HITS has a little blurb that they think Taylor will sell another 3 million copies in 2015: www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/newsPage.cgi?news10245m01And a crowded album release schedule for the 1st Quarter: www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/rumormill.cgiHITS ON HITS: Steve Bartels’ Def Jam broke fast out of the starting gate with Kanye West’s Paul McCartney collab “Only One” (see 1/1 item below), which appeared just as the ball dropped in Times Square. Yeezy becomes the first major act in what is shaping up as an unusually crowded Q1 release schedule. The next three months will likely bring new albums from Imagine Dragons, Gwen Stefani, Fall Out Boy, Meghan Trainor, Kendrick Lamar, Kid Rock, Jamie Foxx, Ne-Yo, Mark Ronson, Luke Bryan’s next Spring Break EP and Lil Wayne—assuming the issues with Cash Money get sorted out.

I'm not sure it will happen.
Y'all know me. I'm more a let's to get 4 million first, then think about 5 million.
Fearless was at a rounded 6.9 million in November.

Doubling it's sales over the next year seem like it could be a bit of a stretch to me considering it's sales are liking going to come much closer to earth than they have been in the past month with holiday buying. We'll know more once we see how people are buying it in a month or two

She is gonna "outsell" Fearless thanks to TEA.

I am usually pretty conservative predicting stuff because adding another 3 million will be a tall order for Taylor to achieve. I think her selling 5 million+ is a given though unless something goes horrifically wrong with the third single.

Fearless is still at 6xP.
Big Machine hasn't certified 1989 yet.
Red was certified 3xP during it's 4th/5th chart week.

I'm thinking, given at least two more huge hits, six million is within reach (which I never would have said pre-release). Unlike Red, she should have the single success to maintain a hell of a lot more longevity this go around. Four million is a couple weeks away and five million is a foregone conclusion at this point in my opinion.

I think it time for Big Machine to get Taylor Swift albums updated as far as certifications are concerned. It's stupid they didn't do it. Taylor would have had the #1 album of 2014 with the RIAA. Maybe they think she can go 6xP/7xP in 2015 to make her #1 in 2015? Unless Adele outsells Taylor...

Great to see this classic in the top 50 (as of now). I saw it's discounted and on the iTunes homepage. Anyone have an updated figure for this album?

I hope Taylor was able to do over 200K this past week so this could be her 10th consecutive week over 200K. Billboard reported that "Confessions" was the last album to accomplish this.

Ed Sheeran & Hozier so high! Surprised that people are still going for "The New Classic" over "Reclassified". Probably how the TEA and SEA sales are that people are streaming Black Widow and Fancy more from the original album so those are counting towards that total. Same for the single sales.

I always thought that the end result came from pure album sales. If "TNC" sold more than "Reclassified", then the TEA/SEA points went to the better selling album.

Consumers are not quite ready to let Frozen go. We love it, and still have yet to get the soundtrack or home video. :)
