In other news, I very briefly reviewed all of their 7 charting singles on Alt here.

One bad week for KONGOS would mean one more week for First on Billboard, as KONGOS edged these guys by 5 spins. Bishop is 14 spins behind this.

This will definitely be out on MB on Sunday (since the gap between this and Bishop and this and KONGOS are both over 100 spins). It's just Billboard that I'm concerned.

Even if Billboard conspires to keep it one more week, I won't consider it a tie. It'll always be Rise Against and Rise Against only.

One bad week for KONGOS would mean one more week for First on Billboard, as KONGOS edged these guys by 5 spins. Bishop is 14 spins behind this. "Take It From Me"'s bullet right now is really weak and it got a negative update today, so I could actually see it staying one more week on BB.

Fair enough, but you have to take into consideration that TIFM is only 9 weeks old and is still a current single (it's probably not going to pull an 'Entertainment'/'Gotta Get It Right'), and the difference between this song's bullets on BB and MB is still above 100 (42 vs. -115 for MB and 52 vs. -58 for BB). I somehow see First losing more spins in the coming days since stations will probably convert the spins from this song to the new Bastille and 21p songs. As long as First loses more spins and TIFM remains afloat, this will be out on Tuesday morning.

Billboard's panel is rigged, because this song is 64.5 FUCKING WEEKS OLD.

Billboard's panel is rigged, because this song is 64.5 f**king WEEKS OLD. It IS rigged. Besides this situtation, they have 271 spins for the new Radiohead song, which is more than that of Mediabase on their Monday update! (since I believe Billboard ends their tracking week on Sunday instead of Saturday) Anyway, I'll update this post everyday until Monday, on whether KONGOS can stay afloat of this on Billboard, using Mediabase data. Tuesday: TIFM +7, F -13 (net gap widens by 20) Wednesday: TIFM -6, F -1 (net gap closed to 15) Thursday: TIFM -4, F -11 (net gap widens to 22) Friday: Both songs +9 (no net dif) Saturday: TIFM +5, F-5 (net gap widens to 32) Sunday: TIFM -1, F -8 (net gap widens to 39) Monday: Both songs gain 13 spins KONGOS still gets the edge for now, but we'll see in the coming weeks whether they can stay ahead or let this re-pass them on Billboard, which I'll reserve my rant for now, because that would be f*cking ridiculous. EDIT: Billboard has this WRMR station on their panel which is not on MB's panel. Could this be why? AND THEY'RE PLAYING THIS MOTHERF UCKER

If this goes to a positive bullet, does it stick around?

If this goes to a positive bullet, does it stick around? No. Renegades had a positive bullet when it was sent recurrent on MB.

R R COLD WAR KIDS First 1547 1591 -44 9.748 And there it is. After 64 weeks, this is finally in recurrent-land. It also gained 3 spins in the official update as opposed to today's earlier one.

^ panel change.
The bigger question is will Billboard sent it recurrent on Tuesday?
I have KONGOS 20 spins ahead of this, but that's excluding WRMR and maybe some spins here and there from some stations.

Billboard is more corrupt, so all we can do; is cross our fingers, but I'm glad I won't be seeing "First"; anymore, when I open up, the mediabase Alt charts. Good riddance.

64 weeks is official for First. It is impossible for it to get 65.

Billboard sent this recurrent today.
Which means....

Additionally, Stressed Out was also sent recurrent on Billboard meaning that y'all are free to rejoice at the fact that no song on Billboard's chart has been there for more than 24 weeks.

This is First's Mediabase chart run as a current. This includes the time it spent in the #41-#50 range. Series 1 is the song's spins, Series 2 is the song's chart position

The king has been slayed! It's probably just a matter of time before he have another song on the charts overstaying its welcome, but until then I can be happy since Stressed Out is gone and Savior's record is still in place.
By the way, where is First on the all time alternative rankings in terms of chart performance? It's gotta be pretty high up right?

I'm still curious to know how they follow this up. I can see this getting tons of recurrent play until the fall months (like September), so maybe push the lead single to the next album next?
I think it'd be dumb of them to send anything from Hold My Home at this point. It might be another slow riser like this was, and potentially kill their next era.

They're going to re-record this for their next album and release that as the first single.

now that its over, I can say I would've been happier if this just stopped at like, 7 or something, so they still have a breakout hit but there's still room for growth
now it's only downhill

I wouldn't mind not having to know anything; about new material ,or new songs; from this band ,for the rest of 2016. Not even a soundtrack song.

The gap was very close again on Billboard, as KONGOS edged these guys by 8 spins, making this go recurrent as Bishop Briggs passed this. First actually gained 18 spins on Billboard, but KONGOS gained 21 spins to prevent it from re-passing it. Talk about a close shave.
My estimates weren't too far off either, as I had 1334 spins for KONGOS (vs. 1345) and 1308 for First (vs. 1337)
With new singles from Bastille and twenty one pilots rising up fast and KONGOS picking up again after having a relatively bad week last week, this pulling an "Uprising" will be unlikely.

Hope necroing isn't against board policy.
This definitely had a crazy long run. It just had a more contentious final week than that of "Savior", which had 1100-1200 spins in its last two weeks (pulled from Wayback Machine).
