I semi-like this. The instrumentation is good IMO, but the narrator is a complete douchebag in this song. I don't think he is at all. I feel like we have all had someone we liked who was dating someone else and we wanted them to break up. He's also saying he's not going to do anything until she does break up with him which I think is better than a lot of guys.

Well it's definitely intriguing what looks to be happening with Old Dominion. Their really moving fast this week and looks to land at #2 on both BB and MB. Now with them not hosting CCUSA till after FGL and Cole Swindell do. So I think it's possible for Old Dominion to spend a few weeks at the top. Sony is playing excellently, as it looks Old Dominion is going to spend a couple of weeks on top on Bilboard. As I think FGL and Cole will be MB-only #1s. But in the process, Carrie Underwood may be sacrificed just so they can get a multi-week #1. I think the top 3 is neck and neck at this point, and given the competition, there's no way they survive past this week, in my opinion. Sony probably planned a #1 push in a few weeks, but they saw an opening now to get their #1. I'm all for Old Dominion getting a #1, it's a great song, but are they going to end up screwing over their labelmate in the process?

At this point, I'm not trying to deviate from the discussion, I think the new Sony CEO trying to get multi-week #1s for all its artists is foolish. No one rarely has a multi-week #1 at this point and at this point, the top 6 on the charts are all surging and the competition is growing. The smart thing for Sony to do is get their week in for OD, and then move on.

I'm all for Old Dominion getting a #1, it's a great song, but are they going to end up screwing over their labelmate in the process? They are neck and neck but if Old Dominion gets only the BB #1 which it looks like will happen why would Sony just accept one week only on BB they might as well try then next week to also get the MB #1. That's where Cole Swindell makes things particularly messy next week if he snatches the MB #1 if he snatches than I think Old Dominion will try one more week to get the MB #1. Now if Cole fails next week to hit the top on either chart which is entirely possible than I see Old Dominion and Cole Swindell both falling but if Cole can snatch the top than Carrie will have to wait another week. Now like I said before what would help Carrie out is if Chris Young can sneak ahead of Dan + Shay on both BB and MB so Carrie can comfortably go up without Nothing Like You breathing down her throat. Than Carrie gets her week at the top than Dan + Shay, Blake Shelton, and Chris Young can battle it out.

They won't be able to keep OD at #1 levels of airplay for another two weeks beyond this week. They're already at super high levels and have nowhere to go.

I think they won't gain persay but I think that Sony is going to do everything they can to keep Old Dominion afloat next week and to try and block Cole Swindell from the top particularly MB.

It has probably gained around 3 million AI this week and staying equal to the number of spins that FGL has on MB. The MB will be close.

All I can say to everybody who was so sure that FGL was going to get the BB #1. I Told You So. Gloating over. I am happy for them because it's nice to see the bigger hit (Break Up With Him) rightfully get the BB #1 over the lesser hit (Anything Goes). I still think they want the MB #1 so I think they will hold on through the week.

Oh I hate Break Up With Him. But I think that Break Up With Him is the bigger hit out of the two. I do prefer Anything Goes but I just think Old Dominion had the bigger hit.

Old Dominion just sold themselves out with this track. They may enjoy mainstream success now but their whole street (dirt road ;) ) credibility has gone down the drain. Kat5Kind You see. We are not anti-FGL, after all! :)

The first moment I heard this song, I thought blech. But that was on intro-as I listened further into the song it really does click for me. Nice instrumentals, production (although not country by any means-like half the songs on Country Radio) and I like the lighthearted tone as the guy coaxes the subject to see the light. I think many (myself included) can find this song relatable; being in a relationship you are reluctant to cut off because the status quo can be easier or you don't want to hurt someone's feelings........even as you know you are attracted to another.
Very happy they scored a #1 over FGL's inferior same old same old material of a song.
This is a clever ear candy little song, IMO and I'm not so sure I can label anyone as 'selling out' these days-when even my favorite artist Keith Urban put out an album like Fuse (which I love although not as much as his other work).

I dislike this song as well but it definitely deserved the top spot over the FGL track because this has been huge and "Anything Goes" has had an underwhelming performance by their standards. If there was FGL single that needed to miss the top, it was that one.

They're going for MB no. 1 I figured as much. Pretty sure they are going to end up blocking Cole on MB and BB this week, but hoping they peak this weekend since they are hosting CCUSA this weekend and Carrie is hosting next weekend.

I agree that the lyrics are or have been very relatable to millions of guys for years and I've enjoyed the song a lot since it was released, so the fact that it reached #1 @ BB is downright wonderful.
In light of 40+ weeks on the chart, does this have any chance of winding up #1 for the year at Billboard, or top 5 at least?

The Highway has started playing "Snapback." They played "Nowhere Fast" for a long time (I'm actually sick of it, tbh), so I'd imagine the next terrestrial single will be one of those two.

So, I had to come back around to give my two cents before this goes away. I've only heard this song once (probably about a month ago). I was heading home from the gym and this song came on the radio and I was like, "Oh, it's Sam Hunt's new song about breaking up in a small town." It wasn't until somewhere towards the end of the song I realized it wasn't Sam Hunt at all. All this to say that I find nothing appealing about this song at all and automatically hit skip when I hear it, and secondly I still think it's a Sam Hunt tune (which is no credit to Old Dominion). I'm so far removed from mainstream country radio these days I suppose.

My Dad thought this was Sam Hunt at least three separate occasions before I had to correct him that it was Old Dominion.
