Album Cover Art for (35 MPH Town) Speaking of boring album covers..... It's basically the same album cover as the single cover, hence why I didn't originally post it, lol. Thanks for the image though rbundy1987. :)

The single cover image > album cover. I actually really like the concept of the speed limit sign, but I think it looks way better without the graffiti writing of 'town.'

This is going to disappoint some of you but here is the Cover Art for Michael Ray by Michael Ray out Aug 7th, it is the same cover art as the single cover for "Kiss You In The Morning".

Don Henley Cass County (Capital Records) Out September 25th!!! "That Old Flame (with Martina McBride)" is fantastic and "Take A Picture Of This" is very good as well. I've always been a big Eagles fan, so I'm really looking forward to this.

I'm really looking forward to Don Henley's. I LOVE the Eagles, and honestly, they'd probably be too country for country radio today lol. "Lyin' Eyes" would definitely not be a hit on country radio today :
Michael Ray....good lord, WE GET IT. He's hunky and funky (I feel disgusting typing that) quit showing us the same picture already!

I don't see anything wrong with Michael Ray in that picture, aside from maybe his eyes if you look at them closely and for too long.

"Recording this time around was really just about finding me voice as a solo artist, and for me, that meant getting back to my roots," Linsey tells ETonline. "I grew up in New Orleans and I've always had a soulful sound, I'm just now really able to showcase it."
The six-track EP will be released on Garth Brooks' GhostTunes starting Monday, July 27, and will be available on iTunes and all other digital retails on Friday, July 31. See the complete tracklist below.
"I wanted to write about what I know and what I've been through," Linsey says of the collection. "I haven't always been confident. I'm still not always confident. I struggle with feeling balanced and good enough, all the time. I've been through some hard stuff and I've come out on the other side and I'm ok. I'm stronger than ever. I think people can relate to that. I want to be an inspiration to others."
Believer Track List 1. Counterfeit 2. Believer 3. Sunshine In My Soul 4. This Side of Heaven 5. Everything Is Happening 6. Best of Me

I'm sure they used other charts (R&R) other than Billboard (and I'm sure you knew that before posting, lol). That's typical in these stories. Just sweeten up the numbers.

Nearly two dozen #1s? I have Clint Black at 13 chart topping hits. I'm sure they used other charts (R&R) other than Billboard (and I'm sure you knew that before posting, lol). That's typical in these stories. Just sweeten up the numbers. Of course they do. In the case of Clint Black, he's had 39 top 40 hits between 1989-2004. We will say 23 is close to two dozen (because it is). In terms of percentages of #1s versus top 40s, that means Black would have 59% of his top 40s being #1s. Not so. His pecentage is at 33% (13 out of 39). Even if we were to throw in his five #2s, the numbers would not be close. A few years ago, I heard Terrence Howard was going to play Charley Pride for a movie (have not heard anything about that one in a while). They said Pride had 36 chart toppers. That was interesting because he has 29 #1s and seven #2s (or 36 top two hits). I love how publicists play the numbers game.

^ First album in nearly a decade huh? Wonder if it will be titled "Clint Back"? :) His last full length studio album was Drinkin' Songs & Other Logic in 2005 ("Rainbow In The Rain", "Code Of The West", "Drinkin' Songs & Other Logic", "Heartaches"), under his own Equity Music Group. Equity went under in December of 2008. He had an EP in 2008 called Long Cool EP which featured the title track and 'The Strong One."

So I dug around and found this...Lee Ann Womack, Vince, Alison Kraus, Ashley Monroe and Trisha were primarily harmony vocals on the album. Bramble Rose (Lead vocals DH, Mick Jagger, and Miranda Lambert) The Cost of Living (Lead vocals DH and Merle Haggard) No, Thank You (harmony vocal Vince Gill) Waiting Tables (harmony vocals Molly Felder, Jamey Johnson, and Lee Ann Womack) Take a Picture of This (harmony vocals Michelle Branch, Sally Dwarsky, Gale Mayes and Angela Primm) Too Far Gone (harmony vocals Alison Kraus and Jamey Johnson) That Old Flame (Lead vocals DH and Martina McBride) The Brand New Tennessee Waltz (harmony vocals Alison Kraus) Words Can Break Your Heart (harmony vocals Trisha Yearwood) When I Stop Dreaming (lead vocals DH and Dolly Parton) Praying for Rain (harmony vocals Molly Felder, Vince Gill, Alison Kraus, Ashley Monroe, and Trisha Yearwood) Too Much Pride (harmony vocals Gale Mayes and Angela Primm) She Sang Hymns Out of Tune (harmony vocals Molly Felder, Martie Maguire, Ashley Monroe, and Emily Robison) Train in the Distance (harmony vocal Lucinda Williams) A Younger Man Where I Am Now (harmony vocal Trisha Yearwood)

Clint Black preps new album with old strategy: Rolling StoneWindmills first point this out on her twitter but it was something that first crossed my mind as well..."Why didn't Clint sign with Nash Icon?" It's likely because this album will be a throwback to what Clint recorded in his prime, heck even along the lines of his last studio album Drinkin' Songs & Other Logic, which was nothing but traditional country, so trying to make music that would get played on mainstream radio wasn't on his radar. Clint made it clear here that he's not concerned about getting mainstream airplay and wishes to not make the music that "perks country radio programmers ears." This was my favorite quote from Clint in the story:

^ Clint may also want a deal that fits his needs better. Not everyone will like the contracts that NASH Icon offers. Look for a band like Lonestar or a guy like Collin Raye to be more receptive to NASH Icon labels in the future.

Expect more Nelly on FGL's forthcoming 3rd studio album!!! Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett Co-Write Song on the RoadAnything goes goes like this… Florida Georgia Line took a time-out from the Anything Goes Tour to pen a new track with opening act and “It Goes Like This” singer Thomas Rhett. “This is where we do a lot of writing on the road, just kickin’ it,” Tyler Hubbard says on the latest edition of their Inside the Line web series. The song isn't the first time Florida Georgia Line and Thomas have collaborated. TR also co-wrote the duo's 2013 hit single "Round Here." Florida Georgia Line has also collaborated with rapper friend Nelly for their third studio album. No official word when the release is due out. Ugh Nelly really?!?!?! That makes me cringe. Just as the song Anything Goes was a guilty pleasure. These guys can only push the boundaries so much before people eventually get sick and tired of it. I can only hope that they flame out but that's probably not gonna happen.
