For me TPOG is easily her best ballad, and one of her best songs period. Love it. The video was stunning too Ah yes, she looked so stunning in it. I really do wish she had kept that Frozen/TPOG look longer than the ROL era or at least resurrected it for awhile. It is definitely her best look since she's gotten older for me. It made her look so sophisticated and comfortable in her age and skin. Although I get why it's not the best look for her dancey club ready singles.

Mediabase Quick Cut Info - March 21, 2015 MADONNA - Ghosttown: 6.141 million audience impressions (+0.687)
Adds this week will be critical for "Ghosttown" to maintain its upward trajectory. Will Cumulus or CBS stations start to join iHeart in Madonna's Ghosttown? Why are there still no add dates for any formats?!

As a woman gets older, dark hair tends to make her look a bit older and harsher. Notice Madonna has not been brunette since 2003? She is aware that the blond is probably a bit more flattering as she ages. Though I think she is a bit too brassy in color these days.
On another note, Ghosttown was played again on WLTW in NYC.

I guess we'll see shortly if this was the exact same 1-week deal as LFL had. Even though it didn't lead anywhere, that deal made more sense to me since it coincided with the video and the Grammys. This seems premature for Ghosttown unless they're planning on continuing to pay for airplay for awhile?
(And yes they are definitely paying... there's no way this song is just randomly getting picked up.)

Not one of my favorites on Rebel Heart, but I still love this. I think it was a good single choice. I'm glad that it's getting some airplay already.

In fact no. Platinum blonde is the worst colour (unless it's natural). Platinum blonde and red lips are for youngers. Brown hair (maybe light brown) it's the best for a certain age

Mediabase Quick Cut Info - March 22, 2015 MADONNA - Ghosttown: 6.907 million audience impressions (+0.766)
One new HotAC station started spinning yesterday, and at least one new non-iHeart AC station is on board this morning. Still watching spins come in, but preliminarily it appears many stations are continuing to spin one week after the "initiative" began.

16 adds at AC this week but 14 are auto-adds from iHeart stations - only 2 are truly new (non-iHeart) stations
9 adds at HotAC this week all 9 are iHeart stations and are already spinning
Unless stations add throughout the week (or pop comes through tomorrow), I expect the growth to level off fairly quickly by the end of the week. I don't understand the label's strategy - they seem to think one week of airplay will just magically make the song happen, and they don't need to do any other work.

so was there an initiative? I am just wondering if we are speculating or if we know for sure? We now have it confirmed that there was an airplay initiative by iHeartRadio for the AC and HAC formats: via Billboard

This really really really should have released this as the lead single. The only true hit on the album and I'm afraid now it may be too late...between the mega-leak and choosing 100% the WRONG lead single (I want to see those Madonna stans on here who told me it was the best choice for a lead) they've made her best album in years be the first true complete BOMB of her career. A shame.

Some positives after a day of quite a bit of spin watching: Most of the iHeart stations are still spinning. Either the initiative continues into a second week, or they now are playing "Ghosttown" voluntarily. (There will be a few stations that eventually will drop, as the song clearly does not fit on their playlists.) Miami's Y100 (pop), which had been spinning every couple of days, gave "Ghosttown" two spins today. Stations on which "Ghosttown" received its very first spin this evening: HotAC in San Francisco (I requested twice - yesterday and today ) AC in Hudson Valley (one of this afternoon's adds) HotAC in Springfield, Missouri

I think Living For Love was a perfect 1st single and this is a perfect 2nd single. I hope this can make an impact, it's a very well crafted song.

A shame. +1. I'm a fan and was one of the very, very few who after hearing LFL were like WTH is this lol. While most of her other fans *insisted it was a hit if not a smash lol. I wanted to be wrong but def. wasn't. I didn't hear a single thing about it that made it close to being 1st single (or any single material) lol. 'Maybe' it woulda been okay as a promo song or released only to the clubs. Still baffled what her team heard w/ LFL vs. GT (far as hit potential and quality of the song). Thrilled they promptly got GT out there but ANY decent manager/team would've put GT out first and pushed it extra hard (radio deals, mega promo etc..) to ensure it was hit and sold many albums its debut week. I'm just afraid someone like Madonna is at a point in her career (unlike all her much younger contemporaries) who will only get attention/ the time of day for the FIRST single. If the 1st single flops, any momentum or interest will be greatly minimized. Hoping I'm wrong cause GT is def. up there in every way with Live To Tell as one her best ballads. It's almost like a modern day LTT (the darker production, lyrics and vocals, hook etc..) and if it was the 80s, 90s or even early 00s, GT would smash..hard!

I also think that leaked demo of the title track RH was waaay superior to the finished version which sounds like album filler is barely a song lol. NO idea why they zapped the other version which sounded complete 'enough' (could've used a little tweaking and really made it epic) but as it was, sounded fab., instant and *everyone was loving it. Like GT, had that classic, trademark LAP era sounding Madonna song. Dunno if due to her being pissed she ditched it as punishment to her fans lol or if there's a slim chance that the demo (or even a superior more tweaked up version) is being worked on and released to radio as single #3 (I know, I know, highly unlikely/ very wishful thinking) but many singers release a remix to radio and as a single while keeping the inferior album version just on the album. Like I said earlier, the leaks and LFL I feel really botched this era. ALL comes down to GT. :/

She made some reference to being pressured to change up some of the demos, even though she liked them better, in order to give something fresh with the album release. She didn't say which song, but RH may have been one of them. I agree with you in that liked the demo better.

Only one of Adam Lambert's last seven singles has charted on the Hot 100, at 76. #Notathreat. Isn't that just about the same for M's last seven singles, too? Not quite. And Madonna isn't flopping while still within the first 5 years of her career and after only being semi-relevant with her first album. That was his point.
