Kelly Clarkson is going to have a big year, I hope! Maybe a new Katy Perry album late in the year? Hopefully a new Lady Gaga album too! Oh, and Adele! Lol

adele will dominate in the later half of the year with her album and have a massive lead single.
riri will finally come out of hibernation and debut/massively climb from charting early at number one.
shut up and dance will be a big alt -> chr crossover for the early spring.
iggy's heavy crown will underperform in comparison to her previous success, but she will be featured on more songs.
taylor will continue to smash, having teenage dream-esque success with style, out of the woods, bad blood and i wish you would. people will be pressed when the last single is announced and it's not wildest dreams or i know places.
meghan trainor will continue with a very successful era, all singles going at the very least top 10 on chr and the hot 100 barring close your eyes, which, while amazing, will unexpectedly flop. her album will debut at number one, reminiscent of kesha's debut.
ellie will return with at least one top five chr hit.
sam smith will see moderate success for the rest of the itlh era, but not as much as he has had with his last two singles & latch.
ariana's team will fuck up and not release break your heart right back or one last time.
we won't see nearly as many international crossovers to the us.
drake will remix/feature on at least one more shitty song that becomes a #1 urban/rhythmic hit.
tove lo won't have another #1 chr hit but will see moderate success with the top 20 singles not on drugs and talking body. my gun will unfairly not be released.
tinashe will abruptly end her era after pretend stalls out and flops despite the obvious hits all hands on deck and feels like vegas on her album.
britney will make up for her last era with at least two top ten chr/hot 100 hits, one being the collab with iggy.
marina's album will be much more like her debut and be acclaimed by critics and fans alike, but she still won't see much international success in the singles department.
ryn weaver will be a one hit wonder after the eventual release of "octahate" and i'll be stuck waiting for news on when her debut album will come out.
banks won't see much success on the alt charts for the rest of this era, but beggin for thread will crossover to pop and go at least top 20.
ella eyre's album will be delayed and i'll be pissed, then i'll be more pissed when nothing is on the level of comeback.
the #1 hit of the year will be from a pop regular, not a newbie or older artist with a surprise comeback hit.
a series of egregrious alt remixes by rappers will happen, much like the country remixes earlier this year.
more of a prayer rather than a prediction, but jessie ware will hopefully release SOMETHING to adult formats and see a slow but steady rise into the top 10.
will probably edit with more later.

Lmao at the 2013 predictions. A few were decent, but some were WAYYYY off ADELE's first single will be massive based on the hype alone. Kinda like Gaga, BTW. Then success wise, she'll mirror Gaga with 21 being her breakout era, but radio won't be nearly as receptive to her like TF/TFM v. BTW. Katy will do a re-release. She'll premiere the first single at the SB, and it'll go #1 either on its own or by some kind of trick by Capitol. We may get one more single from Sam Smith's debut with his sophomore arriving in the fall. Bruno will release his new album, and radio will be on his diqq per usual. Gaga will flop again, then she'll suddenly turn into some indie-hasbeen performing at gay clubs in NYC. Britney will release a new album which will do better than BJ. The remainder of Nicki's singles will underperform, and they'll rush release a new album or a re-release. The debut sales of The Pinkprint will be EMBARASING btw, and she'll spend most of 2015 trying to recoup from that. Miley will release her album, trying the same gimmick of "shocking" but people will be over it. Taylor Swift will get AT LEAST two more #1s from 1989. Out of the Woods will be career-defining. Drake will release a new album and smash. Maroon 5's Sugar will do moderately well and they'll release It Was Always You. Beyonce will get pregnant again and be relatively quiet. Carrie Underwood will release her next album around the end of the year and continue to dominate Country radio while totally ignoring Pop per usual. Lil Wayne's album will flop, and he'll result back to features on Drake's songs to stay relevant. Mariah Carey will sign a new record deal after the tour, and release a new album. Rita Ora will FINALLY be dropped. Tinashe will release her sophomore album, then lose all the hype she gained this year. Kanye will release his new album which will be much more radio friendly than Yeezus, and his collaboration with Rihanna will become one of his biggest hits. Rihanna will do something totally left field music wise. The Home Soundtrack will be radio friendly, but she's going to be a lot more experimental with R8. It's going to be a massive success or a massive failure kind of era. No in between. That's all for now.

Meghan Trainor followup singles will flop on the charts and she will disappear
Taylor Swift's 3rd and 4th singles from "1989" will go top 10 on CHR/Pop radio and land in the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100.
Rihanna's lead single from her next album will be a #1 megasmash and the followup single will be a hit as well.
Miley will manage to get a top 10 hit on the charts with her lead single but the rest will flop
Selena Gomez will get more success with her next album spawning two hit singles.
2012's Success Stories-Cher Lloyd and Carly Rae Jepsen only manage get to one minor hit from their next albums.
Madonna's lead single will be a hit but the rest will flop.
Adele will have a mega lead single and a mega year with the release of her next album spawning multiple hits on the charts.
PSY will comeback with a single and it will do nothing like "Hangover" did last summer.
Ariana will release another album and see the lead single become a success while the last single from "My Everything" peaks in the 30s on CHR/Pop radio.

Adele's album will be so overhyped that a success by any reasonable standards will still be considered a flop and much ink will be spilled about her career being over.
Rihanna will finally release something with no warning and the Internet will explode
Beyonce will stay home this year counting her coins while waiting for Blue Ivy's little brother.
Madonna will have a huge sales week for her first single, and then it will fall off into oblivion because pop radio doesn't play grannies, and they'll juice her album sales with tour ticket bundles and major discounts to get her to a respectable number
Shakira will release an English version of whatever her first Spanish single is, and it will flop (hard) but Wolfy will still say it's a success because Vevo
Rita Ora will just go fade back into the ether she came from and stop trying to make fetch happen.
Nobody will know who Tove Lo is in 6 months. Kind of like now.
Gaga will ride the Tony Bennett train once more round the track.
5SOS will release 12 more albums/EPs in the next 12 months.
Nick Jonas will come out.
Britney will have a new album that performs even worse than Britney Jean and announce her retirement from recording.
Xtina will try to milk the Voice for a hit and fail (again)
American Idol gets cancelled, but Kelly Clarkson debuts her new single on the finale, for nostalgia sake.
Lil Wayne's album underperforms, he fakes his death (again), and tries releasing posthumous singles for a while.
Snoop Dogg will continue doing feature verses on random international acts songs, because he's got to pay the bills somehow.
Kesha tries to make a post-Dr. Luke comeback and fails miserably and goes back to rehab.
Fergie and Gwen's albums end up wallowing in delay hell as they attempt to find a song that catches. Fergie ends up just releasing a mixtape, Gwen throws the album out there and lets it die.
One Direction releases a new album in November and announces a break. A Zayn Malik solo single leaks fueling speculation the break is actually a break up. Liam comes out. Harry finally gets a fucking haircut.

Carrie births a boy in April, gives it the same name as mine, takes the summer to settle back into her groove with appearances on a couple awards shows & at some festivals, and then releases her 5th studio album in November and it goes #1 with an opening on par/slightly larger than Blown Away's 270k.
Adele [finally] releases her next album and it slaughters the competition in all aspects. Her lead single will be the #1 song on the Hot 100 within its first two weeks of release.
Katy Perry's Superbowl Halftime Show implodes.

Let's see... This is my first post in these kind of thread but I will try.
1989 will be Taylor's Teenage Dream single-wise and it will sold at least 4,5 Million by the end of 2015.
Adele will make a comeback, with her success depending on the lead single's quality.
Rihanna release new album, and get that yet another #1.
Lil Wayne will flop. The Carter V would probably only open with 250-300k, which is a flop for him.
Alternative will make a return in 2015 after a bleak year for the genre in 2014.
Shock value wouldn't found as much success as it have in 2013 and 2014. Maybe Miley will regain some of her sanity?
One Direction will break up shortly after their 5th album came out in November 2015. (Which is quite smart for them to)
Nick Jonas will have a quite successful year.
Ariana's success in 2015 depends on whether her team will fuck up with the next single or not.
Meghan's longevity will be tested with whether Lips Are Moving is going to smash or not. Her album could open with at least 100k if Lips Are Moving become at least a top 10 hit.
Tove Lo will stand the same test. It depends on whether Heroes (We Could Be) become at least top 10 or 20 hit or not and if she get a decent hit for her follow up single after Habits.
Pentatonix will become a bigger name, possibly become a rather dependable album artist in the years to come. That's Christmas To Me is a proof of that.
Madonna's new album won't see much difference with MDNA in term of success. An over 200k debut before plumetting.
Lady Gaga could actually make a comeback if she decided to abandon her shock value relying image and actually maximize the use of her talent as a musician.
Katy Perry Super Bowl performance won't do much good for her. She sucks in live performance.
Iggy Azalea will have decent hits in 2015, and maybe become a rather common guest rapper for pop divas remix. Will be nice to see her in a Taylor Swift's song remix.
Lorde will see some success in 2015, maybe relesing new album in 3rd quarter.
Imagine Dragons new album will be produce some decent hits, mostly Alternative success. Some will crossover top pop eventually and they won't be a one-album wonder.
I might add some more later.

Her album will easily outsell "1989" but come nowhere near "21." -Ariana will have big hits with "Break Your Heart Right Back" and "One Last Time." -Avicii will finally be embraced by Americans as something more than the "Wake Me Up" guy. Aloe won't be so lucky. -BANKS will have a huge hit with "Beggin' for Thread". -Bruno will have three big hits from his next era. -Calvin Harris will have a bigger era than "18 Months." "Outside" will be his next single, followed by "Pray to God" and finally "Faith". -Charli XCX will have a good era, but she'll really take off later in the year. -Clean Bandit will remain a one-hit wonder in America. -Echosmith will fail to get another hit. -Eden XO will have a moderate hit with "Too Cool To Dance" then fade away. -Ed Sheeran will have his biggest hit ever with "Thinking Out Loud". They won't get another hit anywhere in the world. -Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will have another great era and their first #1 album. -MAGIC! will not return to the Hot 100. -Mark Ronson will have a good comeback in England, but won't return to the American charts after "Uptown Funk". -Maroon 5 will have two more hits from V, "It Was Always You" and "Sugar." -Meghan Trainor will have a big 2015, but she won't have a hit bigger than "All About That Bass" was. -Nico & Vinz will be goners. -Niykee Heaton will break out. -1D will score their fifth and final #1 album before breaking up in December. It will spawn only one top 40 single. -Olly Murs will get a second American hit with "Wrapped Up". -P!nk will have two top 10 hits from her next album. -Pitbull will have some more hits, the biggest of which will be "Fun." -Priory will have a minor crossover with "Weekend." -Rihanna will have her biggest single debut ever. She will get her second #1 album. -Robin Schulz will become a highly prolific producer. "Sun Goes Down" will be a big American hit and launch Jasmine Thompson to stardom. -Sam Smith will have two more American hits from "In The Lonely Hour." They won't be more ballads. -The Script will have a hit with "Superheroes." -Shawn Mendes, Troye Sivan, and other similar Vine stars will start to take off. -Sheppard's "Geronimo" will be a huge hit. -Sia won't get another hit. -Taylor's "1989" will have 5 #1 singles, tying her with Katy and Michael. The album will have outsold all her others except "Fearless." -Tove Lo will do great with "Not On Drugs". -Walk The Moon will have a big hit with "Shut Up and Dance."

Let's try this.
Ariana's fourth single will go top 15 on CHR and top 30 on the Hot 100. She'll release the lead single from her next album by late Summer. The album will come out around the Holidays.
Adele will release a new album by the fall. It will be the biggest selling release of the year with ease, but sales will not have the longevity of 21. The lead single will hit #1 on the Hot 100 and CHR, the second one will hit the top 10 on the Hot 100, and a possible #1 on CHR. The third single will hit top 10 on CHR & top 20 on the Hot 100. The holidays and Grammys will keep it going, but it will have sputtered out by Summer 2016.
Ed Sheeran will see his biggest US hit with Thinking Out Loud. There will be a 4th single that will go top 20 on CHR & top 20 on the Hot 100. He'll then take a year off before releasing new material.
Sam Smith will have a CHR & Hot 100 top 10 with Like I Can. He'll then return to the studio and release a new album in December. The lead single will go top 5 on the Hot 100 and top 3 on CHR.
Disclosure will release a new album, and the first single will eventually hit the top 15 on CHR and top 20 on the Hot 100.
Maroon 5 will see moderate success with Sugar and It Was Always You. Both will go top 10 on CHR and at least top 15 on the Hot 100. Their following single will be from a soundtrack, and that will be a hit.
Nicki Minaj will see a big Urban hit from her album, and a pop single will achieve moderate crossover success (top 20). She'll also be featured on a prominent hit as well.
Katy Perry will re-release her album. There will be two singles from it. The first will be a big hit and the second will be a smaller hit as well. She'll then aim to release a new album for Summer 2016.
Drake will release a new album and get a bigger crossover hit than most expect. It will produce multiple Urban hits.
Iggy Azalea will release one more single from Reclassified (most likely Heavy Crown). It will hit the top 10 on CHR & the Hot 100. She will launch a new album campaign during the fall for either a Q4 or early 2016 release.
Jessie J will release singles. No one will care.
Lady Gaga will not release new pop music. The second album with Tony may or may not happen.
Britney will not release new music.
Lil Wayne will have one of the biggest Urban hits of the year.
Kelly Clarkson will release a new album in the fall. The lead single will go top 10 on Pop and the Hot 100.
Ellie Goulding will release a new album in the fall. The lead single will go top 5 on CHR & top 10 on the Hot 100. It'll hit #1 in the UK.

Love these threads. Let's all be mostly wrong together!
Adele: First single will go number one on the Hot 100 and top 5 on pop, album will break Britney's opening-week record. Second single will go top ten on both.
Kelly Clarkson: Single in January, album in March. Success akin to Stronger. Ends up saving the duet for single number two, which garners her two top 10 hits on Hot 100, and two top 5 hits on pop, though her promo schedule dwindles drastically after the first single, much to the frustration of her fans. Album certified platinum before 2015. Meghan Trainer is her tour's opening act.
Tove Lo: "Moments" will never be released and nothing will come of her album beyond "Habits," which will make me irate.
Christina Aguilera: New album at the end of the year that performs poorly, but is seen as a general improvement over the last two.
Taylor Swift: No more number-one singles, but album continues to sell well enough to be second-best selling female album of 2015, behind Adele.
Rihanna: Debuts with a number-one single across the Hot 100, pop and rhythmic.
Bruno Mars: New album by the end of the year, his biggest yet.
Katy Perry: Her Superbowl-fueled rerelease single will go to #1, but everything else about the project will continue to fizzle.
Fergie: Will go back to the drawing board only to release another single that does nothing. Album performs disastrously or is postponed.
Gwen Stefani: Will see a moderately successful single fueled by album sales that stall out around 300k.
The summer of 2015 will feature another crop of new artists with big streams and low album sales, continuing to highlight that this industry and its audience is making this digital transformation very poorly.
A viral video song will do so well under such ridiculous circumstances that Billboard adjusts their streaming rules.
No new albums from: Britney, Carrie, Mariah, Lady Gaga, Beyoncรฉ.

Adele: The new album will debut with 1 million, and sell steadily through the year. She'll have several successful singles, but only the lead single will be as massive as ones from "21" Shania Twain: She'll release an abum & single in mid/late 2015, but the numbers won't live up to the hype. The buzz will die down a few weeks after the single debuts, but she'll sell at least slightly better than Garth, due to ITunes & digital downloads Carrie Underwood: The first half of the year will be silent, and she'll devote it to motherhood. She'll be silent about an album, but will drop it in late Fall, which will coincide with the Superbowl and a headlining tour to support the album in 2016. Taylor Swift- She'll continue to dominate sales for 2015, and will be nominated for Album, single and Song at the Grammy's, and win a few. She will announce she has no plans to come back to Country, but she'll try appease those fans in some way. Rihanna: She'll release another album with deplorable numbers, but her domination of the singles market will continue. Katy Perry: Her Superbowl gig will be universally panned, but her digital sales will continue to skyrocket, before and after she performs. She'll be a hot topic for late night comedians for awhile, and an SNL spoof will be expected. Christina Aguliera: She'll release an album in mid 2015, have another hit feature, and announce a "mini tour" that will last a few months. *Bonus: The tabloids will invent a feud between Adele and Taylor when one eventually triumphs the other in album, or digital sales.

Britney will continue to do her Vegas thing.. No new music.. enjoying motherhood and her new boyfriend. Her Vegas shows will continue to be successful. She'll take things verrrryy slowly with new music because she's a mom now. New music will be in May 2016 and having a HIAM success-wise.
Carrie Underwood will win Country Vocal on Grammy for Something In The Water (also will sell 1.3 million by the end of next year). 2nd single (Little Toy Gun) will have minimal promotion, but able to hit top 25 BB100 and #1 BB Country Songs and Airplay, getting that Platinum single again. Next album will drop on late October / early November, with 275k debut - becoming best selling country album in 2015.

Adeleโs 1st and 2nd singles will be massive. Album will sell 1 million+ out the gate, then sell moderately well throughout the year, surpassing 1989, but only selling half as well as 21. Critical overpraise and 2016 Grammy domination to follow.
Ariana will get one more single from My Everything, then release a successful new album in the fall. She will also lose her voice briefly, causing a flurry of panic, but then the songbird shall fly free once more.
Beyoncรฉ will win AOTY, then quietly work on new music while pregnant with Red Moss.
Britney will release two Top 15 CHR hits from a moderately successful album that outperforms Britney Jean, but will quickly lose interest and abandon the project for a commercial venture like her own coffee line or something.
Bruno will smash big on his first couple singles, but his overall era will be comparable to Prismโs success.
Carrie Underwood will drop a new album in November, with at least 2 big Pop/Country crossover hits. Sheโll be selected to headline Super Bowl 2016.
Christina will finally have a Top 10 solo hit, but her album will only perform slightly better than Lotus. Small, but successful tour to follow.
Ellie Goulding will get another Top 10 solo hit, as well as a moderately successful feature or two.
Ed Sheeran will see couple more moderate hits off X. Heโll walk home from the Grammys empty-handed ร la Sara Bareilles.
Fergieโs 2nd single will fare better than her 1st. The Black Eyed Peas will see a small, but semi-successful comeback after her album flops.
Fun. will release new music, but the album will fail to match the success of Some Nights.
Gwen Stefani will push back her album release to record a couple surefire hits, one of which will surpass โBaby Donโt Lie.โ Album will fall just short of Gold.
Iggyโs success will continue, more with features than her own material. Sheโll fare better in 2016.
Imagine Dragons will fail to replicate their Night Visions success.
Katy will launch her 1st single from a Prism re-release/new album at the Super Bowl. Single will be a hit, but the supporting album will be only a moderate success.
Kelly Clarkson will have two smash singles that dominate the charts for Q1 and Q2. Single #2, the duet, will be one of the biggest hits of her career ร la โJust Give Me A Reason.โ Album will match the success of Stronger and spawn 1-2 more moderately successful singles.
Lady Gaga will be newly inspired by her relationship with Tony and see a career resurgence. Her next era will go slightly better than ARTPOP, with 2-3 Top 20 hits and less negativity (hopefully).
Lorde might have one more Top 20 hit in her, but thatโs about it.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will initially hit big with their next album/single, but the buzz will quickly die down.
Mariah will take time off to spend with her kiddies, all the while writing and recording for an album that will be out no earlier than 2016.
Meghan Trainor will fade into oblivion ร la Carly Rae Jepsen.
Miley will tone down the antics, having an era less successful than Bangerz, but more critically acclaimed.
Nicki will have one or two more successful singles/features, but The Pinkprint will flop.
One Direction will break up amid much controversy. Harry and Zayn will launch solo careers.
Pharrell will be less prominent on the charts, both as a solo act and as a writer/producer.
Pinkโs new music will be more innovative, and the album will perform similarly to her last two. Sheโll get 1-2 CHR hits, have a very successful international tour, and be pregnant again by yearโs end.
Rihannaโs first single will be one of the biggest of the year, and her album will be lauded by critics as her best. However, she will have a meltdown circa 2007 Britney, forcing tour cancellations and a rehab stint or two.
Sam Smith will sweep the Grammys, spawning one more hit off In The Lonely Hour. Heโll then focus on a follow-up album, which wonโt be released until 2016.
Sia will win at least one Grammy and make BANK off several hits written for other artists.
Taylor wonโt get any more #1s from 1989, but will still see chart and tour success. Lots of 2016 Grammy nominations with an ATOY win. Will be considered for Super Bowl โ16, but passed over for Carrie.
General Predictions:
*More one-hit wonders will emerge, with only one or two really strong breakout acts.
*DJs wonโt be as prominent as theyโve been in previous years (as artists).
*Pop music as a whole will feature more โthrowbackโ influences such as Motown and disco.

Adele's album will be so overhyped that a success by any reasonable standards will still be considered a flop and much ink will be spilled about her career being over. Rihanna will finally release something with no warning and the Internet will explode Beyonce will stay home this year counting her coins while waiting for Blue Ivy's little brother. Madonna will have a huge sales week for her first single, and then it will fall off into oblivion because pop radio doesn't play grannies, and they'll juice her album sales with tour ticket bundles and major discounts to get her to a respectable number Shakira will release an English version of whatever her first Spanish single is, and it will flop (hard) but Wolfy will still say it's a success because Vevo Rita Ora will just go fade back into the ether she came from and stop trying to make fetch happen. Nobody will know who Tove Lo is in 6 months. Kind of like now. Gaga will ride the Tony Bennett train once more round the track. 5SOS will release 12 more albums/EPs in the next 12 months. Nick Jonas will come out.Britney will have a new album that performs even worse than Britney Jean and announce her retirement from recording. Xtina will try to milk the Voice for a hit and fail (again) American Idol gets cancelled, but Kelly Clarkson debuts her new single on the finale, for nostalgia sake. Harry finally gets a f**king haircut.Hopefully ^ --- Adele releases the new album around the Grammys, being an instant success with at least two top five hits, one going #1. Rihanna releases her new album/R8, being in competition with Adele's smash. Singles will perform well, the new Stay performing best. Jealous goes top 5, with Nick having at least one more top 20 hit. Miley returns, not as big, but decent. Bruno smashes (hopefully with more songs like the 2013 stuff). Ariana returns with her third album, beating the same record Billboard claimed My Everything did. She gets 50+ weeks in top 10 consecutively, fueled by the final ME single. Her tour slays all and she finally gets a #1. DJ Earworm quits. Nicki Minaj dissapears for another year. 1989 does just as well up until Adele's new album and then starts falling. Every single will go #1. Katy will stay quiet until the latter part of the year. Gaga will release more jazz. Ke$ha will release a new album but flop (I'll probably love it and cry). Sia will return in a feature which will put Chandelier to shame. Chandelier will get near 52 weeks, possibly passing it. Maroon 5's next singles will have the same success Daylight and Love Somebody had. Flo Rida will return, as well as FUN and Bastille. Selena will finally get a top 5 hit. Adele and Taylor will collab which will be constantly switching from #1 to #2 while being in competition with Ariana and Mariah's collab (maybe)

More post in the "Let's Be Wrong Together" segment.
Will be quite frontloaded, Q1&2 will be filled with Rihanna, Adele, and Taylor.
Someone, stop Vine music from inflitrating the chart.
Thinking Out Loud will be Ed's 2nd top 10 single.
More Robin Schulz (Hopefully, I like almost everything that he touch)
Prayer in C and Geronimo smash. (Not really confident about these two..... America's music taste is very unpredictable)
Bruno Mars will have a Jupiter sized hit. (Hopefully)
Carrie's team will finally make a use of their brain and help her crossover. (What are they waiting for?)

I expect a lot of new artists. Proably new music from Katy Perry, Calvin Harris and that kind of artists but nothing outstanding from the all-known artists. I expect the biggest hit next year to come from an artist who's still unknown at the moment.

I see Britney releasing in Spring/Summer. First two singles will be top 10, if not bigger. One will feature Iggy. The album will perform better than it's predecessor, with the opening numbers greater than Britney Jean but not as good as Femme Fatale. She will be a radio darling again for a bit, but not a heavy album seller. She will stop promoting by the time the third single is released and it will edge out top 20. Myah and will.i.am will not be used on the album.

Leona Lewis will make a comeback, garnering at least two moderate hits (both passing 2 million in sales) and her album will do quite well too (selling 500k+).
Bruno Mars will get 2 Hot 100 #1s. "Uptown Funk" and then the lead single off his next album.
Katy Perry will debut a new song at the superbowl which will get to #1 on the Hot 100 and will be a part of a PRISM re-release.

I'd been meaning to make predictions but never got around to it until now so here goes:
-Adele releases *something* in August without much prior notice. My crystal ball tells me it's a single and then the hype machine begins.
-Rihanna drops that soundtrack that she's apparently doing and it receives decent reviews, maybe the best of her career, but it doesn't translate into many hits because it's not promoted fully. She releases a proper album in November.
-Iggy Azalea's goose gets cooked. She starts getting boo-ed at performances and stuff but somehow continues to get herself involved in collaborations with well-respected or big-name rappers.
-Ellie Goulding gets a #1 something. I dunno. Pop hit, album, Hot 100 hit.
-Sam Smith and Adele perform a song live for some reason.
-Katy Perry does something to fuck up at the Superbowl and it causes a big kurfuffle, she doesn't release anything for the rest of the year
-Kelly Clarkson's album is an all-around disappointment with under-performing singles and poor reviews. She takes a break and makes a comeback in 2017 to rave reviews because people want her to succeed so she does.
-Kesha is a supporting actress in a critically acclaimed movie
-The downfall of Taylor Swift begins for some reason (oversaturation? so likeable people don't like her? I dunno)
-One Direction member(s) are involved in a scandal that cancels their tour and causes international outrage
-Dr. Luke is accused by other female pop singers of rape and abuse
-Folktronica continues to gain popularity and songs from the genre will become hits without the help of a Schulz remix
-Sia does a tell-all interview that is/becomes a big deal for some reason
-not as many new artists in 2015 as 2014 because established artists come back with new material but the biggest hit of the year will be by a new artist.
-an artist/label manipulates the streaming numbers that causes a scandal on the Billboard 200 album chart, resulting in a methodology change
-no shocking coming out announcements this year
-a shocking unexpected death
