Anyone know why the songs from the 4x4 EP (not including Backroad Song obviously) aren't available to download? Thankfully they still show up in my library but I find that odd that they aren't available on the Remington pre order yet. Probably because that was released via Thirty Tigers and the album is via Wheelhouse/BBRMG. Ah yes that makes perfect sense didn't think of that. Thanks!

Capitol really tried to block Broken Bow from #1 on Mediabase. "Home Alone Tonight" gained 110 spins and 300k in audience in today's update, vs. "Backroad Song's" 135 spins and 400k in audience. Right now, I place Granger slightly in the lead for Billboard so they need another solid update tomorrow to assure them of that chart, too. I was actually really happy to see two labels duke it out for #1 this week.
Though, that doesn't mean that there isn't anything to shake my head at..."Backroad Song" gained 1700 spins and nearly 12.0 million in audience over the past two weeks, yikes. Granger's song will start falling come Tuesday but his song is still 1300 spins and 10.0 million in audience ahead of Kelsea. I could see Black River putting a max spins for #1 ad in Aircheck this week, so Broken Bow might let Granger free fall even though Granger's album isn't due out this week. This was a massive two week push.

I could see Black River putting a max spins for #1 ad in Aircheck this week, so Broken Bow might let Granger free fall even though Granger's album isn't due out this week. This was a massive two week push. Probably just a typo, but Granger is actually almost 10 million audience impressions ahead of Kelsea, not just 1 million.

I don't know why but I feel like Broken Bow will try to keep Granger stable and aim for a second week since well as dm2081 and sabre14 have noted there's a 10 million audience gap between Granger and Kelsea so if Broken Bow tries to keep Granger steady he could get a second week.

It is a very large gap but if Broken Bow gives up promotion, Granger could very well lose between 6-8 million in MB audience, so Kelsea wouldn't need to make up a big difference to reach #1. Granger's song had a very massive two week push, so I'm inclined to believe he'll fall, but the question is how much.

True but if Broken Bow tries to soften the blow to like 1 to 1.5 million audience in losses Kelsea Ballerini would have to basically pull a "Love You Like That" to catch up. If I was Broken Bow I'd soften the blow since their is such a huge gap.

I doubt that this one gets 2 weeks at the top, and I really hope it doesn't. It certainly hasn't made the kind of impact for a multiple-week stay at the top, imo.

This probably isn't really worthy of a 2 week #1, but it certainly has run into some interesting timing. Granger had big gains the past few weeks, but I suspect some of that had to do with radio needing a power up a few songs since "Break Up In A Small Town" and "Die A Happy Man" finally started to descend some. I hope Granger pushes for 2 weeks just for the sake of keeping the multi #1 streak going.

"Backroad Song" has gained 3.3 million in Mediabase audience since Monday, while "Home Alone Tonight" has lost 800k in Mediabase audience since Monday. The gap was 3.0 million on Billboard Airplay last week, between the two songs, so if the audience totals line up (which is usually pretty close) that means Granger has at the most 900k-1.0 million lead in Billboard audience as of today. I say at worst the lead is 400k-500k, so I guess there's still a shot for Luke to get Billboard for a third straight week but I just can't see Broken Bow not going all out today for the Billboard chart too, especially help from iHeartMedia stations (Granger's song was an OTV pick, after all).

He edged Luke by just 176 points so both tunes might plunge this week and especially if Smith misses out on reaching #1 at Billboard.

On the contrary, I think if Granger missed the Billboard #1, then his label would be more inclined to keep pushing "Backroad Song" for another week, simply because he's so far ahead of Kelsea. Granger has seen huge gains the last two weeks so normally I think he'd see a very steep drop this week, but Broken Bow has been known to stretch out their time at the top of the charts, and with Granger so far ahead of the next bulleted song, they might try for a 2nd week at #1. Even if he lost 3-4 million he could still stay at the top. I think it's more likely that Granger narrowly beat Luke on Billboard as well, but it could be close, and since today is Presidents Day we won't get to see the chart until tomorrow evening.

It's official! He will be #1 on Mediabase and Billboard Hot Country Songs this week. It says nothing about Billboard Country Airplay in the article but we can assume he will be #1 on there as well? Anyway here's the article! tasteofcountry.com/granger-smith-backroad-song-charts/

Anyway here's the article! tasteofcountry.com/granger-smith-backroad-song-charts/Since the Hot Country Songs is based on overall popularity and I'm 99% sure that songs like "Die A Happy Man", "Home Alone Tonight", and "Breakup In A Small Town" are still overall beating Granger pretty well in sales, I think it's safe to assume that they were hinting at Billboard Country AirPlay chart. I'm sure of it.

Yes, Granger is at #1 for this song on Mediabase/AirCheck, Billboard Country Airplay and Music Row Country BreakOut.

Anyway here's the article! tasteofcountry.com/granger-smith-backroad-song-charts/That was a mistake on Taste of Country's part. They meant to say Billboard Country Airplay. "Backroad Song" is lagging far behind several other songs in sales and streams, so there's no chance of it going to #1 on the Hot Country Songs chart.

So he did make it to #1 on BBs airplay chart; that's fine with me since it's among my very favorite songs right now.
With a 1,000 spin lead over 'Dibs' right now @ Mediabase, who will be #1 come Sunday morning?

With a 1,000 spin lead over 'Dibs' right now @ Mediabase, who will be #1 come Sunday morning? "Backroad Song". Black River did not put up any "max spins for #1" ads in Aircheck or Billboard, so they recognize the immense lead that Wheelhouse has right now and they're going to hold off until the start of next week. Even if Kelsea gains 400 spins and 4.0 million in audience from now until Sunday, I still don't think it'll be enough to overtake Granger. I'm expecting "Backroad Song" to fall in spins and audience over the next four days, but I expect them to be light in nature.
