People like me aren't going to remember this album sold 2 million rather the lack of hits that followed it. Corrected. lol.

She sold 2 million. I would rather sell 2 million than have an album full of hits and do 500K. People aren't going to remember this album sold 2 million rather the lack of hits that followed it. People are going to remember that Beyonce dropped an album in the middle of the night on a random ass Thursday that included a video for every song and it SLAYED all media in existence including the Sunday circulars at church.

I thought the opening act was very entertaining and easily the best of the night, especially Bang Bang. All 3 ladies killed it! I do wish Nicki would've toned it down a bit. It was a bit jarring to see the transition from sweet and innocent Ariana to Nicki and her ass shaking lol. The show was completely mediocre and forgettable after that until the end with Queen B's FLAWLESS performance! Everyone else sucked.

People really, really focus on pop hits around here and I guess that makes sense, but most of the world is not going to remember an artist or cd by airplay numbers. Like, when I hear people talk about Madonna it isn't how many top 40 hits she has had. At some point, you kind of transcend needing airplay hits to back up your status. Beyonce isn't even my favorite pop chick (new or old) but I have to admit she sort of transcended this era and set herself apart from most others.

If you really tryna downplay the success and impact of Beyonce's Self-Titled Visual Experience then you are childish and need to get right with the Lord. That's all I can say.

Beyonce is a great act, we cant compare these two. The Teenagers Dream creator should be gracious to even have a album out, much less complain about under performing. God is good.

I'm not taking anything away from her success as she's likely the best entertainer out at the moment. But her insane amount of hype doesn't transcend hits outside of Urban.

I agree lets not downplay Beyonce, if we're gonna speak on her keep it to the truths. Her album was good and her rollout was epic, historic. Much like her solo career it once again had very little HITS, but Beyonce has shown she doesnt need hits or isnt capable of producing hits on a regular basis. She is beautiful, media trained and her buzz alone is enough.
Respect.

Well let's just call her the Urban Messiah that has white people saying, "I Woke Up Like This!" on their Instagram and Twitter. #ALLDAYEVERYDAY.

I could have literally watched the show with my eyes closed and not missed anything. So damn boring. And I feel the same way about Bey's 20 minute concert as I did about JT's last year:

When does this award show end anyway? It's like they show all of the performances, get an award or 2 in there so you don't leave, then have all of the awards in the last 20 minutes, and after the show's runtime slot is over.
