I hope Miley puts out a full album in 2016 and really promotes it. I love all of her styles. She is one talented gal!

Apparently she's joining The Voice full time next season as a judge?

She just killed it on Fallon doing a Bob Dylan cover. There's just something about this girl that captivates me. Easily my favorite amongst the newer generation of artists. Not to mention she is absolutely stunning. I hope a new album is in the near future.

Nu Miley?! It better be good!
I don't know what good would be from Miley though. If it's like a Bangerz song I probably #wontcare but if she tries to go all woke like Katy (tried), I'll be disappointed too.

Looking forward toward to new Miley! Definitely my favorite of all the young pop stars. I hope she continues the musical direction from Bangerz but in a fresh way-- I'm pretty confident she will!

I hope her new material actually consists of "bangers" this time. Cause they were far and few between on Bangerz. Also, Her Dead Petz was terrible, and I hope this sounds nothing like it.

Read the article and seems like she's in a nice place now. I got turned off with her post-Hannah Montana antics (we get it you're grown up) but her stint on The Voice last year made me see her again on a new light, she's a sweetheart.

As a fan of Bangers and of Miley as a person, that interview rubbed me the wrong way. When people were accusing her of cultural appropriation and trying on hip-hop as a fashion statement, I defended her because I believed her explanation, where she basically said, "This is who I am, y'all!" For her to basically trivialize hip-hop (outside of one Kendrick lyric) as "Come sit on my dick, suck on my cock" when she was twerking and sticking her tongue out and rapping about Jordans and all that is just...disingenuous. So, now she is going to her "true" roots and doing singer-songwriter stuff, since hip-hop no longer serves a purpose for her master place. Best of luck to her but unless the music is phenomenal, I am not really interested.

I copied this post from FB:
white womanhood is a joke and so is Miley Cyrus.
how wonderful for her that she can slip in and out of performing blackness so easily.
how wonderful for her that she can fall back on pure white womanhood so easily.
how wonderful for her that she can go from shoving her nudity in the world's face for shock value and in the name of #freethenipple white feminism at every available chance these past few years to respectability politicking so easily.
how wonderful that she can go from dirty grinch finger dreads and back-sassing Nicki Minaj for legitimate criticisms on live TV to looking innocent in this Little House on the Prairie dress so easily. how wonderful that she can go from worshipping cannabis and broadcasting it daily to a respectable, clean, and pure white housewife for Lesser Hemsworth so easily.
she wore her bastardized ideas of blackness as a costume and then shed the skin like the snake she is, and has yet to apologize or give credit where it is due, and she likely never will.
Beckies are a pestilence.

The optics of this whole "role reversal" looks bad but come on we all knew she wasn't this hiphop chick. Miley is young and young people go through different styles and looks and interests. She is young enough to give her a pass and say she is maturing . If she was older and switched up it would be more problematic. I don't think she was being totally fake just confused and finding herself maybe . I could be wrong ofcourse but giving her the benefit of doubt because not everything is always as it seems.

^That was a great explanation and very mature. I can't argue with anything she said because I agree but the only thing she could change is signing off a different way as the only MC is MC herself, there can only be one mother of Christmas/Christ, Thanks!

I always forget that journalists are looking for controversy and sound bytes. That said, actions speak louder than words so I will be watching Miley.

I'm here for the new, mature Miley. I liked Bangerz but her public image was a mess and Dead Petz did nothing for me.

That interview was really disappointing even with the "oh shit I pissed everyone off" apology. It is one thing to change. It is way more mature to me to change, but not necessarily think you are "above" what you used to be. I see it a lot in just normal life. Like, I had a friend in college who would drink and do drugs and bragged about hooking up with a black guy one time and then like...in ONE YEAR she got married and all of a sudden she is a granola mom who turns up her nose at young people and gets super judgey about stuff that she was doing herself not too long ago. The interview really, really came off that way except even worse because of how she sounds about hip hop culture (which, to me is very racially tinged commentary).
I am still interested in what she has to bring musically, but if she is acting like she is a grown up now who needs to bring a message of positivity to "younger generation" then I hope she also brings some self-awareness along with that.

Yes, there's a bit of a disingenuous undertone to his whole "evolution" but I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt and reserving final judgment for the music and campaign behind the album.

I think I came to terms with her faux hip hop trend jumping ass the first time so because I knew she was a fraud then it doesn't make me pissed of now. Having said that she ain't the first white girl who uses the culture and discards it when appropriate for themselves.
