Foo Fighters took an unexpected dive from the top spot on Active. Wonder if that will hurt its chances of hitting #1 on Alt?

Yeah wtf how did this get evicted from the top spot so quickly? Hax The active equity plan. Every song on the active chart must get a turn to hit #1. That's why it feels like there's a new #1 every week.

I don't think they've had a three week #1 in years.

5 5 FOO FIGHTERS Congregation 2010 2002 8 7.518 7 6 WALK THE MOON Shut Up And Dance 2003 1968 35 10.1
With WALK THE MOON having a 60+ gap from the Foos on Billboard and a weak bullet today, I think this will miss the top 5 on Billboard :(

Would be cool if I Am a River is the 3rd single but my other choice for 3rd single would be "The Feast and The Famine". Hoping RCA doesn't pick "Outside", "In the Clear" or "Subterranean" (too slow)

Feast And The Famine or In The Clear would be my choices. If this is the last single off the album, then I'd go with In The Clear. If they're going to go at least 2 more deep, then if go with The Feast And The Famine.

I say get the 3rd hit, then finish by sending the unedited album version of "I Am A River" to radio as a YOLO single.

"The Feast and the Famine" would make the most sense but I'd really like to see them go with "What Did I Do? / God as My Witness".

"The Feast and the Famine" would make the most sense but I'd really like to see them cover something from Puddle Of Mudd's Stuck EP and re-release Sonic Highways with that song, sending it as the single. Of course you would

I think the highest this gets on Alt will be #2. The bullet has increased again, and this should pass Believe, and Black Sun and Hollow Moon in the passing weeks. This will be blocked from #1 by Muse

As Juan Carlos pointed out: "I Am A River" has been added to BBC Radio's C-List, so it's likely the third single in the UK. Could possibly follow here.

"I Am a River" is a great song, but it really doesn't scream single material to me. I'd like to see "In the Clear" get the nod.

At this point I'd rather them just say "f*ck it, we're the Foo Fighters" and release I Am A River anyways. They already scored 2 hits this album, and they don't really need to promote themselves. Go with the fun, wacky choice haha/

I'm all for "In The Clear" as well. It's probably my favorite on the album, is radio friendly, and is different from the previous 2 singles. "I Am A River" is good too, but I fear a radio edit could ruin the integrity of it, kind of like The Black Keys "The Weight of Love".

I was also thinking "The Feast And The Famine"

To be honest, I want "I Am a River" next, but that song is seven minutes long and there's no way it will be played on radio without a radio edit and that would be pointless (because I think every part of the song is important and trimming it would ruin the song's beauty). So they should send "The Feast and The Famine" next. Otherwise, "What Did I Do?/God As My Witness". Avoid releasing "Subterranean" at all costs.

I love the idea of I Am A River as a single (it's probably my favorite song on the record) but it won't do much, especially without an edit. If they want the song that will give them the best shot at Active and Alt success, Feast and the Famine is the only option imo.
Subterranean and Outside are the two I would really avoid, and What Did I Do/God As My Witness doesn't really sound like a radio track. I guess that leaves In The Clear as the only other potential choice, and if they go four singles deep that's what I would pick.
