Could that violate her contract with SNF on NBC? Literally just digging for any reason to debunk this. Stop her, Dungan. Highly doubt it. It's a small thing. Not like it's a show that airs every week.

Nevertheless, it wouldn't matter if it was 30 seconds of television or 2 hours of television. She's contractually signed to NBC's biggest rating draw. Not sure how that will be bode with ABC.

Oh, but still, she's on like 17 straight weeks during football season, that's a whole season of television. Lol. But, yeah, I hope she doesn't become a judge, and I don't really think she will. Just keep working on a new album Carrie, stay the path.

I'm a bit nervous that she's in LA, as she might be "holding talks" per Variety. I'm pretty sure the rumors that Idol and The Voice are engaged in a bidding war over her are true. The Voice has seemingly been courting her for a while (tagging and praising her when contestants sing her songs, etc.) but they don't have a chance (Carrie never acknowledges them or their contestants who sing her songs; they can't get her to do video packages for her previous back-up singers who've competed on the show, etc.). Idol, on the other hand, has a fighting chance. Carrie has always felt such deep loyalty and gratitude towards the show and even though she doesn't need the money or exposure and she has said that she doesn't want to be a judge, if they go hard with the sentimentality aspect and the 'we desperately need you' and the 'please help us out,' I'm not counting out the possibility she might say yes. I'm already dreading seeing the 'breaking news' one day. RESIST, Carrie. Please don't!!!!

At this point, if she's "in talks", then something is likely going to happen; a judging gig seems most likely. HOWEVER, I hope there is some kind of compromise where Carrie takes on more of a mentor position - a la Jimmy Iovine or that Bruschetta creep... Honestly, though, like I said, if she really is "in talks", it's all but a done deal at this point. I'm sure they're offering way more than they should but with Kelly and J-Hudd out of the picture, Carrie's really the only relevant Idol left minus a few other somewhat notable alumni (McPhee, Daughtry, Fantasia, Alaina, etc..).

Not like it's a show that airs every week. Does her contract state she can only work with one network? I think that would be odd since she isn't a host or anything. Plenty of people have done different things in different networks.

Do we actually know that she's even being talked to? Wasn't that just a gossip site talking about it, not concrete?

This is exactly what I see happening. Carrie has shown an extraordinary amount of gratitude to them over the years, more than she really needs to, honestly. I mean, I learned a few years back that she would give gifts to the top 12 contestants every year of Idol. That shocked me. She's such a sweet person, which is the only reason I could see it happening. What would be funny is if Idol cast Brad Paisley with Carrie. Brad does have an ABC connection via Rising Star, and was the only person involved with that show that was any good...

They're really the icing on the cake of her talent, beauty, care for animals, etc. We really are so lucky to have a chick like her in this biz.

Bless CMT for making this available for viewing again on YT. One of the best performances she's ever delivered.

It's a shame "Church Bells" never received an all-genre award show performance. She really gave that song her all.

Also, while I really couldn't care less about sports in general, the GIFs of Carrie that have come out of every Preds game this season have been A+. Now I just need this season to end, for her Twitter's sake.
ETA: She's got this random partnership going on with MasterCard and American Airlines. She's playing 2 intimate shows: one at The Fillmore in Philadelphia on June 15, and the other at The Orpheum in Los Angeles on June 29, both available exclusively to AAdvantage cardholders.
