This song is flipping fantastic. Absolute earworm! I still love the way the hook is introduced so much and I love the production and Lauren's vocals are definitely both strong and playful on this track. This is probably her strongest single yet and I really hope this finally breaks her! <3

Love this. Love love love this. It's right along the lines of "Love Me Like You Mean It", but not enough to be deemed a copy-cat. I've already expressed my adoration for the song itself, as well as her, and I'm just so happy that we're finally getting new studio recordings from her.
Related to the album, for those of you who are interested: "Same Day, Different Bottle" will be on it. "Breakdown" missed the cut, unfortunately.

Hummm... don't know 100% how I feel about this one. It's not bad but a bit "uneventful" I guess, or just a bit generic... like, it doesn't go anywhere and could've been sung by any other artist. I think she has a lot of potential vocally but the kind of artist she is and the material she's been given is so lacking that makes it no surprise she's struggling to breakout even after a hug platform like Idol.

If it makes a difference, this song wasn't "given" to her, she wrote it. Also, have you listened to her debut album? Because I have to disagree with the "lacking" material point that you make. The material she's been releasing (minus "Barefoot and Buckwild") has been stellar, in my opinion. There were a few tracks on the debut that could have easily been Grammy and "Song of the Year" winners if they were given their deserved exposure... That's just how I feel, though, I can't speak for others, but I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.

I haven't listened to her album in full, just the singles she's released to radio (plus a couple of random tracks), and those were really average to me. Just to clarify, when I said they were "lacking", I wasn't saying they were horrible songs. What I meant was that she has no personal "style" of performing her songs or a "signature sound" (for a lack of better words) that makes her stand out, at least to me. I just tried to correlate that to her lack of success, but it's just my 2 cents as a listener. I didn't mean to offend her fans. btw, sorry for any English mistakes since it's not my first language!

Those she's been singing on her radio tour must be like confirmed, right? I've been dying to hear a studio version of Breakdown, too bad it won't be on the album. That song is amazing! But I'm glad about Same Day, Different Bottle.

As for the production, I really like it. I think the song is perfect for radio, with a nice hook and catchy melody. Let's not forget Lauren is just about to turn 21! She came out really young and although I've never been a real big fan, I'm really enjoying to see her growth.

I love it! I think this is a perfect example of modern pop country done right. This song would lend itself to poppier production very easily, yet they kept it sounding wonderfully country. And her vocals in the last chorus...WOW!

Wow! Didn't care for her when she was on American Idol. Her first album was was good but didn't make me a fan. HOWEVER, I think this song might hook me. I'm glad she let her vocals take the focus on this one.

This is her best single she has released. I am surprised I am not seeing the same reaction to this as The Band Perry's new single, because they both sound straight pop to me. I love her voice and even though I don't adore this song, I think it's very solid and I hope it does well for her.

I am surprised I am not seeing the same reaction to this as The Band Perry's new single, because they both sound straight pop to me. The Band Perry had a massive amount of build-up to their single and they are much, much bigger stars in terms of radio success than Lauren is (I still recall a lot of people liking "Live Forever" in that thread, before the negativity spoke up...I was in the latter). Lauren's got a lot of fans from her exposure on American Idol but I'm not surprised there hasn't been the same reaction as "Live Forever." I agree that this is more of a pop song than a county song. I'm a complete sucker for her voice though, so I do wish her success but this one isn't that great to me.
