According to Haley Georgia's twitter, she will be shipping out a new single soon, so EMI and UMG isn't even going to attempt a terrestrial radio release for "Ridiculous".

It's the right choice for her, EMI, and UMG if they want her to have a hit. I don't think "Ridiculous" would've done much at terrestrial radio anyway...

Looks like they're totally trying to avoid any reference to "Ridiculous" being an 'official' single anywhere.

Lol, I just looked through YouTube and her vevo channel is vacant too -- I don't even see the official audio. Unfortunately the YouTube "Topic" channel still has it up. I don't get it; the only reason you even release this song is to create buzz and pulling any and all reference of it is the opposite. They must have gotten a massive amount of negative feedback, but did EMI listen to that song? Any one of us could have told them that was going to happen.

Actually, I know there was an issue with the song somewhere on the publishing side. So that might be it.

^^an issue on the publishing side...
Like...the writers of this song were drunk and stoned when they wrote it as a prank to a significant other and when they found out it got released they sold off all their assets and built a shoddy lean-to off the grid in the mountains of Colorado?

No, usually it means there are identifiers in the song that can be traced to other songs. The chances of "Ridiculous" making any album, if she ever gets that far, will be very slim.

Every time I go to UMG's website, I get depressed seeing her picture directly next to George Strait's...

I stumbled across Haley Georgia's Facebook page a few weeks ago and noticed that she had an EP available on iTunes and subsequently previewed a few tracks. I didn't hold out much hope following the disastrous debut single "Ridiculous," but I was very pleasantly surprised by her EP. It has quickly become one of my favorite albums to listen to. I also came upon her EPK video and learned that speaks very well with a mature voice. I'm now convinced that she has the potential to become a star.

Once again they are marketing her as something she's not. The EP is called "Pretty Girls Mixtape" ;)
Kidding aside the titles sound like something I'd find on a Radio Disney playlist and the fact that she's still posing for covers with nothing but a bikini hardly makes me think she's "matured".
Granted, I know I'm not being fair since I've haven't actually listened to the music (and while I've suffered through everything from Sam Hunt to Chris Lane, I don't think I'll subject myself to anymore Haley), but I'm just saying I don't see much that's changed with her.

It's not very country at all, but it's enjoyable and she really reminds me of Ke$ha vocally, who I love.

Never said I wanted Haley Georgia to become the next big thing in country music... not that it matters because I still see no way in hell it happens, so you won't have to worry about a thing.

It seemed a little odd that UMG Nashville signed an artist such as Haley because she's in no way Country at all. And she was on American Idol? Wow. Lol not sure why they would sign someone who did terrible on their audition.
