You've all been waiting for it, and it's finally here! Well, kind...gonna be posting over the next little while though! Hopefully I can do this as quickly as possible! Anyway, here are 10 honorable mentions that didn't make the year-end top 50. They are in no particular order. "Can't Remember To Forget You" - Shakira ft. Rihanna (peaked at #3) "Say Something" - A Great Big World ft. Christina Aguilera (peaked at #7) "Come With Me Now" - Kongos (peaked at #12) "LaLaLa" - Naughty Boy ft. Sam Smith (peaked at #10) "Me And My Broken Heart" - Rixton (peaked at #8) "Let Your Hair Down" - Magic! (peaked/debuted at #11) "Animals" - Martin Garrix (peaked at #11) "Young Girls" - Bruno Mars (peaked at #3) sadly this is the last we see of him in 2013 :'( but a massive smash has arisen for the 2015 year-end chart stay tuned for early 2016 to see where that one ends up... "Best Day Of My Life" - American Authors (peaked at #6...don't know why it had such bad longevity for me :'() "Burn" - Ellie Goulding (peaked at #6...funny how the song is called "Burn" and it did burn out on me quite fast ) IMPORTANT NOTE: you will not see "Take Me To Church" or the aforementioned (implicitly) "Uptown Funk" on this year's chart because their respective points are being transferred to the 2015 year-end chart for optimization...similarly to how "The Monster" will end up higher than you're probably expecting since the 7 big weeks from 2013 count for this year.

There was a mistake!!!!!!! I forgot a song that was supposed to be included in the top 50 (courtesy of some of you who were fucking rushing me -_______-) therefore the DJ Earworm mashup was replaced with "Say Something", which was supposed to be #50 originally (before I forgot this key song in the top 50).

50. "Hey Brother" - Avicii ft. Dan Tyminski Peak: #4 Weeks On Chart: 7 Q1: 16 Q2: - Q3: - Q4: - A good follow-up single for Avicii. As soon as I listened to it through, I was kinda obsessed. Unfortunately this obsession did not last long at all, hence the song didn't quite peak as high as it could have. But it definitely deserved the points it did get. The song topped Dance/Electronic Songs for one week and lands at #9 on the year-end Dance/Electronic Songs list.49. "Cool Kids" - EchosmithPeak: #6Weeks On Chart: 9Q1: - Q2: - Q3: - Q4: 20A very fun, relatable song. Didn't many of us wish to be like the cool kids at one point in our lives? This song is also one that I feel underperformed and that I should have appreciated more than I did. The song was off to a great start; there were a couple days where it was my #1 song for the day. However, it quickly started to burn and could only linger around in the bottom half of my chart for the rest of its chart run. The song lands at #11 on my year-end Folk/Alternative Songs chart.
48. "Royals" - Lorde
Peak: #9 (#1 for 1 week in 2013) Weeks On Chart (2014): 14 (+16 in 2013) 2013 Rank: #14 Q1: 15 Q2: - Q3: - Q4: - Pretty impressive how this song managed to hold on in 2014 on my chart. In its 30th week, it was #10 and the next week, I was unpleasantly shocked when it tumbled out of chart all the way from #10...I was really disappointed as I thought it could end up being one of the longest-running singles on my chart. Well anyway it was a very successful song both commercially and on my chart. Definitely in my top 50 of the first half of the decade! It lands at #10 on my year-end Folk/Alternative Songs chart for 2014, on which is was #2 year-end in 2013 (it topped that chart for 7 weeks in 2013). 47. "The Man" - Aloe BlaccPeak: #7 (2 weeks)Weeks On Chart: 11Q1: 17 Q2: - Q3: - Q4: -This plagiarism of Elton John's song didn't burn out on me too fast, but it had a very mediocre chart run. It was #7 for two consecutive weeks and was in my top 10 for 5 total weeks. It is a pretty optimistic and empowering song, but I couldn't find myself getting that much into it - hence why it didn't reach my top 5 and/or stay on the chart longer. Definitely not one of the most memorable songs of the year, but it did decently for what it was. It lands at #10 on my year-end R&B Songs chart.46. "Wiggle" - Jason Derulo ft. Snoop DoggPeak: #5Weeks On Chart: 11Q1: - Q2: 17 Q3: 21 Q4: -One of the most hated songs of the year; and I can completely understand why. Lyrics don't get much worse than this. However, I often found this damn thing stuck in my head and the beat/whistling was too irresistibly catchy to me at the time (still kinda is). This got the song to debut at #6 and get in my top 5 the next week. It burned out somewhat quickly, spending a total of 5 weeks in my top 10 but like Cool Kids and Royals lingered around middle the bottom regions of my chart for quite song time, bouncing up and down between the 10-20 positions. It lands at #9 on my year-end R&B Songs chart.Note that my quarterly charts are top 25 (hence "The Man" is higher than "Royals" and "Hey Brother" while being lower than both of them on the Q1 chart because it got more points in Q2 despite not making the top 25 of Q2)

45. "Boom Clap" - Charli XCX Peak: #2 Weeks On Chart: 13 Q1: - Q2: - Q3: 13 Q4: - A cute little song. It debuted on my chart in mid-July (some time after it actually came out, I know) and after a few weeks became an obsession for me. I honestly thought it would for sure be #1, but it stalled severely mid-week for some reason :( anyway, it should've peaked at either #1 or #3 lol so it is really weird how it got sandwiched between the two big songs that week. It's a shame yet didn't get that week at #1, but anyhow, it burned out on me a lot faster than I had hoped. Right after it peaked, it fell like a stone. But that was still good enough for it to land a spot on my top 50 year-end chart. Hopefully Charli continues to use her vocal talent for songs like this one.44. "Headlights" - Eminem ft. Nate RuessPeak: #4 (2 weeks)Weeks On Chart: 10Q1: - Q2: 14 Q3: - Q4: -Another song that I was sure would go to #1 seeing as how basically every song by the King of Rap has done so thus far. I guess being really slow in terms of commercial success is part of the reason why it slowed it down on my chart as well. Man, this song is SO powerful both lyrically and instrumentally. You can sense genuine remorse in Eminem's verses and it's just so powerful it can almost make you cry. It topped the Rap Songs chart for 4 consecutive weeks and lands at #4 on the year-end Rap Songs chart (there were too few successful rap songs on my chart this year; Pitbull is not included as I consider him to be pure pop and not a hip-hop act).
43. "Let Her Go" - Passenger
Peak: #5 (2 weeks) Weeks On Chart: 16 (this includes 2 or 3 weeks from the end of 2013) Q1: 14 Q2: - Q3: - Q4: - A very soothing melody with great lyrics! This song debuted and reached my top 10 at the end of 2013, but it was definitely much bigger for me in 2014. In February, it resurged on me and reached #5 for two weeks. Sadly it also didn't have the longevity I hoped it would (it actually dropped out permanently less than a month after peaking) and thus did not make the top 40 of my year-end chart. Still I have a lot of appreciation for this song. The song topped Folk/Alternative Songs for 1 week and lands at #9 on my year-end Folk/Alternative Songs chart. 42. "Bailando" - Enrique Iglesias et. al.Peak: #1 (1 week)Weeks On Chart: 9Q1: - Q2: - Q3: 11 Q4: -Once I paid attention to this song, I was immediately obsessed - so obsessed that it debuted at #2 on my chart and went to #1 the following week! It may be the only Spanish song that will ever be #1 on my chart, but it is a well-deserved #1. Unfortunately, it had a very high burn rate and thus has the second-shortest chart run of any #1 song ever. But the great start was enough for the song to make my year-end top 50. I preferred the Spanish version because Sean Paul's annoying part wasn't in it. 41. "Summer" - Calvin HarrisPeak: #3Weeks On Chart: 15Q1: - Q2: 16 Q3: 20 Q4: -Up until that point, this was my favorite one from Calvin. A really catchy club jam and this time he's not afraid of using his voice. It was his first song to reach higher than #5. Unfortunately, like most songs in this region of the year-end chart, it burned out on me pretty fast - long before summer was actually over. The song topped Dance/Electronic Songs for 2 weeks and is #8 on year-end Dance/Electronic Songs.

OK! 50.It was a huge song but I didn't like it too much! 49.It is nice! But not too catchy for me! 48.Royals is a normal song for me! 47.TM was nice and it did well in your chart 46.I don't like Jason (like pitbull) :/ 45.Love Charli because she is sexy But her voice is really nice and different! 44.HL is nice but I didn't like it too much! 43.LHG!I don't wanna add anything about it!with that flawless lyric! 42.Bailando was high on me but faded away soon! 41. Summer was nice but again not catchy! 40. I love Chandelier...but I have headache whenever I listen to it so I don't listen to it much! I think Sia can lose 5 kg if she sings it 10 times in 1 night lol 39. A nice sexy song! 38.It could be one of my all time top 5 if Pharrell didn't say "we're up all night to get lucky" for 100 times in the song! 37. A cool song from Sam Smith! 36. I commented about LMH in your chart...and you know it is one of my fav's of Ariana! Where is the rest???????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!! I am fuck rushing you again

35. "Blank Space" - Taylor SwiftPeak: #3 (4 weeks) Weeks On Chart: 6 Q1: - Q2: - Q3: - Q4: 10 I became pretty obsessed with this song pretty fast. I really thought it would make #1 and it would have if I had debuted it sooner :( timing is key indeed...but it was in fact her fourth song to reach my top 3 and I must say I have become a fan of Taylor's music over the years! This song spent more weeks at #3 than any other song that peaked at #3, which is very impressive! It's starting to somewhat die out on me (however Style is rapidly growing on me) but I can easily say that this was a great tune! It was still big for me in the beginning of 2015 (and I still somewhat like it and therefore expect it to linger around my chart a bit longer) so it could quite possibly make my 2015 year-end list as well!34. "Wake Me Up" - Avicii ft. Aloe BlaccPeak: #4 (#1 for 5 weeks in 2013)Weeks On Chart (2014): 15 (+21 in 2013) 2013 Rank: #7 Q1: 9 Q2: - Q3: - Q4: -Easily one of my favorite songs of the decade, and the fact that it made it this high on the 2014 year-end list shows this (of course overall it won't be as high on the decade-to-date list as "Get Lucky" since that one had better longevity and is more likely higher on my decade-end list than any song on this year's list lol). The EDM part in the last minute of the song did it for me (though the vocals and lyrics were great too). Avicii is great but I don't think he will ever be able to make anything quite this good again. A true masterpiece! This song topped Dance/Electronic Songs for 8 weeks this year (which ran from the 12/26/2013 chart to the 12/18/2014 chart inclusive) and is tied with "Get Lucky" for the longest reign to date on Dance/Electronic Songs with a total of 24 weeks. It lands at #6 on my year-end Dance/Electronic Songs chart where it was #2 the previous year.
33. "Ain't It Fun" - Paramore
Peak: #5 (3 weeks) Weeks On Chart: 14 Q1: - Q2: 13 Q3: 23 Q4: - A great alternative crossover with a very meaningful message! Very true that you can't really trust anyone out there in the real world and that you gotta have your back at all times because no one will be there to save your ass in your time of trouble. This song kept bouncing up and down on my chart and I feel like it didn't do as well as it should have. It had poor longevity for me, sadly. But it was enough for it to make it this high on my year-end chart. Easily my favorite Paramore song. It topped my Folk/Alternative Songs chart for 3 weeks and lands at #8 on my year-end Folk/Alternative Songs list. 32. "Team" - LordePeak: #2Weeks On Chart: 21 (including a couple weeks from end of 2013)Q1: 11 Q2: 22 Q3: - Q4: -This song didn't do nearly as much for me as "Royals" did but I still liked it a lot. It is unfortunate that it was blocked by a song that became massive for me as I was sure at the beginning of that week that "Team" would become Lorde's second #1 on my chart. It topped Folk/Alternative Songs for 2 weeks and lands at #7 on my year-end Folk/Alternative Songs list.31. "Coming Of Age" - Foster The PeoplePeak: #1 (1 week)Weeks On Chart: 8Q1: - Q2: 8 Q3: - Q4: -What's this, three alt songs in a row? This was the first song to top my chart and never make the Hot 100, and I am proud that a song did that! I started listening to this song a couple months after it actually came out, but I was instantly obsessed and it debuted at #4. It was the closest race for number one this year as the two songs were tied and I out this one at #1 that week. So it became the band's second #1 following "Pumped Up Kicks" which topped for 2 non-consecutive weeks in 2011 (you will certainly see that one on my decade-to-date chart). This song took me to different dimensions as the instrumentals were extremely powerful. The meaning behind this song is empowering and relatable too. I really wish this song had gone mainstream as I thought it was awesome. Foster The People are easily one of my favorite alternative bands. Of course, like any non-mainstream, it burned out on me fast due to the lack of public recognition (I never heard it on the radio and it wasn't viral or anything). Such a shame, this could've been huge. But in any case, it was a #1 on my chart and it made #31 on my 2014 year-end list. It crowned Folk/Alternative Songs for a total of 5 weeks and lands at #6 on my year-end Folk/Alternative Songs chart.

30. "Demons" - Imagine DragonsPeak: #4 (2 weeks) (#2 for 2 weeks in 2013) Weeks On Chart (2014): 21 (+21 in 2013) 2013 Rank: #19 Q1: 8 Q2: 21 Q3: - Q4: - Make that 4 alternative songs in a row What an immensely powerful song! The ending of the song as well as the video literally made me cry. What made me even more sad was that the song was blocked from #1 in October 2013 by what is probably the least memorable #1 on my chart out of them all (it returned to #2 a few weeks later while a quite successful and memorable song was #1. This song deserved a #1 peak and it is very disappointing that it ended up having the fate it had. The song debuted on my chart last summer and then fell out after a couple of months but then re-entered and became much bigger once airplay was picking up. It spent a total of 42 weeks on my chart, which puts it in a tie with "Thrift Shop" for the 7th-longest ever stay on my chart officially. It is also the longest-running non-number-one single on my chart ever (though as I said it did deserve to reach #1). Additionally, it is one of just 4 songs to be in the top 30 of two separate year-end lists (not including Like A G6 which was #26 year-end 2011 and probably would've been top 30 year-end 2010 if I had an official 2010 year-end list). The song topped Folk/Alternative Songs for 3 weeks this year (+8 in 2013) and lands at #5 on my 2014 year-end Folk/Alternative Songs list where it was #4 year-end of 2013. 29. "Love Runs Out" - OneRepublicPeak: #3Weeks On Chart: 16 Q1: - Q2: 18 Q3: 7 Q4: -A pretty decent follow-up to a massive single for the band. It is almost as though it is not possible for them to actually make a bad song! This song performed decently, though not as well as I hoped. It peaked at #3 but spent more than half of its chart run in the top ten (it occasionally bounced in and out of the top ten). Disappointed that it didn't reach the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 as I thought it has a chance. Anyway, I can definitely say I enjoyed this song quite a bit and the fact that it made the top 30 of my year-end chart shows that! I don't know what else to say about this song.
28. "Blame" - Calvin Harris ft. John Newman
Peak: #1 (1 week) Weeks On Chart: 7 Q1: - Q2: - Q3: - Q4: 8 This was the first song in more than two years to debut at #1 on my chart, which is a very impressive feat in itself. The EDM part especially was the definition of eargasm for me. This song's downfall was debuting so late in the year (hence why it is shown as only having 7 weeks on the chart in 2014). Hell, even if I had simply started listening to it when it first came out and not being so late in starting to listen to it it would've been easily top 20 year-end. :( However, during the few weeks that it did chart, obviously I LOVED it and it obviously did extremely well - well enough for it to be in my year-end top 30. It peaked at #6 so far in 2015 and I'm pretty sure it will make my 2015 year-end list. The song topped Dance/Electronic Songs for all 7 of its 2014 chart weeks and lands at #5 on my 2014 year-end Dance/Electronic Songs chart 27. "Break Free" - Ariana Grande ft. ZeddPeak: #1 (1 week)Weeks On Chart: 15Q1: - Q2: - Q3: 9 Q4: 18The last minute of the song was what did it for me and got this song to #1. LOVED Ariana's singing as well as Zedd's EDM production. I was obsessed with this for a short period of time at the beginning of my co-op work term. Unfortunately, the poor longevity of this song clearly is the reason why it isn't higher on this list. I somehow got tired of this so soon (and it didn't climb right away either, it was only after a few weeks of listening and charting that it reached my top 5 and subsequently #1). But it was enough for it to be #27 on my year-end list (though I thought/hoped it would be higher back in September/October). The song topped Dance/Electronic Songs for 4 consecutive weeks and lands at #4 on my year-end Dance/Electronic Songs chart.26. "Pompeii" - BastillePeak: #4 (2 weeks)Weeks On Chart: 21Q1: 12 Q2: 11 Q3: - Q4: -Yet another song that I really feel underperformed on my chart. I actually downloaded it in August 2013 but barely listened to it until it started performing well on North American charts in January I started listening to it full-time and was obsessed with it for a week. Afterwards, I got kinda tired of it (so soon!) I think it even fell off my chart. However, it soon re-entered and ended up reaching the top 5 in late February-early March and then reached its peak of #4 in mid-late March. Anyway, this was a very well produced song IMO and the lyrics were pretty deep too. Although I would say that this much pleasure should never be taken from a natural disaster, to quote a certain someone The song topped Folk/Alternative Songs for 4 non-consecutive weeks and lands at #4 on my year-end Folk/Alternative Songs chart.

Forgot to add for the description of "Blame" that I am very disappointed in how commercially unsuccessful it was considering that it is my favorite song from Calvin so far :( IMO it deserved at least top ten on the Hot 100... 25-21 coming tonight, stay tuned! 25. "Sing" - Ed SheeranPeak: #2 Weeks On Chart: 22 Q1: - Q2: 10 Q3: 22 Q4: 23 This is the first song we have seen thus far to make three quarterly charts. This was Ed's big comeback hit, and thanks to the production by none other than Mr. Pharrell Williams, the one who wrote and performed this year's biggest Hot 100 hit, this was off to a great start both on the Hot 100 and on my chart. It debuted at #6 and jumped to #2 the following week. In that second week it got 225k points, which was the 5th biggest weekly points peak for a song in 2014. That's exactly why it is very devastating that it didn't get that #1! I was so sure this song would be #1 on my chart! It really is all about timing I guess :( Anyhow, this song ended up coming back to my chart in the fall after going recurrent because I had major renewed interest again and it reached the top 10 in its second run so I don't think that letting it re-enter as a recurrent was a mistake on my part at all! This song's beat really captivated me and Ed does a great job at singing (excuse the pun) and I liked the lyrics a lot too! Keep 'em coming, Ed and Pharrell! 24. "Timber" - Pitbull ft. KeshaPeak: #1 (1 week)Weeks On Chart: 23 (including 5 from 2013) Q1: 5 Q2: - Q3: - Q4: -This was Kesha's first song to make it to #1 on my chart ("Die Young" juuuuust missed the top spot in late 2012) and Pitbull's third. When it first came out I didn't think much of it but it re-entered my chart in late November at #12 and rose to the top 10 the next week. It eventually made it to #1 in mid-January with 186k points which was the most up until that point of any song until that was broken in March. Unfortunately though I got tired of it rather quickly and the reason it is so low on this list is that more than half of its weeks were spent in the bottom 10 and almost half were spent in the bottom 5 (it was somehow surviving that whole time). But it was great while it lasted since I loved the catchy beat and fun lyrics (next time you're in an elevator and someone says "it's going down" about the elevator, sing "I'm yelling timberrrrr" ) and thus makes it to the year-end top 25. It just missed the Q2 top 25, even though it still got points in late March and in April. If it qualified for Hip-Hop/Rap Songs, it would've topped that chart for 6 weeks and land at #4 on my year-end Hip-Hop/Rap Songs list.
23. "Dark Horse" - Katy Perry ft. Juicy J
Peak: #1 (1 week) Weeks On Chart: 17 Q1: 3 Q2: - Q3: - Q4: - This was Katy's fourth and so far last #1 on my chart. It debuted at #11 the week of New Years (January 2nd, 2014) and seeing as how I loved it, it quickly rose to #1 three weeks later. It stayed in my top ten for a couple of months after that, mostly in the top 5. However, by April I somehow started to get really tired of this song and it fell like a stone and had nowhere near the longevity it had on the Hot 100 for me (still don't get how the hell it managed to be on the Hot 100 for more than a year). It fell out the same week as "Timber" and, like "Timber", just missed the Q2 top 25 despite still being in my top 10 at the end of March and racking up some points during the first few weeks of Q2 that it was on my chart. I liked the trap elements and Katy's singing, as well as Juicy J's verse. In its prime, it was a very entertaining song overall. I definitely feel it deserved to be this high on the year-end list, maybe even a bit higher, due to how much I liked it at the beginning of this year 22. "Latch" - Disclosure ft. Sam SmithPeak: #1 (1 week)Weeks On Chart: 25Q1: - Q2: - Q3: 4 Q4: 24This song deserved to be higher tbh. The reason it wasn't is that much of its chart run occurred during the times that I was extremely busy with school and didn't get many opportunities to listen to music. Also because, of its 25 weeks on my chart, more than half were spent in the bottom 10. I did enjoy it and appreciate it a lot this year, however, and of course the song did make it to #1 by a mere 2k margin over the OMG it was competing with. That was its only week in the top 2 so it is very relieving that it did reach #1 after all. Sam's vocals as well as Disclosure's beat and production were excellent IMO. I'd take this over "Stay With Me" any day (SWM irritated me for some reason). One of the best EDM songs of the year. Speaking of which, the song topped Dance/Electronic Songs for 8 weeks (tied for the longest reign on that chart this year) and lands at #3 on my year-end Dance/Electronic Songs list. Shoutout to Mr. Thonk Eyes with this one because I know you loved/love it! Sorry that it didn't end up higher on the list :( too many weeks were spent in the lower parts of the chart.21. "Black Widow" - Iggy Azalea ft. Rita OraPeak: #1 (2 weeks)Weeks On Chart: 19Q1: - Q2: - Q3: 19 Q4: 7Now it's me time BELEEDAT! That beat though...one of the best beats of any song I heard this year! I really enjoyed Iggy's flow and Rita's vocals as well! That's why this song made it to #1 on my chart. I thought the Kill Bill theme of the video was cool too. However during its time at #1 it assisted in blocking two songs higher on this list from #1 :( in any case, I appreciated this song and surely it's more sophisticated than "Fancy" and probably took longer to produce (hence why some people prefer it over "Fancy") and that's why I appreciate it.{Spoiler}Though I still enjoyed Fancy a lot more and it is higher on this list The song topped Hip-Hop/Rap Songs for 16 total weeks and lands at #3 on my year-end Hip-Hop/Rap Songs chart. The song got one week on the chart in the beginning of the 2015 chart year but that certainly won't be enough for it to make the 2015 year-end chart.

35.I like it though I think it is not her best ever hit 34.It is flawless...really one of the best ever dance songs that I've ever herad! 33.I listened to it few times and it didn't catch me :/ 32.It is a normal song and I don't like it too much! 31.I didn't heard it! 30.Another nice song of Imagine dragons which I liked and listened to too much So motivational and energetic! 29.A great song from onerepublic although I didn't listen to it many times! 28.Love John Newman's voice! Blame is an average song though! 27.Love the music video And the song is nice and I prefer it to The way! 26.A cool song of a great British band! It is fantastic 25.Sing was so high to me but with the release of don't and after that TOL it fades on me! 24.A nice song that I didn't like too much because of my hate of Pitbull 23.DH is nice but not that nice for being such a huge song in hot 100 :) But I admire the Katy's consistency 22.Latch is nice with that sexy music video! But I didn't like it too much 21.BW is nice and the Rita's voice has strengthen the song and proved that Iggy is not a onehitwonder :)

20. "Bang Bang" - Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki MinajPeak: #2 (2 weeks) Weeks On Chart 2014: 18 Q1: - Q2: - Q3: - Q4: 6 This is one of the songs that I'm really upset didn't quite make it to #1, especially considering that it was so close and that, having heard it performed on a tv show that night, if Animals wasn't also performed then this song would've gotten the #1 it deserved :( poor Jessie! It is, however, by far her most successful song on my chart so far. I liked Domino a lot but somehow neglected it :/ anyway, I liked everything about the song - even Nicki's verse (bang bang, bang b-bang bang #slay) and really enjoyed it for quite some time. Thus it spent 6 weeks in the top five and 11 weeks in the top ten, which is pretty impressive for a song that only spent 20 total weeks on the chart. It would've been higher up on this list if I had started listening to it sooner (only started in August). Hopefully Jessie makes something this addicting again and this time it reaches #1! 19. "Turn Down For What" - DJ Snake ft. Lil JonPeak: #3Weeks On Chart: 21 Q1: - Q2: 7 Q3: 14 Q4: -This song really did wonders for me lol. Let's just say that this song is a million times better when you're under the influence it was very different from what I'm used to, but the catchy trap elements were irresistible for me! I didn't like it much at first but then it really grew on me and thus debuted on my chart in March. You could say its a guilty pleasure, or y could just say it was an extremely fun song! In any case, it slowly made its way up, finally reaching the top ten in its 7th week on my chart and peaked at #3 behind two huge songs in late May. After 13 consecutive weeks in the top ten (including 5 weeks in the top five) it fell off completely from #11...don't know how that happened and it was pretty disappointing as it had potential for being a really long-running single (same as with Royals) and I suddenly stopped listening to it :( oh well. It made the year-end top 20 with the points it got from its good run. It spent 8 weeks atop Dance/Electronic Songs (tied with "Latch" for the most in 2014) and lands at #2 on the year-end Dance/Electrnoic Songs list.
18. "Radioactive" - Imagine Dragons
Peak: #3 (#1 for 1 week in 2013) Weeks On Chart: 25 (+34 in 2013) 2013 Rank: #5 Q1: 6 Q2: 12 Q3: - Q4: - I have lots of explaining to do for this song firstly, it holds the record for the most weeks ever officially on my chart with 59 consecutive weeks. It also took 34 weeks to reach #1 (it reached #2 behind "Blurred Lines" in July/August 2013 in its 14th week then randomly resurged 20 weeks later lol) which is another record. Additionally, it spent a total of 36 weeks in my top ten which is another record (only 10 songs had spent that many weeks even in the entire chart up to the end of 2014!) This song is sure to be really high on my decade-to-date list so far due to the fact that it spent the most ever weeks on my chart and in my top ten. This is evident as it was still doing very well at the beginning of 2014 and had peaked at #3 this year alone following the Grammys and the release of the remix featuring Kendrick Lamar. It finally dropped out of my chart in June 2014. A truly very powerful and energetic song with a great tune and Kendrick of course slays his verse in the remix too. The song topped Folk/Alternative Songs for 4 weeks in 2014 (plus 15 in 2013 for a grand total of a record 19 weeks on top) and lands at #3 on this year's year-end Folk/Alternative Songs list where it was #1 year-end of 2013. 17. "Habits (Stay High)" - Tove LoPeak: #2Weeks On Chart: 14Q1: - Q2: - Q3: - Q4: 2Yet another disappointingly blocked song. "Blame" debuting at #1 was the reason this song missed its opportunity to get the #1 it deserved. With the few weeks that it got on the chart in 2014 (I started listening to it way too late - in September), it did very well and thus made it this high on the year-end chart. I listened to it a lot and thus it spent 8 of its chart weeks in the top five! I really enjoyed her vocals and can relate to the melancholy elements. It may be a depressing-sounding song but I still found it to be very enjoyable and well-produced. I did not like the repetitive remix though. The song topped Folk/Alternative Songs for 9 weeks (the most of any song by a female ever) and lands at #2 on my year-end Folk/Alternative Songs list. 16. "Maps" - Maroon 5Peak: #1 (2 weeks)Weeks On Chart: 21Q1: - Q2: - Q3: 3 Q4: 19This was the band's big comeback single and I was not disappointed when I heard it. I like all the elements of this song (especially the "following the map that leads to you" and "oh I was there for you oh in your darkest time" bits) and I can relate to it because I, too, have come in contact with females that treated me bad yet for some reason I was still attached to them :/ anyway, I instantly became obsessed with it and it jumped 15-1 in its second week on the chart - at that point setting the record for the highest ever jump to #1 (multiple songs has jumped 14-1 prior to that). It became the band's 4th #1 on my chart. They have yet to fail to reach my top 10 with an official single. "Maps" was their 4th song to spend 20+ weeks on my chart (the other three were the same three that reached #1). Obviously this helped the song to be this high on my year-end chart. It spent 7 weeks in my top five and 15 weeks in my top ten which is quite impressive for a song that only spent 21 weeks in total on the chart!

15. "Animals" - Maroon 5Peak: #1 (5 weeks) Weeks On Chart (2014): 10 Q1: - Q2: - Q3: - Q4: 1 This was the band's 5th #1 on my chart which tied them with Eminem for the most #1's on my chart officially of any artist. This is another song I regret not starting to listen to sooner. It only debuted on my chart in October and thus got only 10 weeks in 2014. However, these were 10 obviously very big weeks (it debuted at #8 and was in the top 5 for the rest of the year). It was my #1 song of Q4. This has easily been my favorite song from the album. I am not ashamed to admit that I am a big fan of the band even now when their songs aren't as impressive as in the Overexposed and pre-Overexposed era (2011-2012). This song has peaked at #5 for two weeks in 2015 and will likely appear on the 2015 year-end countdown. 14. "Don't" - Ed SheeranPeak: #3Weeks On Chart: 18 Q1: - Q2: - Q3: - Q4: 3Eddy Ed is back! This song just missed my top 25 of Q3. This was easily my favorite song of Ed's thus far. Such a funk catchy and relatable song! I could really relate to the lyrics a lot. And of course Ed slew the vocals in this one! Even though this song debuted a bit late, it had immense longevity, spending 16 straight weeks in the top 10 (including 2 after the cutoff date for this year-end chart). The song spent 10 weeks atop R&B Songs and lands at #6 on my year-end R&B Songs list.
13. "Not A Bad Thing" - Justin Timberlake
Peak: #1 (1 week) Weeks On Chart: 20 Q1: - Q2: 3 Q3: 24 Q4: - A great comeback single from Justin! I loved it from the first listen! A very powerful melancholy tune with uplifting lyrics and excellent singing. This song jumped 14-2 in its second week on my chart and then rose to #1 the following week April 10th becoming his third chart topper. It gathered significant amounts of points during its prime and spent 11 weeks in the top ten. Please bestow more of this fire on us, Justin! The song spent just one week atop R&B Songs but lands at #5 on the year-end R&B Songs chart. 12. "Rather Be" - Clean Bandit ft. Jess GlynnePeak: #2 (2 weeks)Weeks On Chart: 32Q1: - Q2: 15 Q3: 15 Q4: 9Longevity was the key in this song's successful chart performance! I first started is tending to it in April and it had debuted in my top ten the week of April 17th at #8 and stayed there the next week before falling out of my top ten. It then went on to spend some time in the bottom half of the chart until it fell out and then re-entered, then fell out again after 15 total weeks and going recurrent as per my rule. However, given that radio had started to FINALLY pick up this song, I started listening to it a lot more and it re-entered and went on to become the longest ever climb to the top five and the longest climb to the top two, reaching the top five in its 19th week on the chart and reaching #2 in its 21st week on the chart. Sadly, that was as high as it would go and it just failed to get the #1 it deserved. But the good thing is that it had the longevity to make it to #12 on my year-end chart. Despite its apparent chart longevity, it spent just 11 weeks in the top ten. I enjoyed the song a lot and really liked the EDM components as well as the vocals from Jess. I wish "Real Love" would also slay in Canada and the USA :( anyway, hopefully we will see more of Clean Bandit in the future! The song spent 7 weeks atop Dance/Electronic Songs and is my year-end #1 Dance/Electronic song of 2014!11. "Talk Dirty" - Jason Derulo ft. 2 ChainzPeak: #2 (3 weeks)Weeks On Chart: 21Q1: 7 Q2: 9 Q3: - Q4: -This was Jason's biggest hit in years and 2 Chainz's biggest ever! It was such an earworm to me and I absolutely LOVED the beat and the sax part. The lyrics...not so much but the rest made it too difficult for me not to enjoy the song so I did enjoy the song very much! It looked like a sure number one until something came along and caused it to peak at #2 :/ it was at that point the record for the most weeks at #2 for a song without reaching #1. And it's probably the closest Jason will ever get to #1 (2 Chainz however did get a #1 as a featured act on Kanye West's "Mercy" in July 2012 - 2 Chainz's first chart entry!). Maybe l'll be wrong and Jason surprises us? The song lands at #4 on my year-end R&B Songs chart (despite not topping that list for even a single week!).

Also forgot to mention that "Animals" was tied for the second-longest reign on my chart in 2014 with 5 weeks total at #1 in October and November.
