What? I actually like "1000hp". I'd much rather get energized to that than just sit around listening to "Stolen Dance". Or "Riptide". :) Liking it is one thing, but grading it to be better than every alt #1 of the year, that's a misdemeanor in some states...and a felony in Texas. In El Salvador, it's death by firing squad. In Canada, it's deportation to Sunrise, FLorida, where you'll be sentenced to attending every Florida Panthers game (Sorry, American Idiot) for the rest of your life. That's worse than all of the above. Whew, good thing I live in New York (But not Brooklyn, because all the hipsters would try to convince me to stop being so mainstream).

The lyrics are SOOOO bad. "TURN. THAT. SHIT. UP. LOUDAHHHHHH" Not energetic, not catchy. Just go away.

I was born in Detroit, so I'm a huge Red Wings fan, and I love being by the Panthers because I can get tickets everytime the Wings come to town for $10. It's funny because the stadium is awesome, but it has a lot of palm trees right out side of an ice rink. Seriously though, could be worse. Could be Blue Jackets games.

I too am a lifelong Red Wings fan lol. When I was 3 years old and just starting kindergarten (September 1995), I went to school with a Red Wings lunch pail. That's my proof that I was a fan since the beginning, and has nothing to do with their cup success haha.

You darn Canadians, first you make a Nickelback thread then you turn it into a discussion about Alt songs even though its an Active song and now you've gone and turned it to hockey.

The songs that have hit number one on Alt are not my prefered ones at all, except Fitz and Tantrums and Arctic Monkeys. The year started strong and slowly went down the crapper .Overall, I prefer the songs charting in the bottom half of the list. here goes.
Do I Wanna Know: A Come With Me Now: B+ The Walker: A++- Fever: B I Wanna Get Better: D Dangerous: C Riptide: D Stolen Chance: F
Hopefully Lorde's new single changes all that again?

Man, you're probably the only guy on all of Pulse who thinks 1000HP is better than Do I Wanna Know AND Dangerous. And better than all the alt #1s of the year...that is just so...unfortunate I think I need to revoke my Alt-bashing card now and hand it to him. I'm in agreement with that. I rated "1000HP" a B+, "Do I Wanna Know" a C-, and "Dangerous" a C.

Also, just to let you know, you won't be able to get cheap seats like that anymore. That's why there were not even 8,000 at the game vs. Ottawa on Monday. The new Panthers ownership is no longer giving out free or discounted tickets to any sponsors or forming gimmicks like the previous ownership did in the past. They lost a ton of season seat owners because say you got seats in the lower bowl for $120 and the guy next to you bought a ticket for $20 on Stubhub. The only people that are going to show up to games are diehard fans like myself and fans of the other teams. It's part of the reason why I became a Season Seat Owner in the first place. I pay $12 a game for my seat, but they're $40 normally if you buy from the box office as a single game ticket. If I can't go to a game, I can sell that ticket for way more than I paid. The crowd looks awful, but this is a good thing to salute the fans that support the team and get a more hockey-related atmosphere than half the crowd spending the game taking selfies. The bottom line is, until the team shows that they're a winner consistently, the casual South Florida "I'll watch them whenever they make the playoffs" fans are not going to go to games and it's going to be empty on most nights.

You guys lucked out big time with the new divisions though. 6-8 home games a year vs Toronto, Montreal, and Boston, which are all essentially sellout draws.

That is true... although I personally hate it since I feel like the Panthers are the road team during those games and all of those teams you mention have tons of asshole fans (no offense to any of them on here!). Red Wings fans are actually pretty damn respectful in comparison even though they come in droves as well. Although, if they were put in the Metro Division, facing the Pens, Rangers, and Flyers often would get big crowds as well. Not as much as those other teams though. It's funny. 5-10 years ago, I could count the number of Bruins fans at our games against them one two hands. Now, they're half of the crowd.

Guess you guys who don't like Godsmack "1000hp" ,were not big fans of Motley Crue's "Kickstart My Heart" ? Either that or you weren't born yet? Anyway, Both are very similiar sounding. From the reved up intro to the guitar hooks.

I hope this holds up for the rest of the week before the Foo Fighters swoop in. I want it to get a third week, then Foo can get it for however long they want.

I feel the same way. Nickelback deserves a few weeks at the top more. Plus, I don't see any other potentially impacting Rock songs ahead of Foo Fighters.

Seether has served as the nemesis of the Foo Fighters on Active for years..."Same Damn Life" could charge up there and take over in a heartbeat and I wouldn't at all be surprised.
