This song is already in the top 70 on iTunes All-Genre chart, and I still haven't even heard it on the radio yet. This looks like it could be the biggest hit off the Bringing Back The Sunshine album for Blake. Best part is I only expect this to pick up more once summer is near.

I was gonna make a comment about Sangria's strong iTunes showing, but you beat me to it! I've been hearing this a lot on the radio already and it sounds so good. Both stations in Phoenix jumped on this one as soon as it was sent out to radio.

It's hard to gauge how often I heard his past few songs on the radio during the first 2-3 weeks of their chart run but that's definitely more than "Lonely Tonight" or even "Neon Light".

This one is doing really well on iTunes. It's up to #27 on the all-genre chart, and #4 on the country chart, trailing only LBT, Sam, and ZBB. From the first time I heard Bringing Back The Sunshine, I really thought "Sangria" would be a big hit, so I'm glad to see that that 'hunch' might prove to be correct. This is one of my favorite Blake singles of all time and it sounds so great on the radio--I've been hearing it on both Phoenix stations quite a bit...I even heard it 3 times here the very day it was sent to radio.

This is a cover that appears on a movie soundtrack. I don't have much information as I wasn't even aware that he was covering a song for a movie.

O.K. Blake Shelton, you blew by Carrie Underwood and Easton Corbin. Now, get that one week #1 so Underwood can knock you off the top. No repeat like 2013 was.

At this point, I'd be shocked if Blake settled for 1 week only at #1. This is a HUGE hit, and I think 2 weeks at #1 is a strong possibility. I definitely think they will let this one linger in the top for a while so they can maximize the sales for this one.

Little toy guns is horrible in my opinion and not deserving of being number 1 Considering everyone goes #1 on today's country radio, I don't put much credence into what songs are "deserving" to be a #1 in the matter of opinion, of what songs I think are horrible or good. I don't think "Little Toy Guns" is undeserving because of your own personal opinion. I use "deserving" in regards to a song hitting #1 by its chart run. If I thought it was by personal opinion, then "Get Me Some Of That" or "Take Your Time" wouldn't have come anywhere near #1.

Hey sabre your a chart guy how is the whole Kelsea Carrie Easton Blake thing looking. This is the ugliest thing I think I've ever seen for the charts. Kelsea has gained 366 spins/2.3 million audience, Blake has gained 295 spins/1.5 million audience, Carrie has gained 294 spins/2.4 million audience and Easton has gained 346 spins/1.9 million audience, so far this week. Not much has changed since Sunday really. Blake's still ahead on Billboard as we speak and Kelsea is still in the lead on MB. I'm positive Blake and Kelsea hit #1 on both charts. I know "Sangria" is ahead still on Billboard but Kelsea's song is just having monster gains and is selling great. Carrie has a great update today, gaining over 900k in audience and perhaps Arista will not try and wait this out and attempt the #1 position on at least MB before they might think it's too late. The tactic of waiting it out might prove too risky, though trying a massive push ahead of Kelsea would be risky as well. Easton looks to be the most likely one to be left out in the cold, with a MB only #1 being the only possibility (which jhomes87 pointed out before in the "Little Toy Guns" thread). We still need to wait for FGL to be #1 on both charts this upcoming Sunday and Monday (June 6th and 7th), then Kenny. "Sangria" will go #1 on both charts though, so nobody who is a fan of this song has much to worry about, lol.

Easton looks to be the most likely one to be left out in the cold, with a MB only #1 being the only possibility (which jhomes87 pointed out before in the "Little Toy Guns" thread). I don't think Carrie would need a massive push to go up ahead of Kelsea. They're neck and neck on Mediabase right now, with both songs gaining strong. And actually, they've flip-flopped positions a couple times in the last few days. On 05/30, Kelsea bounded 7-5, with Easton falling 5-7, and Carrie holding at #6. Then in yesterday's update, Carrie pushed up to #5 with Kelsea getting knocked back to #6. And today it was Kelsea moving back to #5, with Carrie slipping back to #6 again, and this is because Kelsea had a bigger spin gain (+172 spins) than Carrie did. Carrie still gained 54 spins herself, and she actually out-gained Kelsea in audience today (+0.921 mil vs. +0.824 mil). Both songs are on fire, as are Easton and Blake, but Carrie has got to be neck and neck with Kelsea on MB right now, and LTG was still about 800k ahead of Kelsea on Monday's Billboard chart. It's interesting that the 4 songs' Billboard position is reverse of what it is on MB right now; on Billboard, it goes Blake (5), Easton (6), Carrie (7), Kelsea (8), and on MB it's Kelsea (5), Carrie (6), Easton (7), and Blake (8). They're all so close. Anyway, I agree with dm2081 in that "Sangria" seems a likely candidate to spend 2+ weeks at #1 (on one or maybe even both charts). This is selling a ton of copies per week and it's still such a young song, so I think the label will want to keep this in maximum rotation as long as they can in order to maximize those sales. And even after this has peaked, I imagine it'll fall rather slowly, kinda like what we saw with "Homegrown" and "Take Your Time". Those 2 songs got to #1 pretty quickly and still had very low burn-rates, and we're seeing that unfold with "Sangria" right now. The other 3 songs--particularly Easton's--have higher burn-rates, however, although the burn-rate isn't alarmingly high or anything like that, and thus it probably won't be a factor as to whether Carrie and Kelsea get to #1 or not. It could come into play for Easton, though. Definitely the most intense top 10 brawl we've seen in a while, although we did see some intense competition when songs like "Homegrown", "Take Your Time", "Lonely Eyes", "Drinking Class", and "Say You Do" were peaking. This is a bit different, though, because the 4 songs are still a few weeks from #1 yet, but they're all putting up huge numbers at the same time. Edit: Just re-read your post, sabre14, and I realize you probably meant a Carrie push "before Kelsea", and not a push "to get ahead of" Kelsea. Personally, if I were Warner Bros, I'd let the older songs battle it out and keep "Sangria" in the steady 300-500k daily gain range...that way they could extend its chart life by a couple of weeks, which will keep airplay maximized longer, and will thus maximize sales. I realize that "Sangria" is basically just screaming up the chart on its own, but it might not be a bad idea for Warner Bros. to say (to radio) "hey guys, why the rush? Let's hang on until July, that way you guys can maximize spins for Carrie, Kelsea, and Easton, and then we'll be ready to take over after that".

Well now that this is top 5, it makes sense to start thinking about single #4. I'd personally like to see "Bringing Back The Sunshine" next, as it would sound great on the radio and perfect for end of summer road trips and general driving around. I also think it would be a nice change of pace from the first 3 singles, and variety is usually a good thing. I imagine most on here will want "Just South of Heaven", but I don't find that one to be anything special. It's not bad, but I'd prefer something with a little more tempo.

"Just South of Heaven" is definitely my first pick. It is my favorite song on the record and I think it'd be a great single to keep up the trend he has going with releasing stronger material this era. I'd accept almost anything from the album though, because aside from "Buzzin'", everything on it is honestly pretty good. The title track and "Gonna" would be nice alternatives if they wanna go with something more uptempo next since it'll be following two more mid-tempo ballads.

I'd like the title track to be next. "Buzzin'" is the only song I don't really like on the album, so I hope it's not that one, but I think it's probably between those two songs.

My next favorites are "Bringing Back the Sunshine" and "Just Gettin' Started". Both would be a nice complement to (hopefully) the direction radio is going in the next couple of years. If we're gonna get out of this mess, we need people like Blake Shelton to release good stuff.
I don't know if I see them doing "Just South of Heaven" because the last two singles have kind of had a slower feel to them. To end summer, I imagine they go with a hard-hitter. Which is why I wouldn't be completely surprised if it's "Buzzin'", which I don't hate nearly as much as all of you.
Speaking of that, can we get "Good Country Song" as the fifth single? What a good winter song. What a good COUNTRY song.

I'm not surprised at how well "Sangria" has done and how well it has sold (it always struck me as a big radio single), but I'm not a really a big fan of the song. It's just kinda there. The feel and production is pleasant, and Blake sounds good, but the melody doesn't do a whole lot for me. I know many here love the song so I gave it plenty of time to grow on me but it never did.
Doesn't matter one bit what I think though as "Sangria" will easily end up being one of the biggest hits of 2015, and I'd be shocked if this song doesn't receive heavy recurrent play once its chart run is over.

I really hope Blake doesn't play nice with Carrie and her label once this reaches #1. I'm sick of the revolving door at #1, and this has been a much bigger hit than Carrie's. I really hope they push for a minimum of 2 weeks, but I'm doubtful that will happen. This is easily one of my favorite Blake songs ever, right up there with "Honey Bee".

For what it's worth, I completely agree with you. I'll also add the repetitive nature of the chorus makes me want to pull my hair out. I have never gotten all the love for this song. It's pleasant. But that's about all the credit I'll give it.

But that's about all the credit I'll give it. I've been one of Blake's biggest critics lately, especially prior to Bringing Back The Sunshine, but if he keeps recording songs like this, then I'll have nothing but praise. This song has a sort of melancholy feel that really works for me, and the overall mood gives me Kenny Chesney "Somewhere With You" vibes (probably because the 2 songs share a co-writer, JT Harding). It's hard for me to describe why I like the melody and production so much--I'm not really good at picking out instruments (unless, you know, it's banjo or fiddle or something like that), but I just really enjoy the up and down notes on the guitars--and I think that's bass that's prominently featured as well. Maybe I can get an assist from Ten Pound Hammer in describing the arrangement/production of this one? All I know is that this is 2nd only to "Austin" as far as my favorite Blake Shelton singles go. I find it to be very well-written, with vivid and descriptive lyrics, and the arrangement and production couldn't sound any better to me.
