It's sad to see this one go. Hope the third single does better. Maybe "Clean up on Aisle Five". Hope people are willing to give that song a chance.

Can someone explain how this song missed entering BB chart. It did more than enough to gain back on the BB chart and yet it didn't manage to re-enter, My only guess is that Curb isn't working the song anymore (unlike MCA with David Nail and George Strait) and that KKBQ in Houston is spinning it simply because they want to and because they like the song (they do this quite often). So perhaps Curb told Billboard they were done promoting the song, and Billboard decided not to re-enter it since it would have simply fallen off again as soon as KKBQ drops Mo's airplay. That's what I was thinking of as well. I don't think Curb wanted to keep promoting this after the New Year but KKBQ in Houston decided to crank this song's spin total into heavy rotation -- their methodology to their playlist is "if we like it, we play it". If this was almost any other station I wouldn't be so sure that Curb told Billboard they were done but this Houston station dances to the beat of their own drum.

It's a shame that this one did even worse than "Country" and we're left without any hope of an album release for Mo Pitney again... though I can't say I'm surprised because while I thought his debut single was a solid choice, I never felt like this was a worthy follow-up for radio. Still optimistic they have something that'll at least catch on about as much as "Country" did and they'll drop his record anyway because I really want it. :(

This one recently started selling very well. It's #176 all-genre, much better than where it was selling previously. Does anyone know the reason for the sales spike?

Bobby Bones named Mo one of the breakout artists of 2016 along with Lindsay Ell, Tucker Bethard, and Anderson East. There's one more artist he will choose on Friday and I believe it's Maren Morris. He picked 5 artists last year as well and they all broke out big last year. He played this song on Monday and that's why it shot up the charts.

I can't seem to find that info lol I like this years list a lot, I'm hoping it's true.

Really hope they can get "Come Do a Little Life" to radio. This is an alright song but nothing that grabs me. (though it's better than bro country by a mile)

I won't get my hopes up for Mo Pitney just yet but seeing this set of names and knowing all of them enjoyed their first #1 hits over the past year (Bros. Osborne is about to, anyway) is a solid track record. With the right single, I can see him at least getting a Top 30 hit and (hopefully) getting his album out. Curb's done a fairly good job with him so far, which is saying a lot considering how awful they are.

I had already started liking this song, but I really like it now. Mo was on Bobby Bones show this morning and played this song acoustic, and also played Keith Whitley's song "Miami, My Amy". He did a really good job on both and he's a dang good guitar picker.

I really like this song. I can't hear him without thinking it's Joe Nichols.

It's sort of an unwritten rule to not bump a thread if a song is no longer charting...but that's not really the case here. Mo is back at #50 on the Mediabase rolling chart as of this morning, and "Boy & A Girl Thing" also debuts at #50 on tonight's Hot Country Songs chart. I guess the folks over at Billboard aren't gonna let this one re-enter their airplay chart though, which is a bit odd since it technically didn't go recurrent (it simply fell out of the top 60 when Curb more or less quit promoting it).
But a couple of big market stations and Bobby Bones started giving it some airplay recently, so here it is again. It's probably not gonna do much else, but hopefully this little momentum spark (largely from Bobby Bones) prompts Curb to get a new single out there within the next few weeks. Lots of artists release singles after CRS but unfortunately the adds calendar for February is really packed, and that makes it really hard for a new artist to work his/her/their way up the charts. Curb, if you're reading this, I think a late February/early March adds date for Mo's next single would be a good idea...

They need to just go for it and release that song about loving a dog. I know someone posted the demo somewhere on Pulse once. These safe songs don't seem to be doing much, but maybe a song that really moved the audience would make a bigger impact.

I love Mo and "Just A Dog" is easily my favorite song of his but its just too strong for regular consumption in todays radio market. Which sounds crazy coming from me as I love sad and/or dark songs. But with the way todays country listener has been programmed to listen to nothing but fluffy , happy (& goofy) ditties about beer & good times , a song like this would send listeners plunging their cars off bridges during the morning commute. Maybe its just cause I'm a big ol' dog lover and Ive lived that song a few times but I've even got to be in the mood (and usually a little drunk) to listen to JAD. That being said , "Clean Up In Aisle Five" might work though....

Yeah I mean "Just A Dog" may be my favorite song I've heard from him so far but it also left me crying uncontrollably so I don't know if radio can handle that. "Clean Up On Aisle Five" is a lot closer to what I think radio would play from him. I just hope he gets his album out, I think it'll sell really well vs. his airplay. There's an audience for his style of music that isn't getting hardly any releases geared towards them so he'll fill a niche.
