This would be back-to-back bullet-less weeks for TBP on Billboard, so this week's chart (probably will come out tomorrow night) will likely be the last appearance for "Gentle On My Mind". It got as high as #29 a few weeks back. Given that it's a non-album 'filler' single that was also a cover of an iconic older song, this is a pretty decent result, though I would have loved for it to have been an even bigger hit with radio.

I agree. Realistically, this was about the best case scenario for this song.

GOMM did its job, it kept TBP around between albums and got them a Grammy nod as some icing on the cake.
