I hope it's something more interesting than The Cure. That was catchy enough but didn't have the oomph I've come to be spoiled by from Gaga songs. Lay it on me BloodGa.

Wasn't Bloodpop a co-writer for the majority of Joanne?

Wasn't Bloodpop a co-writer for the majority of Joanne? Yes, but his solo releases and remixes have been significantly poppier.

I'm excited by the prospect of new, poppy Gaga music but after his work on Joanne, I'd rather someone a little more below-the-radar to hopefully inspire something fresh - the way that Gaga's Redone collaborations felt fresh, despite RedOne being a no-name at the time. I don't need her searching for a follow-up to "Sorry," much less a Joanne leftover. My expectations aren't too high but I'm hoping for the best.

I need something that hits harder than 'The Cure', but is brighter/fresher/more accessible/less angry than 'Perfect Illusion'. I love Million Reasons and the new version of Joanne but i'm tired of all the gloom and doom. Give us upbeat, slick, straightforward pop with that Gaga edge.

Poor brave woman!!
The Copenhagen show was two weeks away so I'm devastated but it's all about her health.

Lady Gaga cancels final tour dates due to 'severe pain'I wonder if she knew she was going to cancel the rest of the shows? She recorded the 1/31 and 2/1 shows for future release and then canceled the rest of the dates after that. I don't know how she is going to sustain a regular residency.

^ Yeah, the residency does NOT seem like a good idea at this point. I would pull the plug on that if I were her, and it's still relatively early now for there to be minimal backlash on that.

This reaffirms my thoughts that the Vegas deal was partially motivated by wanting to perform, but wanting to stay off the road. Wishing her to be back on her feet soon. It's truly unfortunate to see her having such a difficult time with touring at such a young age (and 31 is extremely young when McCartney, Jagger, and Elton are touring into their 70s, not to mention Tony Bennett) given how much she loves to be on stage.

It's truly unfortunate to see her having such a difficult time with touring at such a young age (and 31 is extremely young when McCartney, Jagger, and Elton are touring into their 70s, not to mention Tony Bennett) given how much she loves to be on stage. I think she approaches touring a bit haphazardly for her specific circumstances. This is the third time she has had to cancel a bunch of touring dates abruptly. She knows she has physical limitations, yet she keeps planning these huge physical spectacles and plans lots of dates. If I were her management, and she wanted to perform live, I would suggest a scaled back show and only announce a handful of dates at a time. Then they can assess her endurance and health as they go along. Otherwise, she creates the nightmare of creating a huge show, sell a ton of dates, and then come to realize she cannot handle the scale, and cancels a bunch of dates. So maybe test it out and expand as she goes along if she can handle it. A Vegas residency is probably the best scenario given her health issues. Most artists play a group of dates and then they take a months long break. Not to mention that since the theater is smaller than a huge arena, the show is generally not as huge as a touring spectacle. Plus, she gets to stay put in one place for awhile.
