Yea I loves me some Trisha too. I think the reason I prefer her over the likes of LeAnn and Martina is she doesnt seem to have the need to over-sing as those previous two girl singers do. Sometimes a restrained performance is more emotional and effective then trying to blow up car speakers across the country....

From Trisha's website:
Want a little piece of Heaven? Well, next week you'll get one!
Trisha's video for "Heaven, Heartache and The Power Of Love" will debut next Thursday, August 23rd on CMT & GAC. Also, don't miss the video on CMT Pure Country on Friday, August 24th.

Thanks! I think she looks a bit unnatural in the first minute or so of the video, but I love how she looks in the club scenes -- she seems to let loose a bit. Overall, I really like the video. I'm really rooting for this song, and how I'd love it if it somehow managed to make the top-10.

She looks amazing in the video! I love this song!
When the video transitioned into the club scene, my first thought was that Trisha really looks like Carrie Underwood in this video...kinda reminded me of the "Before He Cheats" video when Carrie was performing. She definitely looks great.
It's good to have Trisha back.

The video made me like the song a bit more. She looks great.
Still, this song lacks any distinctive or memorable melody. It's rollicking energy for sure, but nothing that grabs me and makes me wanna listen again. Unfortunately that may be it's downfall.

Cool video. It makes me like the song even more. I'm shocked that Trisha is up to #28 already. So far, she's moved 49-53-46-37-33-28, which has to be her fastest climb in years. I wonder if she can keep it up. I hope that she can return to the top 10. Not because this is my favorite things she's done in years (I think a lot of JC album tracks are better), but because it's been so long since she's had a top 10. Unless I'm forgetting something, I think 2001's "I Would've Loved You Anyway" is her last top 10.
BTW, has anyone seen an official tracklist for the greatest hits, out in less than 2 weeks? This is what I've seen, but I don't know if it's official or not:
1. She's In Love With The Boy 2. The Woman Before Me 3. Like We Never Had A Broken Heart 4. The Wrong Side Of Memphis 5. Walkaway Joe 6. The Song Remembers When 7. XXX's and OOO's An American Girl 8. Thinkin' About You 9. Believe Me Baby, I Lied 10. Everybody Knows 11. Perfect Love 12. How Do I Live 13. There Goes My Baby 14. Powerful Thing 15. I Would've Loved You Anyway 16. Just A Cup Of Coffee (NEW) 17. Nothin' To Lose (NEW)
Interesting that there are so many repeats from 'Songbook', and that "Real Live Woman" and "Georgia Rain" (among others) are missing.

It's the official listing...... rumor is the 2 new cuts are from the initial sessions Trisha did for the "Jasper County" album that she scrapped before starting again on the batch of material that made the disc.
I think the lack of RLW & JC singles will make this less appealing a purchase but MCA probably hopes there are casual fans who have lost their copy of Songbook or need to upgrade from Cassette.......

This was off to such a great start, and now it's really hit a brick wall. I hope it's only temporary, and that she starts to move again, but the bullet really evaporated quickly.

I noticed this today. She has been moving great for so long and after a lot of failed singles, I was impressed with how well this one was doing and happy for her. I hope it picks up some more steam soon.

She's been consistently gaining 400-500k over the last 3 weeks, and I think her gains will start increasing once she gets into the top 20 or so. The album release is about 7 weeks away, so this song has plenty of time to rise before then.

Did anyone see her CMT Crossroads special with Babyface? I thought it was one of the worst episodes so far. Not because of either artist (they both sounded great), but because they didn't seem to interact as much as other pairings, and they just seemed kind of odd together. I will admit that Trisha still sings "How Do I Live" the way that it should be performed. I have been pretty disappointed with LeAnn's renditions in the past few years. I wish she would improve on hers. But anyways that's just my little rant. I can't wait for LeAnn & Joss Stone's episode though!!

I always planned on commenting about this, but I kept forgetting. Anyway, I was so looking forward to their episode because I love Trisha and I like Babyface well enough. But while watching, I just got... bored. Yeah, Trisha sang amazingly well, as usual. Babyface did too. And then... nothing. It was just blah.

I haven't seen much of the Crossroads episode yet, but from what I did see, I agree--not much chemistry. I love Trisha but it seemed a weird pairing. The Sugarland/Bon Jovi one remains my favorite. Talk about chemistry and interaction!!! Keith Urban and John Fogerty was my second fave and then Reba and Kelly.
Looking forward to the Leann one--I bet it rocks!

This is freaky... kim8, are you me?
Those are my exact rankings for my top Crossroads episodes.
Back to Trisha, I'm looking forward to her new album.

Ha Ha. I think we are two different people, but that is cool :)
I am really looking forward to Trisha's new CD too. She is an amazing singer.

-80 bullet on Mediabase. I'm really liking this song now. I hope it hasn't peaked. Maybe this is just temporary.

This took a slight hit in audience today (~70K), but it had been gaining in audience the 4 days prior. So it's nothing irreversible. Hopefully, it will gain in audience again tomorrow.

It is wonderful to have her back on the radio again, as she's undoubtedly the best traditional female country singer to hit the format in ages.
I can't wait for her new CD.

Hmm...I didn't know she was singing the national anthem at the World Series tonight. Carrie and Trisha back to back. Can it get any better?
Anyway, it looks like "Heaven, Heartache, And The Power Of Love" will drop one spot to #23 this week as Rascal Flatts goes flying by.

I'd hate to see this song's chart run cut short -- I hope it has plenty of weeks left, and a few of those in the top 20 or even top 15.

She looked great and sounded INCREDIBLE singing the National Anthem. As soon as that was over, I changed the channel.

I've listened to the new cd. One of my favorite cds this year. She can sing a ballad like no one else. And the ballad, Dreaming Fields, is among her most beautiful vocal performances. Exquisite. I like Heaven, Heartache but it's probably among my least favorites from the cd. That's how great the cd is.
My favorites are Dreaming Fields, This Is Me Talking To You, They Call It Falling For A Reason, Let The Wind Chase You, We Tried, and Sing You Back To Me.

I had the pleasure to hear this live last night. She opened with it when she sang before Mr. Brooks. I have to say, the woman did wonderful! This song really kicks live and the crowd was really into it. I'm happy to say the song and the singer got a wonderful reception from the crowd, and they were actively promoting the new album at the souvenir stand, so hopefully this album will be a success for her.

I bought the new CD today, and it's fantastic; not a bad song on it. Trisha should be required listening for any female newcomer to Nashville to hear how it's done right. It's still early, and I hope "Heaven, Heartache..." has a lot of life left in it (a nice jump to #19 this week is a step in the right direction), but any one of the next three songs on the CD would be a good single. If the first four tracks on the album are the first four singles, then I think Trisha will actually be able to get more than 1 top 40 hit from this album. Hopefully she'd go 4/4.

So far I'm about half way through and I have to admit I'm somewhat disappointed. Maybe it's one of those CD's where the songs grown on you but so far from the one's I've heard, I'd have to say 'Nothin 'Bout Memphis is my fave.
