I'm loving everything I've heard so far. I'm just sad that "SuperLove" isn't making the album. Boo!

I'm really, really loving London Queen. It took a couple listens, but I'm completely hooked. The lyric video is... eh. This song has me super pumped for the album even more than before!

She'll be performing at the Y100 Jingle Ball on December 20! I missed her show in my city, but I plan on getting my tickets in a few weeks. :)

I'm still shocked they're going with a 4th quarter release for this.

Her first album had delays for over a year and a half, so this doesn't surprise me at all.

Absolutely the right choice. She was going to get crushed in the Q4 rush. The UK release date was in January already, so it's not that big of a strategy chance timewise.

January is the perfect release month for new(er) artists; way less pressure for sales expectations.

Where's the source of the January delay? I'm pretty sure it's still a December US release + January for the rest of the world.

Bit annoyed we have had to wait so long for the album - really don't understand why this wasn't released in October (at least in the UK) - Sadly 'Break The Rules' seems to have made zero to little impact over in the UK, in my opinion it deserved to have got top 10 easy - not great if the album now arrives next year when everyones forgotten about 'Boom Clap'. :((((

"Charli XCX delay" or "delayed" brings nothing up on Twitter. Atlantic hasn't issued a press release about a delay (the way it did the first time). She hasn't Tweeted about a delay (the way she did the first time). And the US iTunes store still says 12/16.

Well, BC surely isn't going to drive sales for the album.

I saw this commercial on TV for the first time today with "Superlove" in it, but it's apparently been out for over a year. I really think the song should make the album, I forgot how good it sounds!

This album is going to flop so hard in AmericaThey've done a terrible job with this campaign. Pretty much everyone on her team should be fired.

I think her team thought she would hit hard with "Break The Rules", so that Sucker could be released in DEC. That's great though she's getting a SNL slot.

I don't think her AMA performance was terribly charismatic or memorable until the end and I also think that one of the problems with BTR is the underlying juvenile mentality in the lyrics. She's a 22 year old woman, not a teenager, and she needs a more age appropriate song, lyrically speaking, that blends her punk rock attitude with dance beats.

The lyrics have always bothered me a bit. It sounds like those people who refuse to acknowledge they've grown old and are not teenagers anymore. It's like something a 14 year-old-i'm-such-a-rebel would sing.

The lyrics have always bothered me a bit. It sounds like those people who refuse to acknowledge they've grown old and are not teenagers anymore. It's like something a 14 year-old-i'm-such-a-rebel would sing. There's a recent interview where she says that she's made the type of record she thought would be cool when she was 14, so that's likely on purpose. There's a real disconnect imo between the way they've been pushing her status and the actual music being presented. A lot of her press, and especially that long interview in Complex, tries to paint her as this giant songwriter whose going to be the next huge pop superstar and is just going to go on a tear with a lot of big pop hits, meanwhile in reality all 3 of her hits were pretty much unplanned (and virtually no one outside the industry even connects her to I Love It) and everything that's been showcased from Sucker (more songs have been played at her concerts than what has been released from the studio versions) sounds like an early 80s Go-Gos influenced record. I personally really like everything I've heard, but they've done a terrible job at pushing this, aside from getting her the AMA & SNL spots. The way they just dumped BTR on soundcloud without much fanfare and then when it went nowhere with all her momentum, they still had so much time to change plans and push another song and didn't do shit, neither in terms of pushing a new song nor helping out the floundering single. It is interesting how just as she found a hit with a streamlined version of her first album's sound, she just shifted gears. She's also been blatant as to how this album is largely a reaction to how her life shifted after I Love It blew up.

I, too, found it a bit odd how the sound of her first album was pretty much abandoned; it almost feels as if the ploy is to pretend it never happened. Personally, I think a deeper exploration of that sound would give her more mainstream success than what she's attempting now.

Judging from her interviews she seemed really bummed that True Romance never took off + not getting her due respect for I Love It. But its sad that she keeps writing the album off cause its such a MASTERPIECE. :( Even more ironic is that Boom Clap was supposed to appear on it lol
Im not really digging the new songs but I understand what she's trying to do and the reinvention shes going for, im just gonna miss witch-pop Charli cause she was perfection
