The album is coming out on July 6. 'Scheduled for the seventh third quarter moon' stands for that date, which is expected to be the release date of the album.

They released a new song If You're Over Me and honestly I can't tell whether I'm over them or not.

So... "If You're Over Me" is their next single and it will be pushed as the lead single in the US too. I wish it would have been "Sanctify" to be honest.

0/2 for me as well. Where is all the adventure?? I feel for as imaginative Olly is, he wouldnt want to release this same samey drivel. These songs are basic and stagnant. I wish they would have hooked up with some one totally left field to produce this album.

This track is better than the first they released but it's kinda puerile and not a great direction

Sanctify is growing on me a bit but it still doesn't have the mood that much of the first album had. I liked the vulnerability and self-destructive nature of the first album. Though I get you can't really hold on to that for too long. I still hope this album has something interesting for me to latch on to. I haven't heard this new new song yet.

So this still isn't anything near their first album, but I love "If You're Over Me"! such a nice breezy gay jam

Palo Santo is my fave track they've released thus far. So happy I enjoy it.

All For You releases tomorrow with Beats 1
Are they pulling a Shawn and releasing unnecessary tracks before the album release? I'll expect one next week a few days before the album as well lol.
They've performed this live already with "Rendezvous" and "Hallelujah" and I think all of them would've been better choices for singles, but I really like everything released so far. 3/3 for me of Sanctify, If You're Over Me, and Palo Santo.

"All For You" is their best song in a while, makes me more hopeful for the album.
1. All For You (9/10)
2. Palo Santo (7/10) 3. If You're Over Me (6.5/10)
4. Sanctify (1/10)

I listened to all the previews and I'm already addicted to "Karma", "Hallelujah" and "Lucky Escape" sounds quite interesting. Definitely need to hear them in full though.
Idk bout yall but I personally like Sanctify???

Sanctify has grown on me a lot. Still pales to much of the first album but it also kinds of fits. I think the beat is too simple though. The backing music of all the first album was so sexy and erotic. Sanctity *kiiiind* of has that but not really.

Recent interview on the album: pressplayok.com/albums/review-years-years-palo-santo/"Concept albums have always been a tricky one. They require the listener to invest in the conviction an artist has, buying into their world and accepting their worldview as if it were plainer than something anchored in a more tangible universe. It’s no surprise given the uneven singles that Years & Years have us on the backfoot entering Palo Santo, a realm of their own making. But they shoulder that weight in a way that’s both astonishing and remarkable, a collection that’s rich in melody and without doubt a step up from their debut. It’s an album that relentlessly shows off moments of pop brilliance. Sanctify kicks things off with peals of drama, giving way to a moment that could be a defining one for Years & Years: the aptly titled Hallelujah. If their career were anywhere near a pit this would be Hail Mary of gigantic proportion, a proper pop banger in an age where those feel hard to come by. From then on it’s entirely a tour of how modern pop can be done well. From the Scandalous-inspired Karma to the aching title track, Olly Alexander posits himself as a frontman that can bring weight to a genre that’s often perceived as shallow while at the same time beckoning us to the dancefloor. More to the point, Years & Years deliver a quintessentially queer album, one in which gender and sexuality are fluid and but a byline for the emotion they inspire. “Do I look good in this position, just like him?” asks Alexander, tearing down walls of shame and intimacy while exposing an acute but welcome vulnerability. It’s hard to imagine any other male artist having the ability to balance this variety of emotion while having something very real to impart, even in a make-believe world. If there’s a heaviness to Hypnotised, there’s the glorious woo-hoo chorus of Preacher; if there’s a playful cadence in the chorus of Rendezvous, there’s the goosebump pain of the interlude Here. It’s also a rare feat for an album to make us wish that every bonus track were part of the full package, but that’s what Years & Years do on a stellar second album. Not only is every song here worth savouring, but thanks to some canny collaborations Palo Santo becomes an open-arms world that we want to return to time and time again." The album was given a 4/5

They've let me down this era. I don't know exactly what it is. The music sounds dated, Olly seems VERY "me, me, me" and the roll out has been messy.

This is definitely my favorite album of the year so far. There's not a single track that I dislike. Personal favorites are "Rendezvous", "Preacher", "Karma", and "Don't Panic". Their lyrics for every track are so well written, the sounds are all so similar but all so different and I love it so much. Almost every song is a complete BOP.
"Don't Panic" is probably the most different thing they've done. It sounds like pure pop perfection to me.

This album is the sound of a gay coming of age at the turn of the Millennium. Much better than I thought it would be based on the singles.

There were MUCH better single choices than what they chose. And not because they're my favorites, but they generally sound well suited for radio, I think "Rendezvous", "Preacher" or "Karma" are the best choices.

It's really odd the songs they decided to release early because, save for All For You, I love all the other album tracks way more. Hallelujah, Rendevouz, Preacher, Don't Panic, Lucky Escape, Howl, Up In Flames are all A++. Hypnotized and Here are good but not my cup of tea (I prefer midtempo and uptempo Y&Y tracks).
