MAR 31Jimmy Wayne "Do You Believe Me Now"(The Valory Music Co.) Source: Allaccess/Impacting Songs This is the second new single out from Jimmy now but still no album. Now this is getting interesting especially since this album has been pushed back several times. He was still with Big Machine for his last single, so maybe he'll have more success with his first single for The Valory Music Co. They're doing a good job with Jewel's single right now.

MusicRow has Jo Dee Messina's "I'm Done" as March 3rd, not February 25th.

MusicRow has Jo Dee Messina's "I'm Done" as March 3rd, not February 25th. AllAccess still has it as February 25th, so I'll keep it there for now.

There was an ad in Country Aircheck this week stating that "I'm Done" goes for adds on March 3rd.

MAR 03Reba McEntire "Every Other Weekend (f. Skip Ewing)"(MCA) Source: Allaccess/Impacting Songs Ugh...Why couldn't BNA just let the Kenny version be released? It's not like he has a problem getting his songs played. I hope radio just plays the Kenny version anyway.

So wait.. they're going to cut a completely different version with Skip? ??? Yes, read quote below from Skip Ewing blog written by Skip Ewing (Feb 15) OK... for those of You crazies who think the surprise has anything to do with a baby... No, it does not! A) i'm not married, and B) well... let's just stick to A). It does have something to do with music, however, and i will tell You what it is no later than March the 3rd

I don't because Billboard won't be able to credit the two versions together and they will chart differently.

MAR 24Luke Bryan "Country Man"(Capitol) Source: Allaccess/Impacting Songs is anyone else surprised at this too? i mean "We Rode In Trucks" isn't doing that horribly is it? i knew it was kinda struggling but didnt "All My Friends Say" struggle too? oh well, i like this song better than "WRIT". and about Reba... that is just stupid crap! who the heck is Skip Ewing anyway? i liked the Kenny version, my question is why would Kenny's label let him record the song in the first place if they knew it could be a single eventually... that just doesn't make sense to me. i will still listen to the Kenny version

Looking at Wikipedia his chart top 10's were in '88 and '89. He had 5 chart 58 and below after that, with the exception of Christmas Carol which got to number 44. Not a Christmas goes by I don't hear that on my radio...

Ugh...Why couldn't BNA just let the Kenny version be released? It's not like he has a problem getting his songs played. I hope radio just plays the Kenny version anyway. I don't because Billboard won't be able to credit the two versions together and they will chart differently. I'm not sure about that. I remember two instances in 2003 where Billboard gave credit to multiple artists for different versions of the song. With "Picture", the credit was given to "Kid Rock Featuring Sheryl Crow Or Allison Moorer", and with "Scary Old World", the credit was given to "Radney Foster Featuring Chely Wright Or Georgia Middleman". In the first case, they released the Allison Moorer single to Country Radio first, but the majority of the stations stuck with the Sheryl Crow version (which was then subsequently released to radio). In the second case, there was some difficulty in getting the Chely Wright version released that was on the album, so they released a radio version with Georgia Middleman instead. Still, some stations went with the Chely Wright album version instead. I don't know if policies have changed since then, but I can see a credit being given to "Reba McEntire with Skip Ewing or Kenny Chesney", although with the recent flip-flop of the "Shiftwork" single, they may be more careful with the chart credit that is being given.

^ Oh, true, I forgot about that. The same goes for Shania with "Party For Two with Billy Currington or Mark McGrath" which appeared on the Hot 100 and Country airplay charts.

That'd be nice if it was the Little Texas song. I've had that song stuck in my head lately...

Hey rowdawg, if it's not too much trouble could you go ahead and put Point of Grace's single up on the main post? :)
Also, does anyone know when/why the Crystal S single was pushed back? j/c
