From Beauty Behind The Madness. I'm not seeing this one come up in mentions so much, but I adore it. The production during the verses is scorching hot. The refrain has been stuck in my head all day. Urban smash for sure.

Ah so this is "Girls Born In the 90s". I was wondering why that was missing.

This is supposedly the next urban single. I think he should have released "Tell Your Friends" there first, but this should do pretty well too.

This isn't a terrible song, but... why? Why not send "In The Night" instead?

"Acquainted" is still my favorite song on the album and the only one I still have in rotation at all, tbh.

I wouldn't be surprised if In The Night is sent anyway when it goes to Pop; what is surprising that they didn't announce an adds date for Urban as well.

I really like this, I'm hoping the last 2 minutes gets cut off if it were to become a single.
Edit: I noticed it has an adds date, hopefully it has a good radio edit.

Yeah, it's not exactly great, but I wasn't saying that because of the quality of the song, it's because it's doing great on Pop right now (should be mid 60s/high 70s), so why not just send it to both formats?

AllAccess is listing now that "In the Night" will impact the Rhythmic format next week. That said, a dual release is not going to happen so far.

In The Night will probably not go farther than the lower end of the Top 10 on Urban, so when it stalls this can be sent? I like that idea.

Rhythmic is not Urban. I'm sure this is still an Urban single even if the scale is tipping in the Pop direction for Rhythmic. I know that, but I should have specified that I was referring to the CHR/Pop and Rhythmic formats instead of the Rhythmic and Urban ones when I mentioned the 'dual release' thing, so sorry for the misunderstanding. As a side note, I don't follow the Urban format, so I guess "Acquainted" is getting some airplay there because of Live Your Life's comment that it's supposedly to be the next single in this format, as well as yours, despite the track hasn't been sent there or it isn't under CNM on AllAccess as far as I know. However, when I saw that the only confirmation that it was going to be pushed to the Rhythmic format got pulled in favour of "In the Night", I requested this thread to be moved back to the Non-Radio Singles & Album Tracks forum, as I also did a while ago when it was there and I requested to be moved here when the Rhythmic adds were posted on AllAccess. That said, I assume Kurt did the former because of the above comment and I think I shouldn't have jumped on it because of the aforementioned.

This was never being sent officially to Urban though. Only a Rhythmic push had been planned.

Honestly, they probably never expected The Hills to take off on Pop on its own. Like pretty much everyone. I wouldn't be surprised if the original plan was to sent In The Night simultaneously to Pop and Rhythmic around the time Can't Feel My Face started to fall and have that be the fall/winter hit, and then follow with this for Urban and Rhythmic around this time. With what's happened, I think this is just getting pushed back naturally so it doesn't interfere with In The Night (which is both Rhythmic friendly and Pop friendly).
They should absolutely send this to Urban and Rhythmic though after In The Night. It's an obvious single for those formats. Pop would do well with Prisoner, and maybe HAC too. And Dark Times as a UK only release to justify it being on the album.

They might as well send In The Night to urban, it won't go #1 there, but it can get airplay, and they could do a hip hop remix of it too. I just don't see any point in The Weeknd doing dual releases tbh. If The Hills was never promoted to pop radio it probably wouldn't have got #1. Also, if they do a dual release it's possible that rhythmic will play the urban single (like Drunk In Love instead of XO), especially since rhythmic is less pop and more urban than a few years ago, whilst if they release one song to all formats it's another likely airplay #1 (and possible Hot 100 #1) for The Weeknd, since In The Night can go #1 on pop and rhythmic and top 10 on HAC and urban.

This is holding up surprisingly well. It looks like the In The Night dual release might work, after all.
If he pulls another CFMF/The Hills... Not that it's likely. But...
