I'm beyond ready for new.music from these boys They've spent much of 2015 working on their sophomore album. I know they were busy with the new music early in the year, so it was a tad surprising they decided to go with "Already Callin' You Mine" after "Close Your Eyes'" marathon chart run. I don't think we'll have to wait very long into 2016 for their next lead single.

I'm sensing a trend here. Prediction: It'll be released on the first of February

"Already Callin'" You Mine" will be a top 10 single by Sunday. Stoney Creek has gone all out this week to make sure of that. This is "Already Callin' You Mine's" spins and audience gains over the past five days.
Date: Spins (+/-) Audience (+/-)
12/7 +120 +312k 12/8 +123 +517K 12/9 +136 +700k 12/10 +168 +700K 12/11 +146 +473K
This song has gained 693 spins and 2.7 million in audience over these five days. Compare that to the four weeks prior (28 days), where this song gained 430 spins...

This song is officially top 10 on MB this week. It gained 954 spins and 3.7 million in audience. It's almost comical.
This one's fall might be harder than "Run Away With You".

Sorry for consecutive posts but "Already Callin' You Mine" hit #10 on Billboard this week as well, as Parmalee edged Sam Hunt by 430k in total audience.

As soon as I saw this morning's MB update, I figured this would finish at #10 on Billboard (in addition to MB). ACYM lost 91 spins but still gained 87k in audience, and that was a clear signal that Stoney Creek wanted the Billboard top 10 as well. It'll be interesting to see if Billboard sends this recurrent next week or not (after it inevitably starts to plummet, beginning tomorrow). My guess is yes, but sometimes they don't send songs recurrent when it gets this close to Christmas. I do think they'll still send songs recurrent on the 21st, though, but not during the week of the 28th and the 4th.

Why wouldn't Stoney Creek push even harder to make this a top 5 in Jan. Then give them a Month off Radio and drop a new single mid Feb off their Soph album? Doesnt that make more sense?

Why wouldn't Stoney Creek push even harder to make this a top 5 in Jan. Then give them a Month off Radio and drop a new single mid Feb off their Soph album? Doesnt that make more sense? The reason that radio gives in to these massive final pushes is because the incentive is that the label's promotion staff will not work it after that push week...that allows for radio to finally let this one go (which it has, as evidence by the loss of 365 spins and 2.5 million in audience in today's update). Country radio really wanted to not play this one in heavy to medium rotation for the past two months but the Stoney Creek staff has vigorously kept it alive to get it to the top 10. It just wouldn't have lasted long enough for a top 5 peak and the label basically threw everything they had for seven days to reach their goal. There's absolutely no chance that Stoney Creek/BBMG could have convinced radio to keep this one going through January -- that would have put it at 50 weeks -- with a song that has had very little buzz and terrible sales -- that wasn't happening, lol. Top 10 is good enough and to be quite frank, this probably shouldn't have ever seen the top 20, let alone top 10. It also would have continued to cost money to keep promoting this one (it already cost them a ton) and I guarantee their predetermined schedule (which was most likely worked out months ago) called for their lead single to be released early in Q1.
