Taylor is sort of everywhere now but somehow she doesn't overdo it by causing too much controversy. I love her music and am glad she does not do things to get into the press in a negative way. I think she is a great role model. I would say this described Taylor up until the 1984 era. Now, I realize that the media representation of a person and how that person actually is are two completely different things. But I do think Taylor has had her hand in too many cookie jars lately, and the public is starting to get a bit sick of it. I think it would be best for her to stay low in between album cycles. I also think that she has stepped up to the controversy plate a little more lately. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but there is sometimes a price to be paid for having strong opinions.

I think it would be best for her to stay low in between album cycles. Which she has always done since Fearless. She always manages to almost disappear until the time is right to strike. Mark my words, we'll get one final single and a Grammy performance. After that, we won't hear from her until July when a new album era is announced. The lead single will drop in August, album in October 2016.

I find she's the only star this year to be actually getting coverage. Again, it and into 2015 having been a slow year musically but Billboard and HP music section are overrun with Taylor articles. I don't know if it's overkill because other than on billboard's Facebook comments, I don't hear much complaint about it. Maybe people are tuning all music news out? Or maybe I am?

I just listened to this for the first time, and I really like this, which is surprising because I wasn't that into Bad Blood or Shake It Off (but the other two singles were great).

The lead single will drop in August, album in October 2016. You know, a year ago, I would have agreed with you. But right before 1989 came out she gave an interview where she said she wasn't sure she'd continue her 2 year cycle, and judging by the fact that this era is bigger than any other era she's ever had and 1989 is still top 10 on Billboard, it's kind of hard for me to believe she's kicking off an entirely new era in 11 months, especially when she's touring all the way throughout Summer 2016. I think she might take next year off, but who knows. She technically didn't start working on 1989 until after last year's Grammy's so stuff can change.

At this point, it's hard to see there being a new single next fall.

I feel exactly the same (about the singles), and I'm still a bit sad Style didn't do better. I hope they promo this properly. :)

I would love for Taylor to have a new album next fall as I'm always eager for new music from her, but in terms of commercial success, she would be totally safe whether she decides to release next fall or the year after. If she decides to keep the 2-year cycle, I do think she should stop after 6 singles, but if she decides to break the cycle and wait another year, I say go 7 or 8 deep.

Yeah, there's about 10% chance we're getting a new album in 2016. Hell, I wouldn't even be shocked if she waits until the first half of 2018 for the next album and continues to ride 1989 through all of 2016 with a few more singles.

Man this is going to be some race to the top between 4 songs. Now it looks like The Hills might block Bieber and Taylor!

She can take a bit of a break. They should really milk this era. We should be able to get 8 singles

I'm thinking there's gonna be one more single after this. I would say no if this sounded like "The One That Got Away"....meaning, what's left of the rest. But this sounds every bit as good as the other ones, and better than a couple, so I don't think the 1989 sound is too tired yet. But I do think she should stop after 6, cuz burnout will occur, and I'm sure her label doesn't want diminishing returns to end the era, which is almost upon us. I'm surprised sales have stayed so steady. But you can't expect the next single, or even the one after that, to retain even this amount of momentum. But koodos to her. This era made me a fan.

With the release of iOS9 Apple has fixed a bug that was not allowing you to add music videos to playlists. This morning I successfully added the Wildest Dreams video to my new music playlist and saved it to my phone. This means I finally have the radio edit in my playlist, which may be minor for most, but is exciting for me!

This will probably peak in what, late November? She'll need another single to carry the album through the Holiday season and into Grammy season, so I expect one more single.
