I need this to really happen. I have sucked every emotion out of every single Shania song dry.
After reading her autobiography, From This Moment On, I was told to watch her Why Not? OWN series as it is an excellent compliment to the book.
I watched the first four episodes and it's wonderful. I'm falling in love with Shania all over again. I love how genuine, beautiful, and honest she is and how totally removed from the Hollywood / Fame / Social media culture she is. She's my celebrity hero.

It looks like Shania has signed a new Management deal with Maverick (Rascal Flatts, Jason Aldean, Madonna, Paul McCartney). Most likely, new management is going to want some sort of product from their artists, especially new. When Shania originally signed with Jason Owen's Sandbox Entertainment in 2010, she released her autobiography, launched the Why Not with Shania Twain docu-series on OWN, and announced her Vegas residency all within the first nine months. Then of course that went on for two years and then she went out on the road. It seems like new music is truly on the horizon.

Faith Hill signed a management deal with Sandbox Entertainment in 2014, so new music doesn't necessarily have to mean it's on the horizon with Shania's new management deal but I have been following the news/pics from her supposed album process and it may be a sign their ready to move forward with a single in 2017 at the latest. {Spoiler} I snicker at myself every time I say anything regarding new music coming soon from Shania...

She should release this me single in Mid-late September and drop the album the first week in November.

Adele and Beyoncé already released, so Shania could shoot for Black Friday.

Oh my god I need to not have an emotional breakdown later this month. I have a lot going on and my soul can't handle it all.

I would be spitting out rainbows if that was true but I'm not buying it until I see something I'm more familiar with (trust more) than that.

The rumor is her birthday, which is a Sunday, so the single would be out for the start of the week.
Also, Shania went to a twentyonepilots concert in Nashville, per her Instagram. That would suggest to me that she is doing her final recordings in Nashville. If the album is to drop this year, she's running out of time, unless she's recording and doing photo shoots at the same time. I'm not 100% sure on the turn around from recording, to mixing, to pressing, but I do know it takes more than a month... But it's hard to tell how much material she's already recorded and what work needs to be finished.

Shania turned 51 yesterday, so I guess she didn't reach her goal of putting out a new single while she was 50. I feel like we HAVE to get some sort of announcement soon.

Especially since the label made note of her being back in the studio, I feel an announcement is due soon.

Oh I'm so buying her albums on vinyl!
And I'm hoping she'll have her new album out by the end of this decade.

I was listening to Carrie's song "Who Are You" today and wished Shania was singing it. That would have been a comeback hit single for her for sure.

I was talking with a radio friend and he couldn't tell me much, but while discussing Shania he said: "2017 will be much less quiet." I am not sure what that entails, but it's exciting.

Is there any chance that Shania will bring in Mutt to write or co-write with her a couple of hit singles? I'm afraid the album might flop without his input.

When discussing him last year in an interview (about the time album news started circulating) she said she was still mad about the divorce. I can't begin to imagine her setting aside her personal feelings for the new album. She has already chosen several other big name and current producers in place of him.

Skip ahead to 16:00 and Shania is interviewed on the red carpet at the 2016 Billboard Women in Music event. Nick Jonas presented Shania with the honor. It will air Monday on Lifetime. In the video, she talks briefly about what fans can expect. She doesn't mention a release date. In the Billboard interview, she says she has made it through the album, and hopes to have it done. However, both Jake Gossling and Matthew Koma were cited using Shania in the past tense, like their work is finished. So...maybe the album is closer than we think. She's returned to more of her natural hair color too. ant you may appreciate this as much as I do. Haha. (YAY!)

radio.com/2016/12/21/shania-twain-talks-new-album/Speaking with EW, Twain promised next spring will bring a new album. “I’m so overdue!” she said. “I feel like I just need to keep making albums now.” During her album gap, Twain kept busy with a two-year Las Vegas residency beginning in 2012 and followed that up with the Rock This Country tour in 2015. Through it all, though, she kept recording song ideas, which she eventually began fleshing out with four different producers. Her new music marks a personal and professional shift from how she’s worked in the past. Twain’s ex-husband Mutt Lange produced her 1997 big hit album Come On Over as well as Up!, but wasn’t involved in her latest. Twain admitted she carried more creatively as a result. “By the end [of the recording process], I felt like I had climbed a huge mountain and was standing on top of it, looking God in the eye, and saying, ‘I’m here! What do I gotta do next?'” she said.
