I was certain he'd go with "Georgia" as single #3.
I'd imagine this will be part of a re-release or something.

Looking forward to this, although I was rooting for "First Time" to be released next~ I'd imagine this will be part of a re-release or something. I agree with you. I don't think it's going to be the lead single from his new album, but I could be wrong though.

Yeah, I guess a re-release makes sense since his album only came out back in September and he's still doing promo for it.

Pipa says: "I'm excited. Vance Joy is my second favourite artist after Puddle Of Mudd, and his album was like a modern-day Stuck EP in terms of both influence and how much I love it. Vance "Better Than AC/DC" Joy has my download, that's for sure."

Doc Indie Party Rock says: "Love this direction of alternative. It has the same lovely sound as "Stolen Dance", "Renegades", "Sedona" and "Ex's & Oh's". I dig the folkiness of this song. Download? Absolutely a check!"

I might be one of the only ones on Pulse here, but I actually really enjoyed both of Vance Joy's first two singles, so I'm moderately excited to hear this. I'm not a fan of re-releases though, as I always find that to be lazy and just an instant cash grab. I'll be curious to see if Vance Joy can keep the momentum going here.

I LOVED Riptide liked Mess Is Mine and disliked everything else on the album. I'm the total opposite. Riptide was good, but I've grown to like Mess Is Mine more. Yet to check the rest of the album.

I actually tried to listen to his other songs to see if he had something even remotely likeable and I just couldn't. Hopefully this changes that.

His sound reminds me a lot of the local live music scene from like 10-15 years ago, where every local rock band sounded kind of the same. Even though there are a few songs on his album I really like, I don't know how he has gotten as big as he has as there's not really anything differentiating about his sound other than Riptide. Despite that, the album is kind of calming or relaxing, probably because of the nostalgic value it has.

Single cover: Single cover pretty much confirms this will be included with a re-release for Dream Your Life Away. This'll also premiere on Australia's Triple J on Friday at 8:15 Australian time.

I never knew what he looked like until that post right above me. Kinda looks like The Romantics hairstyles. Not a put down. Nothing from the 80s is ever a putdown coming from me.

Just seems like a second-rate acoustic love song - I'd much rather listen to something by Lifehouse because, with them, the vocals and instrumentation are more interesting

This is alright. I don't know if it's really single worthy to me. I would have preferred "Georgia".

Hmm I really like this one. The chorus is pretty awesome and catchy on this one IMO. It's more instant than "Mess Is Mine" was, even though I grew to really enjoy that one.

I liked Riptide cause it was goofy and enjoyably catchy. Nothing else I've heard from him has struck me in the same way.

As was the case with "Mess Of Mine", the post-chorus instrumentals are the best parts.
I like it.

I didn't like "Riptide" at all, "Mess of Mine" was decent, but I like this one.

For me, this is in between Riptide and Mess Is Mine for now. Not that it's a bad thing because I liked all three singles. Maybe this will grow on me.

Really like "Straight Into Your Arms" (the other new Re-Release track) - wish that would've been the new single instead

Unlike the entirety of his last album, this has a sort of energy to it that makes it not horrible.
