Maybe this could reach Top 5 on the Hot 100 afterall, tho I don't know what her streaming rank is. I'm sure it's low cuz of Spotify. That's been a blessing and a curse for her hasn't it? I think she should stream her singles and leave the album tracks for purchase only. Streaming is where music is now, and while it's cute that she's against it now, it's only going to impact her greater as eras continue. Well, it is inexplicably streaming on Apple Music (I'm still waiting for the explanation for why she objected to premium-only services like Google, Rhapsody, etc but not Apple), so that's helping her Hot 100 score. Plus, the idea that it "hurts" her assumes that she cares more about Hot 100 position than the sales/value boost she feels she gets by not streaming. Considering she knew about this dynamic when she made the decision (and certainly knows about it now), I think we have to assume she still sees non-streaming as a net positive (though the Apple Music thing suggests the tide is slowly turning). You can really make the same case in terms of promo. Taylor could perform on virtually any talk/variety/news/awards show she wants whenever she wants and get promo + sales boost. She opts not to do so to, almost certainly as a way to protect her brand prestige and make her tour seem special. Hurts Hot 100 ranking, helps her in other ways.

I know people hate Bad Blood, but man, hearing it at a club was crazy. People went INSANE when it came on and everyone was singing. Wildest Dreams seems like it works less in that context, lol. Looks like this is smashing effortlessly. Hope we see it at #1 on at least pop soon. Bad Blood is so underrated around here. It truly is a huge jam. I agree that hearing it at the club was amazing.

If you don't like Bad Blood I don't see how you can like Shake It Off either. Both are the same type of made in a hit factory pop song with a big, repetitive hook. Yet for some strange reason SIO is often praised and BB trashed. Makes no sense.

I loved Bad Blood remix. It's awesome.
Meanwhile this is #3 on iTunes, above Justin's lead single. Amazing

This is ridiculously close to #1 on iTunes as a fifth single off a 5 million selling album with no new versions helping it. Just amazing. In a few more weeks when its getting closer to its radio peak they need some kind of high profile promotion planned for it. That could get it #1 on the Hot 100.

I don't think just promotion is enough, there must be a whole new version to reach #1 on Hot 100, even BB needed that (I guess, no proof though as the video was huge)

THIS @ the bold part. It's actually quite relatable to me! I had a experience like that in 6th/7th grade! It was so bad that I ended up being a bitch to the people in my classes 7th grade I HATED myself back then and hated my life due to me being bullied/teased quite a bit! I always thought to fight back and bully back to the people who bullied me/make rumors about me but that wasn't the TRUE answer! Ignoring the bullies was the definitive answer for me! I do wish I could take back some of the stuff I said in 7th because it wasn't right of me to do the things I did in that time! I've grown quite a lot since then!

Yet for some strange reason SIO is often praised and BB trashed. Makes no sense. I think it's because Shake It Off is a very fun and upbeat song that makes you wanna dance as much as it makes you wanna smash the radio for playing it, the horns are the best part of SIO, IMO. (Not to mention it's nature as a field of corn actually worked for it). Bad Blood, however, don't really have anything that would stood out if it's not for the remix, the original version of BB is what would happen to Style if you remove the disco guitar.

I don't think anything is beating The Hills until something new comes along. Even if she did something, the streaming factor still isn't there. But I can see this definitely getting Top 5.

Yells from the back of the room "she doesn't even go here!" Okay you just confused me! Are you trying to throw shade at me? or...is it something else that i'm not understanding? All I was doing was telling a story that involved me having "bad blood" with bullies in middle school and how that was relatable to me in that lifetime. I'm pretty sure i'm allowed to talk about my life, my opinions on specific songs, artists, and other stuff here on pulse. Are we good on that? :) If so, I wish for you to have a great day! :)

Kinda off-topic, but I guess I'm the only one who thinks I Know Places would have huge potential as a single? All I see is love for Out of The Woods. Kinda soon to think about the next single and I like WD (although I couldn't remember which one it was initially), but IKP is the I Knew You Were Trouble of the album for me.

Yes I agree that would be a great single but we know Taylor seems to do well with just about any song.

I LOVE I Know Places! But I love Out of the Woods more. They are two of the best songs on the album though. However unlikely it is, if OOTW came next followed by IKP, it would be an absolutely perfect era for me.

Just being in the Top 10 with a 5th single is remarkable and all her singles lingered a long time on the Hot 100.

Just said there was nothing unusual or funny about your statement. I also could have said there wasn't any reason to post what you did because your statement was completely meaningless.
