KCYY in San Antonio and KRTY in San Jose have started playing "Confession", as its officially picked up spins on those two stations. Um Yeah on Country Countdown USA FGL announced "Confession" would be their new single and they would premier it at the CMAs anyways I'm calling Dibs on making the thread.

This is thrilling news. Honestly so pumped that we're gonna get a "Confession" release. Might just be my favourite single of the year so far (assuming it is indeed being released as a single).

Based on today's update it almost looks like all three labels will be gunning for #1 by next weekend, and I imagine this will be the peak week for all three songs ("Anything Goes", "Break Up With Him", "Let Me See Ya Girl")
Looks like we got ourselves a bro fight ya'll!

Not a bad choice for a single. Although I would've rather had "Bumpin' The Night" as the next single.

After having a chance to sit down and review the data, it has become clear to me that after this week, FGL and Old Dominion will have peaked. Here's why: lw TW Artist Title TW lw Move 2 1 FLORIDA-GEORGIA LINE Anything Goes 7989 7543 446 53.267 3 2 OLD DOMINION Break Up With Him 7992 7533 459 51.592 4 3 COLE SWINDELL Let Me See Ya Girl 7821 7299 522 52.354 1 4 LUKE BRYAN Strip It Down 7444 8218 -774 49.890 5 5 CARRIE UNDERWOOD Smoke Break 7380 6922 458 48.176 While Old Dominion is ahead of FGL by a mere 3 spins, you will notice that Cole's AI is now 800k higher than OD's. Even though MB's AI is different from Billboard's, the gaps probably aren't far off. What will happen is that there will be a split #1. FGL will take the Billboard #1 and OD will take the MB #1. Both will begin to freefall by probably Tuesday, and Cole will slide into the top spot and take both charts next weekend.....and then there's Carrie. With OD falling down the charts, Sony will probably be putting the pedal to the metal so to speak, to get Carrie near where she needs to be to overtake Cole, once Cole has hit the top and begins to decline. This puts Carrie's possible #1 trajectory at 2 weeks from this upcoming Monday, but this all depends on whether or not anyone takes a 2nd week at the top, which I don't see any of the top 3 doing at this point. Excellent analysis. I hope you're right about Florida Georgia Line getting the #1 on Billboard for two reasons: 1. I'll move them from #80 to #69 on the list of those artists with the most #1 hits. 2. That means Anything Goes will be the 37th country album with a quartet of chart toppers on it. Florida Georgia Line are already on that list with the 33rd album, Here's To The Good Times.

I couldn't see why we'd want to push FGL on any country all-time list?

I have no control over the situation.

Alright, let me explain, obviously everyone can like different music. Geez, it just seems like the majority here don't root for FGL. I don't think I have ever seen a positive comment about them here. Sorry, I said I was being serious, not sarcasm, snarky or anything.

BuffaloCountry isn't 'pushing' FGL under any circumstances; he's merely updating the BB record books/archives. Nothing more, nothing less, and I'm looking forward to Carrie rising to #3 or perhaps #2 next week. I know he's not pushing them, but if most here are like me, that's assuming, I know I root against them, so...

Ya'll may disagree, but the way I see it, FGL will get the Billboard #1, Old Dominion will get the MB #1 and then both songs--along with Cole Swindell-- will start falling early next week.
I may be wrong, but that's my gut.

Oh so close. Identical spin counts:
3 1 FLORIDA-GEORGIA LINE Anything Goes 8212 7569 643 54.038 2 2 OLD DOMINION Break Up With Him 8213 7694 519 53.289

I agree with the first part, but I think Cole will take over next week for the #1, because the next closest song, Carrie Underwood's "Smoke Break", is still several million AIs behind. I think for sure the MB and BB #1's will be split, then both FGL and OD will fall, then Cole, then Carrie.

I'm not sure he can sustain that audience through the next week. Also, Sony hasn't been playing nice lately so they'll be pushing Smoke Break for next weekend I think. Also, the next songs in line look like: 2. Sony 3. Warner 4. Sony 5. Warner 6. Sony 7. dropping 8. Warner This makes me think that there will be no playing nice the next few weeks. Stations are really converting Chris Young hard and if Warner wants Dan+Shay to have a shot at the top, they need to be quick. That means Sony has to be quick with Carrie, meaning they don't have time to give Cole his own week. We'll see.

Well then they will have to push Carrie hard, since she's millions behind FGL, OD and Cole. I still think FGL will squeak out the BB #1, and then fall down.

At least one of those three songs will lose 1,500+ spins and 5,000,000+ AIs next week which Carrie's team is undoubtedly aware of regardless of whom winds up at #1 tomorrow.

^ and that looks like it will be for sure FGL. They are likely going to take the #1 on both charts, but it remains to be seen if OD will be able to survive another week.

Still not convinced FGL got the BB #1. Old Dominion has been out gaining FGL in audience basically all week the only reason Florida Georgia Line got the MB #1 was the spin difference so I still think this will be a Mediabase only #1 with Old Dominion getting it's first week on top at Billboard.

Old Dominion had a healthy margin ahead in audience compared to FGL add in the fact Old Dominion has outgained in audiences which BB is based on it doesn't look to be all that close.

Looks like I had it backwards. FGL starts a massive freefall this morning after getting the MB #1 and it looks like OD and Cole will be fighting for Billboard today.
I'm almost certain both will start falling tomorrow because I think Sony and Warner are ready to start their next fight. It will really muck things up for 4 other artists if they don't let them fall.

So you think both Cole Swindell AND Old Dominion will fall starting tomorrow. I just can't see it maybe Old Dominion OR Cole Swindell falls but I just don't see how both. Carrie Underwood isn't quite at the #1 airplay peak levels and she would theoretically be next in line to hit the top and her numbers don't indicate she's ready. I still maintain my belief that Cole and Old Dominion will fight for the Billboard #1 and they will continue to duke it out this next week.
