Rock radio to country radio crossovers I can see happening (it's happened in the past for the folkier songs on alternative even), vice versa I can't. Only reason Zac is doing so well on active is because Chris' name is attached to it. I doubt it's just because Chris Cornell is on it as well. ZBB have always had a southern rock sound to them, and have worked with Dave Grohl before. Many rock bands and rock DJ's have publicly said they're huge fans of Zac Brown. This is just the first time they've decided to promote to rock radio. And you'd be surprised, there's quite a few country songs that I think could be worked at Active. "Bottoms Up" by Brantley Gilbert could have been a big hit, and same with Florida Georgia Line's "Stay" (Which is a cover of Black Stone Cherry). Well, this got to top 30 in the country charts

I'm sure Chris Cornell's name on this track helped ZBB in terms of crossing over. I actually think it's refreshing to see an act push Country to Rock radio; it's certainly a change from all the Country acts trying to get Pop radio in their corner. So many artists, (especially in Country), try to crossover and lack the authenticity while doing so. In ZBB's case, though, this progression in sound seems authentic, and the fact that they AREN'T pushing this to Country says that they aren't willing to pretend this is Country, which I can respect.

Chris Cornell's name is certainly helping, I won't deny that. But he hasn't had a hit by himself solo in eons either, so like I said, I don't think he's the SOLE reason why this is doing well. ZBB just has a very wide pull.

Kid Rock & Ted Nugent need to hunker down in a fallout shelter & never come back Ha those are probably two of the best concerts I've seen, so hopefully they take me with them. Seems like you don't like anything with slightly heavy guitars?
