I hope this goes to #1 on Adult Contemporary before Adele's Hello gets there since once Hello gets there it will hang out at #1 a long long long time. Wildest Dreams is doing great at AC so I think it will make it.

So will #6 be its Hot 100 peak? Disappointed if so, thought top 5 at least would happen. Why do the two best songs of the album have to get stuck at #6?

I just always thought top 10/top 5 for this on pop as I didn't feel it was as strong for radio as her previous releases.

Taylor Swift Scores Fifth No. 1 From '1989' on Pop Songs Chart www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6738523/taylor-swift-fifth-no-1-1989-pop-songs-chartBy Gary Trust | October 26, 2015 10:50 AM EDT 'Wildest Dreams' hits No. 1 on the airplay chart, becoming the fifth leader from '1989.' Only Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream' has generated more toppers – six – on the list. Another week, another No. 1 for Taylor Swift. Swift scores a fifth No. 1 from her album 1989 on Billboard's radio-based Pop Songs airplay chart (dated Nov. 7), as "Wildest Dreams" lifts 2-1. Prior to her latest leader on the Nielsen Music-measured Pop Songs chart, the first four singles from 1989 all reigned: " Shake It Off" (for two weeks); " Blank Space" ( six); " Style" ( three); and " Bad Blood," featuring Kendrick Lamar ( five). ( "Blood" also set the chart's record for the most plays in a week: 17,474 on the July 25 list.) 1989 is just the second album in the Pop Songs chart's 23-year history to yield at least five No. 1s, and the first such set churned out a record six: Katy Perry's Teenage Dream. The 2010 set bore the Pop Songs champs "California Gurls," featuring Snoop Dogg (seven weeks); the title track (four); "Firework" (four); "E.T.," featuring Kanye West (six); "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" (six); and "The One That Got Away" (one). On the all-genre airplay, sales and streaming-based Billboard Hot 100, Teenage Dream is tied with Michael Jackson's Bad (1987-88) for the most No. 1s, five each, from a single set. 1989 has produced three Hot 100 No. 1s: "Shake," "Space" and "Blood." "Style" peaked at No. 6 and "Dreams" has also reached No. 6 so far. "Dreams" is Swift's seventh No. 1 overall on Pop Songs (which ranks weekly plays on 170 reporting top 40 stations). She first led for a week in 2009 with "Love Story," from her album Fearless. (Perry and Rihanna pace all artists with 11 Pop Songs No. 1s apiece.) Aiding airplay for "Dreams" at pop radio: R3hab's remix (released Oct. 15), which adds tempo to the original ethereal ballad version. Last week, "Dreams" became the fifth No. 1 from 1989 on the Adult Pop Songs airplay chart, tying Perry's Teenage Dream for the most leaders from a single album on the survey. This week, "Dreams" tops Adult Pop Songs for a second frame.

Both "Style" & "Wildest Dreams" deserved a top 3 peak (and actually a #1 peak) more than half of her 1989 singles that actually reached #1.

Style was the best song she released and it didn't deserve to "under perform".

I honestly think she can break Katy's record on CHR and maybe Adult Top 40 too and get 7 #1's from the album. So long as OotW and NR are next.

And keeping in mind that this is referring to from a single album. :) It's crazy that Rhythm Nation and Alright just both needed to peak one spot higher and she would've had 7 #1's from that album. Her CHR stretch between Miss You Much and Because of Love is fucking iconic. 13 songs, 12 top twos. Legend. :'(

Awesome!! Now I am content. #6 peaks are just so yucky, same as #11 or #21.

And... WD just outpeaked Style. Good. I liked Style okay, but Wildest Dreams is the much better song, IMO.

Still think Blank Space will go down as THE hit off this album and her signature song.
