"Heaven" is in stores for YearwoodTrisha Yearwood is a busy gal. She and husband Garth Brooks took the day off to promote her new studio album, Heaven, Heartache, and the Power of Love, in stores today. They return to Kansas City, MO, tomorrow night to wrap up the Garth Brooks World Tour 2007. The album features Yearwood's 27th top 20 Billboard hit, the title track. The album, says Trisha, is a bit different from her typical records. "There were just so many cool, uptempo songs that showed up for this record. And some of it was the enthusiasm that transferred into the studio," Yearwood said. "It just seems like this record was meant to be. So maybe those are my three words: "meant to be." Because when I listen back now, I hear how much fun I was having during the process." Yearwood's album is her first release on Big Machine Records. Her CMT Crossroads episode with Babyface repeats on Nov. 15th on CMT at 12pm ET. Country On-Demand

This astonishing CD has replaced Joe Nichols's current CD as my choice for the year's best country CD.
Why can't Faith Hill record a CD as exceptional as this masterpiece?

I wonder what sales she'll open with. Jasper County did over 100k. I don't think she'll quite do that, but I'd love to see at least 80k. This album gets better and better with every listen. I still say that "This Is Me You're Talking To", "They Call It Falling For A Reason" and "Nothin' 'Bout Memphis" all need to be singles, but she's got a few others that could be hits as well. Since she opened with one of her most uptempo singles ever, I think she can afford to release a ballad next (unlike last time, when her ballad second single didn't even make the top 40).

The album isn't in HDD's one-day sales estimate article so that isn't a very good sign. George is in there with 60-70K so Trisha is most likely below 60K, unless they're just completely overlooking her. Little Big Town wasn't in their one-days either last week and they ended up with 35K on SoundScan.

That's really disappointing. I hope HDD is just overlooking her. This album is far too good to have such a significant dropoff in opening week sales. The more I listen to the album the more I love it, especially those first four songs.

I don't remember the last time I purchased a CD by any female vocalist that was as astonishing as this one; for someone who's been away from the format for several years, she certainly hasn't lost her flawless ability to pick exceptional songs for her CDs.
Her body of work over the past decade gets my vote as the best within the format among all female vocalists, with the possible exception of the equally priceless Patty Loveless.
Those CD sales are indeed disappointing, while this stellar CD is anything but.

It's looking like this won't even crack the country top 10. I have no idea why her sales have fallen so hard with this album. It's wonderful, Garth is everywhere (and by association, her name is back in the news) and HH&TPOL is just as big as "Georgia Rain". There's no need her album sales should fall by 100k (or about an 80% dropoff).

I think the HHatPoL album got tripped up by following her Greatest Hits compilation so closely.

I believe that the release of that version of a GH CD was from her previous label, with a couple of new tracks which weren't on her first GH CD, which was called 'SongBook', IIRC.

I can't even believe with about 65% of the numbers in, that this CD is selling less than 16 K!!! What the heck? I'm dumbfounded. I picked mine up a few days ago and it's incredible. Nobody sings a sad song like Trisha. Ugh!

I didn't buy it and I have every Trisha album. I wasn't super impressed with the lead single, so I'm waiting to hear more before I get it.

Download "This Is Me You're Talking To", "Nothin' Bout Memphis", "Let The Wind Chase You", "The Dreaming Fields", "Sing You Back To Me" or "They Call It Falling For A Reason". There's some great stuff on here.

I really hope Let the Wind Chase You is a single. I am somewhat biased 'cause Keith sings on it, but this is such a beautiful song. I keep getting it stuck in my head.

So far I really hope Nothin' Bout Memphis is released. After one listen, I couldnt get into this CD like all other Trisha cd's. Truly disappointed.

Anybody who owns the album version of HHATPOL: I noticed it's a bit longer than the single version... is it just another verse sung or an instrumental solo?

This woman is one of the greatest female Country singers period, it's a sad state of affairs when the likes of Taylor Swift is outselling her and is doing better on radio than Trisha, what a waste.

Down just over 350K on Mediabase for the week, and with holiday airplay becoming a factor, this song may well go recurrent the chart week after next. *sigh* C'mon Big Machine, spring a reversal!
Of the 3 songs they tested a while back on Rate the Music, I'm hoping "They Call It Falling For a Reason" or "Let the Wind Chase You" is chosen as the 2nd single. I don't care for the chorus of "This Is Me You're Talking To," though the verses are lovely.

Times change. Dolly is more of a 'greatest females period' than Trisha and when is the last time she hit #1 and sold over 200,000 albums??
