You guys are good people, seriously. Love the thread. Just sticking up for people who pan or are negative who are made to look like fools when realistically, they know what's up. You do realize you posted that Don't Wait Up by Robert DeLong would hit #1, and that 2 Heads would be competing for the #1 spot around the same time...let's see how those predictions go

and to keep the "Molecules" thread on a positive note. Great song. probobly will be my fav of the summer and should go Top 10 soon enough. AHHHHHHH, How is this going to go Top 10 with a +19 bullet? You guys drive me crazy... <IJOM> Because I'm looking ahead into the future. Just like I did with "Ship to Wreck" against all Florence Top 10 statistics and "Hallelujah" which is practically top 10. Peace.

Absolutely still believe Colemen Hell and Robert DeLong will be up there. Colemen Hell has a long way to go yet, at least on CHR and HotAC, Robert DeLong still had a song in the Top 15-20 in recurrents, has a healthy bullet of +60. We'll see what happens.

Looks like this will hit top 20 within the next few days. Currently 50 spins away with a freefalling song above it :)

Unless Robert DeLong passes this. I think both Muse and Sublime are on their way out, so there is room for two. Sublime With Rome is still 100+ spins ahead, and this song is still chugging slowly. Plus, WYG hasn't started collapsing yet, it's losing spins, but if it starts having a -100 bullet, I'd say it's officially done.

Bullet's slightly increased to 52 now
24 21 ATLAS GENIUS Molecules 754 702 52 2.091
If this avoids New Americana (which will pass this next week), it should make top 20 for the published chart this week.

I'd rather see this in the Top 20 than "New Americana".

So this went from a +19 bullet to a +50 bullet and is now top 20. Like I said I'm sticking to my guns; regardless of statistics.

Yeah, Alt stations have set rotation levels - they don't gradually increase a song's spins from week to week like pop or Hot AC stations do - so bullets shrink, or even go slightly negative, when most Alt stations are keeping a song in the same rotation - a couple weeks later, stations can start bumping the song up to the next rotation level, and the bullet grows again - I think some people that follow pop or HAC don't understand that about the Alt chart

21 21 ATLAS GENIUS Molecules 805 732 73 2.183
I can safely say that the debacle two weeks ago was just a small bump on the road, as the bullet is now up to 73. However, the problem is that the alternative charts are EXTREMELY packed right now, and it doesn't help that the free-falling need about 5 weeks to be sent recurrent. Cecilia and the Satellite also needs to go to free up space for the newcomers and other songs. Coleman Hell, Houndmouth, BORNS, The Arcs are also all fighting for their first #1s but they aren't moving fast enough. The same goes for Panic! At the Disco, WALK THE MOON and Death Cab for Cutie (though DCfC is moving considerably fast). Wherever You Go also needs to die, because Halsey, the Foos and this will pass that, and it's obvious that it will not do anything at all.
And Molecules also officially makes the top 20 on Billboard (but unfortunately, it re-passes Modest Mouse, whom I've been rooting to go top 20).

I didn't realize how packed the Alt chart was right now - everything from #33 through #10 is bulleted...

I just hope the alt chart doesn't start to resemble the Hot 100; in that good songs get shafted between #s 11-20, while the top 10 continues to dominate with old and crappier songs.

New peak of #19 as it re-passes New Americana and passes Sublime:
21 19 ATLAS GENIUS Molecules 830 754 76 2.186
Top 10 is definitely still possible

Cool lyric video for that one. I give it about the same review I gave Molecules. It's pretty good, but too generic to make me come back for more. It's alright, but I'm not blown away.

Great single. New album is excellent. Shows natural band progression. Love it when bands grow and give us something different yet familiar.
