This week it is just the 3rd airing of 1997 overall and the 2nd 1997 airing of this year. New show as usual - this time from July 26, 1997.

Those of you 1990 fans who have been waiting for this year to air again, I will tell you this - your wish has been granted this weekend.
This week is a new show from August 4, 1990 which also has some 80s songs thrown in for good measure including the ACC Archives.

This week we are taking a trip back in time to a new show from August 8, 1998. Just look at all the women on top of this week's chart! (Especially Top 10 bound)
Too bad they don't get that much respect on country radio today...

This week's show narrowly misses the first repeat show of the series but we get a new one from August 13, 1994. Also aside note that WBME is right now airing 1992 shows in its entirety (4-hour shows) on Fridays.
I still don't understand why on the ACC Archives they changed the A-Z format of #1's from the past 25 years to the 80s/90s around the beginning of 1995... maybe radio was evolving and wanted to move forward with the times.

Today, the new ACC Rewind show this weekend is from August 21, 1999 (the 90s hot streak continues), when the listener requests were from the 80s or 90s (although he mentioned it inconsistently in the closing credits up til 2000 rolled around).

They sure love 1992 but at least we get a new show out of it this week - August 29, 1992 to be exact. They seem to be doing better on rotating years and not having some years be too close like they used to.

This was a special show as Lonestar spent week #6 of 8 at the top, breaking all sorts of 40 year old records.

By the way, is it just me, or did I hear a different mix of Drivin' My Life Away like we normally hear? (the ACC Calendar song)
Anyway, going to post early - this week's show leading up to Labor Day is a new one and from September 2, 1995. (regular show)

There seems to be a streak going on as far as 90s shows are concerned - 8 consecutive weeks in a row dating back to late July. And boy, they sure love 1993 a whole lot, but at least we get a new show out of this one this week - September 11, 1993 to be exact.

As of this week, the 90s streak continues to nine in a row - and a new show as well this week from September 21, 1996. Wonder if they'll do 1991 to complete the 90s streak next weekend?

1996 was my favorite year of country music listening, so this week is a real treat. Tons of great songs top to bottom.

Indeed it was and more female artists back then compared to today's standards.
This week's show is the 10th consecutive 90s year in a row (and a new show as well), this time from September 28, 1991 when the A-Z archives were featured at the end of hours 1 through 3.

It's become almost too much of a coincidence that Prime Country does their Top 30 the week before ACC Rewind does their countdown. It's maybe 7 of the last 9 weeks it's the same countdown, a week off.

A few weeks ago, ACC and Prime Country played the same top year on the same weekend. It was the week they went back to 1993

Yeah, but on Kingsley's shows he plays some extras on top of the current charting songs back then.
Anyway, the streak continues for the 90s shows with 12 in a row and a new show from October 6, 1990.

A new show this week is from October 17, 1998, as the 90s streak just doesn't want to stop, making it 13 consecutive weeks in a row going back to late July.

The 90s streak just keeps on going, 14 weeks in a row. This time the show this week is from October 21, 1995 (new show).

Well, for now, they may have decided that the 90s years are worth airing at this time, as this week's show is from October 29, 1994 (new show). Also they may be trying to avoid repeats early in the series until they have enough shows in the can.
As of this week, the music/jingle package is still the same as it was on September 17, 1994 when it was featured on ACC Rewind last year.

It was nice to hear "Has Anybody Seen Amy" on the radio again.

Yeah, a pretty obscure song nowadays - these shows take us back to hear songs we probably forgot. If only they can get #31-40, then we'd hear more obscure songs.
This week, we are rewinding back to November 6, 1999. I wonder if they will do some special ACC Rewind shows during the Christmas/New Year's weekend? They didn't do it last year, so maybe they will start doing it this year if that is an option they can do...

This week in the spotlight is a show from November 16, 1996 (which happened to be an election year). Nonetheless, really good year for country music (hard to believe it was 20 years ago).

I forgot how amazing "That Ol' Wind" by Garth Brooks is. Easy contender for his best single.

Yeah, but by the time it peaked they were doing a year-end countdown show (when Billboard stopped their frozen week rule).
Anyway, the 90s streak seems to be loved by the affiliates running the show - and this week is no exception. This week's show is from November 21, 1992.

I guess 2000-2005 seems to be nonexistent for the time being...
Again, they seem to love 1993 a lot, as November 27, 1993 is the ACC Rewind feature this weekend. Still hoping for special ACC Rewind shows during Christmas/New Year's... (posted a FB message to CT40, haven't heard back yet)

20 weeks in a row from the 90s - that just goes to show you that they are on a hot streak, but at the same time, other people are going to wonder where 2000-2005 went? It may come back in the future, but anyway...
This week's show in hand is a new show from December 7, 1991, one week after the Hot 100 changed to SoundScan which was in use earlier that year by the country album chart.

We may have to rename this ACC Rewind: The 90s because that appears to be the decade for airing.
This week's show is from December 13, 1997 - note the amount of women on the chart back then as opposed to today's standards.

In what may possibly be the last regular ACC Rewind show of 2016, this week's show is from December 22, 1990.
Will be interesting to see what happens in the next two weeks and also next week in particular whether if they will do special ACC Rewind shows (Christmas/Year-end) because many (probably all affiliates) running the show may very well go all Christmas next weekend, and it is possible they could pre-empt the show next week. We shall see...
