Radioactive lasted a record breaking 87 weeks on the Hot 100 Peaking at 3# probably if someone makes a viral video then that can help re-enter Radioactive for a least a week.

I have no idea why so many people think it's so incredibly easy to make a viral video. As if there's some shed in the wilderness where thousands of them are just waiting to be uploaded to YouTube. also why? It has the record. I love the song and everything, but 87 weeks is enough for any song on the chart.

Even if you tried, it wouldn't be allowed back on the chart. It's still on the Recurrent Songs (22-21 this week), so it still is in its *really long* initial run. Officially, in order to re-enter, a song must have passed its initial run and experienced enough sales/streams growth to get it in the top 50. The most tangential it's ever gotten is Cruise, where it was the remix that prompted a re-entry, so maybe if you get the Kendrick remix of Radioactive viral? (even then, it wouldn't work probably because it impacted the song's points already on February 15, 2014, when the song made a 33-13 move following the Grammys, primarily from the remix sales)

Didn't we just do this with the whole Uptown Funk vs Mariah thing? Yeah, I have 3 viral videos just sitting on my shelf, next to the DVD movie I plan on watching tonight. I will let you know when I post one of them.

How about we try to get "Shots" its 4th week on Hot 100 instead of getting "Radioactive" its 88th, seeing as how that's the current single from the current album and all.

No one person or even a small group of people such as those reading this thread are going to be able to successfully manipulate the nation's take on the popularity of a song as a whole.
As has been stated "viral videos" can do that but what goes viral and what does not appears to be random. Everybody here can make a video and post it online but then you have to be lucky enough that it spreads across the country so that millions of other people can see your video too. That does not happen all time.
The way people talk about the manufacture of "viral videos" is that they can just roll right off your camera and straight onto youtube with just the push of a button. The video part of this is as easy as pushing a button. The "viral"part is not

Yeah, Shots deserves more weeks on the chart instead. It's a really great song.

As much as I love Radioactive, the idea is ridiculous.

Lol. Isn't 87 a number that's insane enough?

This thread is obviously ridiculous, but fan organized manipulation of the charts is not completely without precedent. Back in 2009, a British guy who was sick of the X-Factor winner having the number one UK Christmas single every year organized a campaign to get Rage Against The Machine's decade-old "Killing In The Name Of" to number one…and it worked! Of course it was more of an anti-X-Factor movement than a pro-Rage movement but the concept still paid off. news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/8423340.stm

First of all, welcome to Pulse Music Board, clode. Second, this thread just caught my eye. Third, what would be the purpose of having a song re-enter the Hot 100 after a 1.7 year stay on the chart? Aren't you satisfied with the long chart run?

I only have two questions, Why? and why do you think make a viral video is so easy?
I loved Radioactive but i don't think there's any need of the song being back on the charts, it was on the hot 100 more than enough time and it was very successful.
And generally viral videos are not made with the intention of being viral, in fact a lot of authors of viral videos are very surprised of the success of their videos.
And frankly, i'm all for counting lyric videos, even when they are not official, but i'm against viral videos being counted. We suffer Harlem Shake just because stupid 30 seconds of dance moves (calling dance to that crap is being very generous) were counted for the chart. The song should be a decent hit (it sold very well) but never the monster hit it was due to that stupid rule
