I've seen a lot of "FINALLY", "long time coming", and "About Time" comments on twitter for Carrie's Walk of Fame Announcement.
Has it really been a long time coming? She's been a 'celebrity' for barely 12 years. This is a YOOOOUUUUUNG recipient. We should be pumped by how fast she made this kind of impact.
Sometimes we are hard to please fans. XD

Yeah I was genuinely surprised. I mean, I knew it was coming but I didn't think it would be this soon. Some entertainers wait DECADES for a star, to get one at such a young age so early on in her career is truly remarkable. She's quickly escalating to legend status!

It sounds like like her relationship w/ Cindy Mabe has been a strong, resonating factor, and likely pushed her to switch labels. I didn't realize their connection was so well-kept as it apparently has always been, which could spell REALLY good news for this next era.

In fairness to Goodman, I agree with him that by the time he came in, it was "too little too late." I do think Carrie started becoming dissatisfied when Gary Overton took over and it just came to the point when it became time for contract negotiations and the shift to Universal with Cindy Mabe seemed the best move at the best time. Unfortunate time for Goodman to be CEO. Yeah, he's gonna be "the guy that lost Carrie Underwood."
The star on the Walk of Fame is pretty cool!

It's interesting to me that Carrie wants to break through internationally, yet won't allow pop mixes of some of her songs so that they can cross over. I think she has universal appeal regardless, but I don't think she will achieve Taylor or Shania-level international recognition if she doesn't start promoting some of her poppier material to other formats. She's had several opportunities with songs like "Cowboy Casanova", "Good Girl", "Blown Away", and even "Dirty Laundry". Such missed opportunities.

I know, people saying finally is strange. Jennifer Lawrence is already getting one (which I'm totally cool with), and she's a bit younger than Carrie, and hasn't been as visible for as long. And someone like Gina Lollobrigida is "finally" getting one.
Anyway, I hope some new co writes start popping up, we need some info on a new album.

Put Carrie on shuffle for the first time in a while today. It's crazy how immaculate the quality of her discography is. Even Play On, which was never my favorite of hers, is still a really solid album. I also love that she doesn't really pander to country stereotypes and instead just records great songs that are relatable for people in all walks of life. Even her more "country" songs come from a genuine place ("I Ain't In Checotah Anymore," "Wine After Whiskey") or are just plain fun ("Choctaw County Affair," "Cupid's Got A Shotgun"). The A&R, songwriting, and Carrie's own interpretations on her records really are top-notch.

She's HOT as hell! It's strange though to see her with long hair again, lol! I like it. New album era?
Plus, as a bonus love all the Steeler-ness around her, does this Pittsburgh boys heart good. Although, she might still be upset at Pittsburgh, haha!

Nooooo... please tell me that is just a hair extension.
I really want an album era with short hair. Otherwise, it is as if that look never existed lol.

But I'm not sure how I feel about the look. She looks good, but it's almost as if it doesn't look natural on her, but maybe that's just because I've gotten used to seeing her with shorter hair during the Storyteller era lol.

I was running today and "Leave Love Alone" came on. Such a jam. It's one of her most 'Shania' songs to me; the production reminds me of "No One Needs To Know" a bit (though "LLA" hits harder), as does the sexy vocal.

I want a studio album and lead single out this year. I really don't care if Carrie Underwood ever puts out a Christmas album.

I think we'll probably get something around CMA I think that will be the gameplan at Capitol. Wait until October to put out a single, perform it at the C.M.A.s in November, and then release the album.

Honestly, the concept of a Christmas album doesn't seem appealing in this album climate anymore. I'd love to hear her renditions of all the classics, but I would just say release it to Spotify only or something. Get it out there, but don't waste an album cycle.
Just get us an all new album. Plus, I don't think her first album with a new label would be a Christmas album.

They have very limited windows of time that they are popular. At least a studio album will keep someone like Carrie Underwood on the charts for a couple of years. Storyteller's singles charted between 2015-2017.

But I don't think it would "waste an album cycle". It would be like her Greatest Hits era and be short, except the album would probably continue to sell every year around the holidays. I can see a Carrie Underwood Christmas album selling VERY well. Maybe we can get both this year lol.

I only hope she doesn't wait to do a holiday album after the vocals aren't what they used to be (like Whitney's unlistenable Christmas album...).

Was it useful to announce the label-change in 2017 if new music doesn't come out soon after?
I hope the plan is for another late-summer single.

I think that might happen. SB was kind of random last year, right? Like we knew she was working on it, but it like all dropped at once.

I believe there were rumors swirling of a new Carrie single being released that summer, as well as leaked photos of her on the set for the music video.
