Oh wow, I didn't realize she was on EMI. This was honestly so bad I just assumed it was on an indie. This really is ridiculous.... Yeah, as others were saying, Mike Dungan somehow decided Haley was a good one to sign to the label. I think Mike knows talent and he's got a huge roster of superstars, but this is the one dud that just leaves me scratching my head. And then to top it off, they stick her on the same label (EMI) that Alan Jackson is on... Dungan is a really savvy businessman and from what I can tell he has great relationships with all of his artists--I know he's been incredibly supportive of Keith Urban ever since Keith came to Nashville. But Haley Georgia? I just don't get what anybody sees in this girl..

There are a lot of INDIE artists that are Ten times better than this bullshit though! Just saying! This piece of crap artist doesn't even deserve a major deal. It truly shocks me that ANYONE from the Majors liked her enough to put money behind her and this song. Country Music has pretty much fallen off the deep end with this one and at this rate I'm not sure if it has a chance to come back HA

Apparently the music video is set to premiere in the next couple weeks:
I expect (fear) this will be given an add date later this summer.
EMI has really given her resources so far with the Sirius/XM debut, the music video (directed by Roman White) and the buzz I've seen in various outlets (Aircheck, Billboard, etc.). That being said, I still cannot in any way, shape or form, see this doing anything on terrestrial radio.

Ugh listening to that makes me feel ill, honestly.
This is the kind of garbage that made me leave pop radio and venture to country. Guess there's no safe place now.

After reading the comments I have to listen to this. You know how you cannot look away from a train wreck...well.
But does she remind anyone else of Raelynn? She looks like her, and that should have been the first tip off of the atrocities to come.

I don't know why and it's beyond scary to make me think that way. The OTV seems to always want to incorporate a female every few months and after Micheal Ray, Chris Janson, Thousand Horses it's time for them to put a female in. If this song does get an OTV it will be the final nail in the coffin and we will have some ditzy 18 year old blonde to thank for it.

I'm going to reserve judgment on Haley until at least her second single. I usually try to do this with new artists as I know that a lot of politics can go into a debut single, for a variety of reasons. However, when you do something this asinine, something that shows such a high level of disrespect for the music, the fans, and the genre overall, you've immediately lost all relevance to me. Music is a medium of communication and Haley Georgia has successfully communicated to me what type of person she is. Next.

Even though iHeartMedia wants listener reaction to their selections, even they can see how polarizing this song is. I know the comment sections on YouTube should always be taken with a grain of salt but the amount of dislikes to views ratio is staggering. We're not alone in thinking how horrendous this song is. This is the most disgust I've seen towards a song so early on in a long time. I still think the play on words is just too much for terrestrial radio. If they need feel the need for another female selection next go around (I unfortunately don't believe they consider that as strongly as they should), then Clare Dunn would be the most logical choice with her single set to hit radio in June.

For some reason I decided to watch that behind the scenes video and if it were at all possible, I hate this song even more now due to her personality in that video. She just seemed very arrogant, full of herself, and ungrateful that she's signed to a major label and has her debut single and video coming out. Even when she was like "I wanted to work with Roman White since I was 12," it just seemed like she was very insincere about it. She has zero likability to me.
P.S. She looks like the love-child of Alyson Michalka and Iggy Azalea.

First off, apologies for bumping this, lol.
Secondly, after seeing some news surrounding Haley and this song, it appears EMI is gunning for pure buzz and attention with this signing. Her facebook page is plugging the heck out of "#redic", and she will be performing at CMA Music Fest (should be interesting to say the least, lol), with the music video dropping later this month.
I'm confident this will not get much traction on terrestrial radio, but she might gain some popularity without it, just because of how bad this song is. This is literally the definition for "low hanging fruit" and I just can't see the people running EMI being blinded enough to not see how horrible this song is. This might be a classic case of "any news is good news" and there will most definitely be people talking about this song when it gets released.
I still don't know what exactly EMI see's as the ultimate goal with Haley on their roster but the fact she was signed in the first place is incredibly disheartening, especially with the amount of supremely talented unsigned artists in Nashville.

I only took two things away from watching that video:
(A.) I don't believe she is near as attractive as she seems to believe.
(B.) She looks like a waking STD and her very image screams "Condom awareness".

This song is RIDICULOUS. since when did iggy azalea try to make country music lmao in all seriousness this is s**t When I first saw this post, I thought it was because she looked like Iggy Azalea. But the vocals really sound like a mix of Iggy Azalea and Ke$ha, not to mention the lyrics seem to be something from a Ke$ha song. And that 'You're redic, you're redic, You're redic, you're redic, you're rediculous' line is cringe-worthy. The 'you're redic' part sounds like 'you're a d*ck' honestly.

The 'you're redic' part sounds like 'you're a d*ck' honestly. That's the point of the song. The writers seem to think it's so clever. I think it's completely asinine, juvenile, and simply one of the dumbest lyrics I've ever heard. It sounds like some spoiled and childish 16 year-old wrote it. ...maybe Haley wrote the song when she was 16. Lyrically, sonically...there's nothing country about this 'song'. The country genre has always had great breakup and heartache songs...but this is not a good breakup song or a good heartache song, and again, there's absolutely nothing about it that makes it a country song either. And so having a teenage girl call a guy a "d*ck" in her 'song' and then passing it off as country is, uh, a new low point for the "country" music industry, I'd say. Whoever gave this girl the green light to record this 'song' oughta be fired. Thank goodness this won't do anything at country radio (I can only imagine the negative callout scores it would/will get). I'd be pretty surprised if it made the top 60. Heck, I'm still not even sure if I see this getting pushed to terrestrial radio.

Well, I just listened to some of Haley's CMA Fest performance on The Highway. I only listened to about 5 minutes, so I can't speak for a lot of songs but I heard a song called "Prom Night", which was okay I guess (miles better than "Ridiculous"), but she is really bad live. I kind of knew that was going to be the case, but her vocals were really hard to listen to.
It's hard to take much away from hearing a live performance on the radio, but I wasn't impressed to say the least, lol.

Maybe The Highway is gearing up to add her to the list of their other genre-bending Highway Finds (Hunt, Rice, FGL). Unfortunately this joke gets worse every day. I was watching Tim McGraw and Billy Currington last night and the response for their real country classics was outstanding. It was legitimately relieving. A song like this would get similar response ten years down the road, right? Career defining, to say the least.

This is absolutely a terrible song. It felt like it was 9000 minutes long just trying to get through the whole thing. I'm a fan of many things that are new 'trends' but this song? Um. No. It's not even a good pop song. You know a song is bad when even rsmatto has no kind words for it. I don't think I've EVER heard him call a song "terrible". So this is what Ke$ha would sound like if she went country. I think I used my "I'm glad I don't have a gag reflex" line too soon.

Yes, If there's a song from an artist on a major country label deserving of a title of worst song ever, it'd be this song.

This is awful. Normally I am in support of females taking the risk and releasing more pop country sounding tunes , but no just no please. It's makes my ears bleed.
