I already pointed this out in the non-singles/news thread, but Sony Nashville CEO Gary Overton said both Jake Owen and Chris Young are in the studio right now and will have new music out this year. So I fully expect that "What We Ain't Got" to be the final single from Days Of Gold and "Lonely Eyes" to be the final single from A.M..
Not that we weren't thinking that already but I think it's confirmed now. I suspect that Chris and Jake will release lead singles not long after their current singles are finished.

^ I get the feeling Farce The Music could have a field day with that album cover. In all seriousness though I love AGWIAB and hope that Tyler keeps it on the traditional side despite the somewhat creepy cover. No doubt they will. I do think that the cover is completely Tyler Farr though. He's a 'redneck' guy who happens to sing country music songs. That being said, I don't know if the image fits the title as it feels more "Redneck Crazy" to me than "Suffer In Peace." Jake confirmed that at the presser for the album (which I mentioned in the thread for What We Ain't Got). It also makes sense to move to the next album with Chris Young. Both sold well this time around (anything in the 200-300k range sold is very solid this day in age) and I suspect their fans will eat up the upcoming singles from both (both which will likely get premiered during CRS).

Tyler Farr's cover makes me think of this: But his is far less creepy (as in not at all really) than Wade Bowen's.

I love the Wade Bowen cover , it was kinda artsy. And I wouldnt really describe Tylers as creepy as I would down right goofy.

Yeah, the Wade Bowen album cover is really cool. Tyler Farr's new album cover just looks really awkward, although I'm interested to hear how the music will sound.

Lady Antebellum will be in Europe and Australia the next couple weeks, but before their going to leave it looks like they are laying down tracks for upcoming material. Hopefully this is just the beginning of the recording process of a new album and not another deluxe package re-issue. I think we will definitely see one more single from 747 before they move on. The album has only been out for 5 months.

I hope they release another single from 747 and then move on to a new era. That'd be the best of both worlds, because I wasn't fond of that album, so I'd like new material, but I also don't want to see any more "oh no, the second single underperformed a little -- let's move on quick or do another re-release" type shenanigans. That's gonna backfire on them quick if they keep doing stuff like that.

If The Sun Comes Up NOW here is TRUE COUNTRY, just bought this on iTunes and I tell you, it's good to hear Wade back with new music. He was one of my favorite stars back in the 90s and realize he never really left the genre, just it's good to hear his voice again. No bro on this album, it's worth the $9.90 and I am glad I bought it. Strong material here.

Montgomery Gentry's upcoming album is gonna be moved to June.
From Billboard: "Troy and Eddie have finished their upcoming album (which will be their first in four years) and are hoping to have the record in the hands of fans this summer. "As of right now, we're getting such good response with the single that we're going to wait and let it breathe at radio for a little while before we release the record -- which tentatively is going to be in June sometime."

I really like that ZBB album cover. It's the first time we've seen Zac on the cover since The Foundation. I was expecting that, if they decided to do a picture, it would be one showcasing all the band members, perhaps similar to this one which I believe came about from the "Goodbye In Her Eyes" photoshoot. But I can't complain because I really do like the Jekyll + Hyde cover. A lot of the songs sound very intriguing as well.

That photo doesn't have the 8th member, Matt M.! I know...but that's because he wasn't added to the band until after the photo was taken :) I was simply saying that, if the band decided to do an actual photo for the album cover, I was expecting one with all the band members (rather than just Zac). But again, I won't complain, because I really love the cover that they came up with.

Mango Tree and Castaway sound like they could be continuing their tradition of beachy/tropical sounding songs. One of the things I LOVE about ZBB is they have put out some of the best margarita making music since Kenny Chesney was putting out his island flavored ditty's.

Clare Dunn posted this on her facebook page. I'm thinking UMG still needs to get her familiar with radio more but I expect a terrestrial debut single in the next couple months.

Lee Ann Womack will offer up a three song limited edition 12'' vinyl record titled Trouble In Mind on April 18th (Record Store Day). Womack then teamed with Richard Bennett (Mark Knopfler/Steve Earle), who brought in several vintage guitars. The duo recorded several tunes in one afternoon, and picked three for Trouble In Mind. āI think independent record stores are so important,ā Womack says. āItās the last temple of music you can take homeā¦ A place where people come looking for the rare, for the special or even just the record they have to buy one more time. But I love the idea of people selling records, talking about whatās on them, getting turned on to cool music. I wanted to be part of Record Store Day last year, but we couldnāt get it together in time. So this year, we started early. I got to have Richard Bennett, who is one of those musicians who can get so much heart and tone out of his guitars, come to the house. It was just the two of us, and it was awesome!ā The three songs are the blues classic āTrouble in Mind,ā Roger Millerās semi-obscure āWhere Have All The Average People Gone?ā and Ralph Stanleyās bluegrass gospel song āIāve Just Seen The Rock of Ages.ā The project is engineered by Chuck Ainlay and mastered by Paul Hamann at Suma Recording Studio. Trouble In Mind is just the latest in a string of interesting collaborations Womack has taken part in during recent months. She co-hosted the International Bluegrass Music Awards with bluegrass stalwart Jerry Douglas, participated in a CMT Crossroads taping with John Legend, recorded with Ralph Stanley, and more. Tyler Farr-Suffer In Peace (April 28th)
Tracklisting:
C.O.U.N.T.R.Y. - Chris Tompkins/Craig Wiseman/Rodney Clawson - somethin tells me this will be a another Locash clone crap fest
Damn Good Friends (Duet with Jason Aldean) - Brent Anderson/Chris DuBois/Neil Medley - really Tyler getting in with Aldean i thought you were better than that
Criminal - Dallas Davidson/Rhett Akins/Ashley Gorley - this has trash written all over it
Now i hope this record is good. The first one was ok. It had a few good tracks. But, this record maybe the push to the road to full bro. I hope not.
