Adele is gonna debut at the triple point of The Hills.. Btw.. How high will Sorry debut? #2? #10? #4, I think. Strong enough to beat Stitches and WIldest Dreams but not enough to beat Hotline Bling or The Hills.

Anyone think The Hills might pull a Rude and fall 1-5? Is it even possible? The hills have eyes! (Worse case scenario #4 next week)

NPR did an article on Drake's #1 slipping through his fingers: www.npr.org/sections/therecord/2015/10/27/452248402/drakes-hotline-bling-aims-at-no-1-and-misses-whyThe "Hotline Bling" video, which was originally only posted on Apple Music, proved to be endlessly remixable, with Drake seeming to be in on the joke — or at the very least, more or less cheerfully resigned to its destiny. A meme doesn't always make a No. 1 hit, though. Billboard confirmed for us this morning that Apple does not report its video streams to Nielsen Music, whose statistics determine the Billboard charts. As Silvio Pietroluongo, Billboard's vice president of charts and data development, pointed out to me in an email this morning, they don't know the volume of views that "Hotline Bling" actually had on Apple — and if those numbers would have been enough to squeeze The Weeknd out of his month-long stretch at No. 1 with "The Hills." At any rate, Adele's "Hello" is now in stratospheric ascent — garnering nearly 90 million views and counting on YouTube since its release on Oct. 22, in contrast to Drake's 900,000 count. So it seems that "Hotline Bling" won't be the arrow that gets Drake to his target, despite its omnipresence in GIFs. Maybe Drake's disappointment serves as a little bit of a cautionary tale for other artists: The streaming platform you choose just might decide your chart fate.

Anyone think The Hills might pull a Rude and fall 1-5? Is it even possible? The hills have eyes! (Worse case scenario #4 next week) I think The Hills will go to 4 and Hotline Bling will be #3. Nothing else besides Drake, Adele and JB can beat it.

Since no one is answering my question in the General Chart Procedures thread, I will post it here:
I dont know much when it comes to this so can you help me figure this out
How do the weekly points add up and what websites can I find the points for each category?
I don't understand where to find the airplay because I never have the right website for it. Where do I find the YouTube and Spotify weekly stats?
Can someone give an example of a song and take it's streaming, sales, and airplay points and add them together because I am lost.
Please answer in good detail so I can understand this.

Well... I don't think billboard.com is gonna let slip most song's weekly points, it's sort of privy, man! And...as far as I know, the newest billboard formula has been sales/12 + airplay/10,000 audience impression + streams/900 though it's not explicitly posted, the points of songs that in mid/low hot 100 are good to be estimated like: #80 aggregates about 5k points while #50 around 8-9k, #30 about 11k-12k, #20 15k and #10 19-22k in average. The point of the #1 of each week should be calculated directly out of the three components data from billboard article each week. It roughly varies from 38k-60k in general (Adele can make 140k this week!) As for airplay, you can go to kworb.net and click on "radio" and then "overall AI", then you should have a general idea of what songs radio hits are though it's a different methodology from billboard's which can result in some disparity but largely it's just for the general idea..

Daniel Collins, do you recall the record for most Hot 100 points scored by a song in any given week? Also correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't (dare I say it) H****m S***e currently own that record?

(dare I say it) H****m S***e what Harlem Shake. I understand a lot of people here get REALLY upset when they hear that song title being stated (because of the overall dislike of the song here and the mass amount of streaming giving it 5 weeks at #1).

I'll say that "Jumpman" will hit the Top 10. Drake, ADELE, and Bieber's eras are off to a great start(Even though HB is just a single, it's still a surefire start to "Views From The 6").

Dude, you're wrong, in the chart's 57-year history Elton John's Candle In The Wind 1997/Something About The Way You Look Tonight is the record holder.. This princess Diana tribute song in 1997 sold more than 3,500,000 physical copies in its debut week (physical sales were generally smaller than digital ones nowadays)!! And convert to the point system at this point it's gonna be more than 700k I guess.. (Harlem Shake only made about 200k in the 2013 point system where YouTube was just added as a component) You know Candle In the Wind was the #1 song of 1997 spending less then 10 weeks that year?

This could be the first week with two debuts on the top 2? iirc, Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard once debuted at #1&2 simultaneously.

I can't believe Jumpman is still climbing. I feel like it's been a while since an album track went top 10. Was the last one Dark Horse or was it already confirmed as a single by the time it got top 10?

Likely chance that 6 of the top 10 songs are Canadian. If Jumpman gets in, make it 7.

Was the last one Dark Horse or was it already confirmed as a single by the time it got top 10? Dark Horse was released as a single on December 17, 2013. That same week, Dark Horse was #36 on the Hot 100 in its 12th week. The week after it became a single, it vaulted 36-22 in its 13th week. So no, it was not top 10 when confirmed as a single, sorry.

Not sure about #5, #6 though, WDYM has gained since the release of Sorry I think What Do You Mean should easily get #5, it is having random sales gains this week and other than that, they are gaining the same amount as they were last week. Not enough for Stitches to pass What Do You Mean. Especially with JB's new album coming up
