have continued to do features until after the second album. I understand that SHE was PCD, but people were sold on PCD and not Nicole. Then on top of that she had awful solo material. And I just don't understand that. if she was PCD and they had good material then how could she get such shitty solo material. Isn't it the same thing?

What's wrong with a girl trying? Did her last cd end up coming out? The one that "Run" was on.

Pretty sure Epic put her in the studio to add some new records and it won't cost them too much because essentially she had a whole album completed before signing to them.

She was announced as the winner of NBC's "I Can Do That" this week. She's actually had a pretty decent career over the past 14 or 15 years, if you think about it. She was a judge on X Factor UK, X Factor US, and NBC's "The Sing-Off." She has also won Dancing with the Stars and fronted two girl groups. She's done broadway and has had endorsements with big companies. Ironically, she's never really succeeded at the one thing that she's always wanted - solo stardom as a musical artist.

And Wendy's so annoying on her own show.

I can't emotionally handle being let down by this bitch anymore. I'm just gonna go listen to Killer Love and accept that as the flawless pop perfection that it is.
