Hope the radio initiative continues throug her iiheart performance and hopefully by then there will be an adds date for Pop. Ghosttown has the potential and deserves to at least be a modest hit.

One add at pop this week - an auto-add from WKCI New Haven, which was already spinning.

On LFL vs Gt as first single... I don't know when was the last time a debut BALLAD single was a comeback hit for anyone. If anything, maybe BIM would've been more successful given greater download interest in that song. I think Gt is the best quality song she's released as single since HU, don't get me wrong. However I also think the problem with LFL was not the song itself but the early release, with no label action or promo to quickly follow that up, ie a botched release. From another perspective, I think that LFL was not representative of the album, especially after RH was reworked (vs the demo) and relegated to SD bonus status. The album is much more mid/downtempo so Gt could've been a good representative of the album. Similarly, I think that if Gt had had the same botched release 'strategy' it would've been as floppy as LFL.

lol adam lambert's new single is also called "ghosttown" #messy Only one of Adam Lambert's last seven singles has charted on the Hot 100, at 76. #Notathreat. To be fair, four of those seven singles weren't even released in the US. So only his last two singles in the US didn't chart. Which is actually better than Madonna, who's last three didn't chart. I honestly doubt either will do much at all, but Adam's will be a lead single, so I don't think Madonna's outperforming his is set in stone. ETA: oh, pnobelysk already said this, my bad.

The Video for this great song is gonna be dark. Madonna posted a pic on Instagram and its just a hint but it looks dark like "Die Another Day" and "Frozen" and I am so here for that. I hope its epic :)

Only one of Adam Lambert's last seven singles has charted on the Hot 100, at 76. #Notathreat. Also all this did was glance at Wikipedia . Of the 7 singles being referred to 2 were US singles And the fact that his old label didn't support him at all has a lot to do with that. He is in a new label, he has a devoted fanbase, if the song is good and the new label do its job he will get a sizable hit, because even the pop chart is way more diverse now (in all senses of the word) than it was the last time he released a song to radio

I really like this song...the chorus has been stuck in my head all week....no clue as to what its prospects at radio are...No need to slag on Lambert....his song isn't even dropping for another month and may not go to radio for another week or two thereafter...I don't think that either Ghost Town/Ghostown will effect the other -- different artists, different sounds, different timing...Lambert's team is trying to recover from a botched sophomore era; new label, back with Max/Shellback who he had his prior hot 100 hits with....they will be working hard for a hit and the clip sounds good....but back to Madge -- this is a good song, sounds great on my iphone w other current songs, she is the Queen!

For me TPOG is easily her best ballad, and one of her best songs period. Love it. The video was stunning too Better than Take a Bow or I'll Remember? I don't think so.

The album is much more mid/downtempo so Gt could've been a good representative of the album. Similarly, I think that if Gt had had the same botched release 'strategy' it would've been as floppy as LFL. And that's exactly the reason why she should go with a ballad first. She has nothing to demostrate, she always was a leading artist, the problem is she recently became a follower, and that doesn't work for her. This is more an electronic ballad, but it's been a while since ballads were poison on the pop chart, in fact some of the biggest hits in recent times are ballads. I think the main difference is this song is really good and it doesn't sound like a lot of songs in the charts right now. And they are doing the correct approach making the song climb on AC and Hot AC first before releasing to pop. Now she needs to release a good video, and make the song climb on itunes, and maybe she get that hit, maybe not an smash hit but at least a pretty decent one

I hope this becomes an AC smash. If M's ballads are AC hits and her uptempos continue to be Dance hits, then she won't have to worry so much about losing CHR.

It's just mind boggling how a legend like Madonna is struggling to get airplay on the radio.

It's just mind boggling how a legend like Madonna is struggling to get airplay on the radio. It happens to everyone...what other legends of her age are getting radio play? no one, male or female (ok except Paul McCartney but that's a totally different ball of wax -- his solo stuff doesn't get played on the radio)...I'm not even sure the issue is age so much as at radio you are ultimately punished by longevity -- pop radio wants new new new -- new faces, new sounds...no matter how great or creative the music is, or how much of a legend you are, if you've been on the scene for 20-30 years you are no longer seen as new and fresh...but screw radio...the ultimate benefit of longevity is that your music has proven to stand the test of time, and you have a body of work that can support touring in large venues will into your 70s...that's where the $$ is made

One new AC station yesterday, but the song also lost a HotAC. Hopefully Ghosttown will maintain stability until new stations possibly come on board next week, but there could be some nerve-wracking updates in the meantime.

I really don't think personal opinions on music can be argued. Music and art is not something concrete like science or mathematics. What one person thinks is a beautiful song, others may find to be lacking. I personally love Power of Goodbye and I'll Remember and Ghosttown, but was never really a fan of ballads like Take a Bow and Live to Tell. Does that make me wrong? Not in the least. There are folks here who LOVE Unapologetic Bitch and Bitch, I'm Madonna. For me, those are songs I constantly skip when I listen to RH. Just not a fan.
So love what you love and let it bring you joy :)

She will be performing this on Sunday NBC iiheart awards. This has to be an epic performance with buzz factor. Climbing on iTunes is a must.

On today's Airplay chart it doesn't look good,folks 3/26/2015
She has officially stalled on both charts!
At 'AC' Airplay Chart she is No.18 again with only +1 spin-(even though 1 station has come onboard)
At 'HOTAC' she is yet again No. 42 with +4 spins
This is looking like the beginning of the end

8-day rolling effect. It's steady for now, while LFL started to tank and never recovered.

So,hopefully this will recover by the weekend and continue to grow! The number of 'AC" stations spinning keeps going up albeit 1 by 1. I guess there is some glimmer of hope! Also: Right now there is only 1 Non-iHeart Radio playing the song! : :) I wish they would set that 'add' date for this Monday after the performance for 'AC' / 'HOTAC' Before the song goes negative! It's Top20 'AC' & About to crack the Top40 @ 'HOTAC' Now is the time!

Another new AC station yesterday, but another loss of a HotAC. Pop comes through to save the overall gain - despite minor spin gains, both AC and HotAC experienced audience loss compared to Wednesday of last week.

Seems to be hanging on by a hair. And that's a good thing for a Madoona song after the initiative rolling effect. Where the hell is the adds date? Let's see what her team has up their sleeve after her performance at iiheart and the video about to pounce.

On Today's Airplay Chart it looks good especially at 'AC' Madonna's 'Ghosttown' is as follows: 3/27/2015 No. 18 On Today's 'AC' Airplay Chart (+12 spin increase) No. 42 On Today's 'HotAC' Airplay Chart (again +1 spin increase) The Number of stations @ 'AC' continues to grow,to a total of 41 as of yesterday,Thursday! with 3 Non-iHeart Radio and one appears to be a CBS station.that has started. Over @ 'HOTAC' everythings remains the same. Stability is good,I think! :) UPDATE: My Home Boston KISS108 gave 'Ghosttown' it's usual daily spin this morning @ 10:25 am
