Probably my favorite song of his, although heading in the wrong direction in terms of "growing up" from his bro influences.
Despite that (or because of it) should do perfectly fine on radio.

Good choice, although they had quite a few options IMO (Dozen Roses And A Six-Pacl, Swayin', Hey Ya'll and I Just Want You). I think this song should be able to continue his momentum, although I'm not ready to predict another #1 yet. This song is catchy as hell though, will sound great live at concerts and being played loudly in bars.

It's "Get Me Some of That" part II. I really don't see much of a difference. Bro, bro, bro. Hey girl, hey girl, hey girl. This guy is actually talented, as songs like "Ain't Worth The Whiskey" and "Dozen Roses and a Six Pack" show.

Music and vocals are passable but those lyrics... overall better than I expected but could be a lot better.

Wish they would have released "Swayin."

It's insanely catchy, but other than that, it's pretty bland, interchangeable, bro song. I think it'll do OK, but I doubt it'll leave much of a lasting impact. Gets a C/C- from me.

He shouldn't have shown us how good he could be on Ain't Worth The Whiskey. Now we expect more than another pointless bro-country Luke Bryan b-side. That said, his voice actually sounds pretty good here, and I commend his producers for going relatively soft on the production (at least for a bro song anyway). It makes the song must easier to swallow for the anti-bro crowd and I can't imagine a scenario where this didn't reach the top 10 and continue Cole's momentum (it's a 4th single, so the label would probably have to push hard for #1).

I don't know if they'll "have to push" for a #1 if radio really needs to fill their void of "new luke" songs.

This song is crap. He's not released anything as terrible as "Ready Set Roll" or "That's My Kind of Night," but he just is so middle-of-the-road and uninteresting. All of his songs are just so samey and generic. I did like "Hope You Get Lonely Tonight" somehow, but the rest of his stuff has been so bland.

I agree with you about everything except his vocals. I heard this on the Highway last night and I think his vocals sound way more nasally and tinny than usual - like borderline Tyler Hubbard bad to my ears. This will be a station changer for me.

I can't help but think with this album have gone so long, this is the last single from this era, and it's being wasted on this song when there is an absolute gem of a song, in this bro country era, in "A Dozen Roses and a Six Pack"

I actually like this for what it is- a light, fun, and catchy song. It's highly tolerable and won't be a station changer for me. It's not grating like a lot of the bro songs are. I really like "Ain't Worth The Whiskey" and "Hope You Get Lonely" grew on me some, so I feel he's capable of recording good music (even if it is borderline bro) and that he has the talent to back it up.

I have actually really enjoyed all of his singles. "Hope You Get Lonely Tonight" and "Ain't Worth the Whiskey" are clearly in another league than "Chillin' It" and this one imo, but all four of his singles I've appreciated to an extent. Somehow Cole has made his version of bro-country much more tolerable.

Really Cole? I just wish the fourth single would be something more emotional. I'm not really a fan of "Let Me See Ya Girl".

Okay, this song isn't too badly produced either. I can at least discern different instruments and an actual sense of composition on both this and "Ain't Worth the Whiskey", as opposed to the cluttered mess that was "Hope You Get Lonely Tonight". The lyrics aren't impressive, but the song is overall solid.
Those who've heard the whole album: is the production on the rest of the disc horribly muddy like it was on HYGLT?

This song will do well on radio, but also come with a lot of push back from the critics as seen in the above comments. What people don't remember is that this album is almost 15 months old, the material written much more than 15 months ago. Bro-country, if you must call it that, was in its infancy stage. When the first three singles chart as well as they did, you have to have a fourth single from the album. Coming off Ain't Worth the Whiskey, you couldn't go with Six Pack and a Dozen Roses, because they are similar slower, modern ballads. With Summer coming up, Let Me See Ya Girl was the obvious choice to close out the single period from this debut album.

I only managed to hear "Aint Worth The Whiskey" for the first time like two weeks ago as I actively try to avoid this 6' glob of vanilla. I haven't heard this and with that title , I'm seriously going to try & keep it that way.

This is a pretty uneventful song, but I'll be interested to see how it does at radio. This is definitely what they call "bro-country" and how this does on the charts may be an indication whether all the media hype about bro-country being "dead" is really true (which I personally doubt it is). Cole Swindell's in a position of momentum right now, so if this does flop for him, maybe radio really doesn't want to play this kind of music anymore, yet if a song like this could go top 5 I don't see how anyone could say bro-country is over.
Right now the chart run looks like it could go either way. This is on 44 stations on the Mediabase panel so far, while "Ain't Worth the Whiskey" was on 54 stations the day it went for adds, but there are two variables that make this case a bit different than "Ain't Worth the Whiskey." This single went for adds the day after Cole Swindell had a big win at the ACM awards, which possibly could have caused this to have a bigger first week, yet "Ain't Worth the Whiskey" was an insanely slow faller and spent fewer weeks in the top 10 on Mediabase than any #1 song has in over a year, so I think a lot of stations will still be spinning Cole's last single for a few more weeks before adding this one. Right now I'm pretty confident this will have a steady climb to the top 5 by the end of the summer.

I've already heard this countless times on The Highway (as usual for any of the songs Cole's put out so far).
My father gets another plug here (lol), but I went out for dinner with him last Saturday night since he'll be out of town for about 10 days starting this Friday and figured we could share a meal together. Anyway, we were driving my car and this song came on during the drive back. He preceded to laugh pretty hard when this song got to the chorus. He's not a fan of the same old subject as you could tell, lol.
I actually enjoy the melody in this song and his vocals are fine to me but I agree, those lyrics are just a laundry list of cliches that leave my head shaking.

I didn't want to dig up "Ain't Worth The Whiskey's" thread but in my car today, I heard another song which has pretty similar opening notes and instrumentation to "Ain't Worth The Whiskey" and I thought back to jhomes87's post about that Cole's song sounding like another in the beginning of the track, but couldn't quite get it. Is it "You Don't Know Her Like I Do" by Brantley Gilbert? :) I only thought of this because I thought for the first two or three seconds that it was "Ain't Worth The Whiskey", but then I soon realized it was Brantley's song, lol. My OCD got the best of me so I had to bring this up, lol. Anyway, carry on about "Let Me See Ya Girl". :)

Is it "You Don't Know Her Like I Do" by Brantley Gilbert? :) Nope, it's not that one. I thought maybe it was Keith Urban's "Raining On Sunday", and while that one does have some similar notes (mainly the chord progressions on the guitars), it's not the song I'm thinking of either. I just haven't been able to figure out what song "Ain't Worth The Whiskey" reminds me of...Grrrr.

;) Hey at least the link worked, which is what I thought I was getting quoted for, lol. It would be nice to have some under water animals featured in country songs.

I dont know why but I like this song. Those lyrics are jaw dropping at times. But the way Cole sings the bridge he just breaks down and truly sounds like he is having fun. In related news. This should get in the Top 25 probably next week. Unless Lady A makes the pass. That song is red hot right now. But Cole should do well.

This is definitely going to be the least remembered hit from that his debut album era for Cole. This song isn't doing poorly, but it's not lighting anything up either right now. That being said, I fully expect this to hold on for a #2 or #1 peak. It's still pretty young in it's chart life considering it's a 4th single from a new artist and this is country radio after all, where everybody hangs on until the top. I think it'll peak sometime between Halloween and Thanksgiving, Cole will take a month off, and then we will get a brand new lead single around the start of 2016.
