^ Alright, go ahead then. If your priority is trashing other people, bringing them down, and this somehow makes you happy and is fulfilling for you, go ahead, nothing is stopping you.

Album Rankings: 1. 20/20 Part I 2. Justified 3. FS/LS 4. MOTW 5. 20/20 Part II You've had me listening through his discography again. I think you nailed it. 20/20 Part I has held up so well. The only song I don't use is "Spaceship Coupe." Lovely instrumental and vibe, but those lyrics... I can't get around them. Justified is pretty fluffy, but it's all good vibes and it's the least heavy of all of his albums. He needs to be fun like that again. FS/LS has career-defining highlights, but there's way more filler on there than I remember and some of the production isn't nearly as fresh as it was at the time. I think I've made my opinions on MOTW pretty clear, a mixed bag in it's current form, could use a really strong edit. And I forgot what a complete dud 20/20 Part II is. Half of that album is unusable (can someone please tell me how "True Blood" even exists?).

Being anxious and looking strung out does not mean he's on meth or coke. He smokes a lot of weed to help his anxiety, he has said that for years. He is a new dad with a baby up at strange hours, everyone hates him, and since The 20/20 Experience he has been aging poorly without botox. He is whiter than snow with pale undertones and probably spent a lot of time in the tanning salon. He is looking a little chubbier now too, most of that small muscle mass from past eras is gone. I love how I went into this thinking you were going to drag me but you just ended up dragging him instead As for the tears from stans in this thread, I get me/the internet/world have been doing the most this era but it's so fun we just can't help it. If your biggest defence against him is he isn't the worst person in the world that speaks for itself. Trash music/personality/looks = please delete. No one is killing him, he's doing better than any of us ever will (besides me the one and only Janet Jackson) let us enjoy dragging his ass, by all accounts the stans know he deserves it. When you feel bad for him think of all the women and POC that have had their careers ruined over sexist racist bullsh*t, and all the women/POC (britney, Prince, Janet) he's tried to come for/destroy before! trust me this will all start to seem a lot less unfair :sip2: Trashing people because it’s “so fun” sounds like a pretty sad way to go through life and you’re just perpetuating exactly what you’re criticizing him for. Pretty shameful I think, but whatever makes you happy. I’m not defending him and I acknowledged his behavior.

So I've had more time to digest this album and while I agree with some of the comments here on its middling quality I do feel that there is a solid album in here. It just needs an edit.
I would have kept the album title the same (or maybe Higher) but gone with a nice solid 10 song set instead. Keeping "Supplies" only for its great bridge so it'd be something like this (LP version):
Side I
1. Man Of The Woods 2. Say Something (ft. Chris Stapleton) 3. Higher Higher 4. Montana 5. Breeze Off The Pond
Side II
6. Midnight Summer Jam 7. Supplies 8. Morning Light (ft. Alicia Keys) 9. The Hard Stuff 10. Young Man
"Filthy" though I enjoy it just doesn't fit and I would have forgone most of the aesthetic he went for in the roll-out including that ugly album cover. First single should have been "Say Something" with only "Man Of The Woods" as the additional promo video (cause it's cute, there I said it).

I was looking for Justin. But thanks for clearing that up. I see "Say Something" with that big old red down arrow right next to it.

I put it on from start to finish and I could deal without: Damn Girl, Losing My Way, Pose, and if I'm being honest, Summer Love and Sexy Ladies haven't really aged well. FutureSex/Love Sound, SexyNeverLeft, My Love, LoveStoned/I Think She Knows (especially with that Interpol rip-off of an epilogue), What Goes Around...Comes Around Interlude (the interlude steals the show), Chop Me Up, and Another Song (All Over Again) are easily career highlights though. As for Spaceship Coupe, the vibe and production are so fucking hot (and the SING TO ME! is cute), so I legit love it, lyrics be damned. Justified's lyrics, upon reinspection, are actually just as bad as MOTW, to be honest. Nothin' Else legit makes zero sense and Like I Love You is a jam, but the lyrics are...odd. What the fuck is a colorful face?? I like 20/20 Pt II at first actually, but its parent album puts it to shame so much, it's not even funny. The track lengths in Pt. I actually HELP the album; in Pt. II...the opposite. Meanwhile, I guess MOTW continues to grow on me. If I just put it on and let it play, I find myself grooving and swaying or whatever. It would make a better instrumental album than probably most of his others.

So it's ok to trash Justin for the last 10 pages of this thread, yet the moment someone makes a slightly snide remark at Janet, there's an immediate explosion of sympathy for her Highness "Queen of Pop" Jackson. It's amazing how much of the public is just now complaining that her sales and career suffered after nipplegate while Justin's didn't, but isn't this same public responsible for not buying her music?

I don't like how people loves to hate some artists. 2016/17 Taylor and Katy, this year Justin. I don't like Justin but I love his music and I'm not defending him I just don't understand this amount of hate..If he's guilty karma will get him. You can't change what's already happened by posting this. Just listen to her iconic songs and wait for her new stuff.

Only liked 2 songs total - Say Something which is great and Breeze Off the Pond which is just okay.

What the f**k is a colorful face?? I like 20/20 Pt II at first actually, but its parent album puts it to shame so much, it's not even funny. The track lengths in Pt. I actually HELP the album; in Pt. It would make a better instrumental album than probably most of his others. Speaking of the datedness of some of FS/LS, I remember when "Love Sex Magic" came out and it was such an obvious cast-off from that album, it sounded stale at the time. Now that song sounds fresher to me than some of FS/LS. And OMG, the lyrics on his debut. But he was young and dumb back then. The whole thing sounds so naïve and newbie-ish, it's part of the albums charm (speaking of charm, what the f**k is that line in "Senorita," I can tell by his charm... is the bitch wearing a bracelet?). And the production on MOTW is superb give or take two or three tracks. It really could have been a great album with a stronger hand guiding it.

Even though FS/LS is my favorite of his albums, 20/20 Part 1 is a lot more cohesive as a body. FS/LS did have a ton of filler (about half actually) but the high points were extremely high.
This actually isn't a bad album moreso that it's just boring. I like "Wave" "Sauce" "Say Something" and "Midnight Summer Dream" but not enough to keep revisiting or remember this in about a month.

That UK opening is abysmal and also interesting that none of his previous albums reached top 100 after SB. Compared to Gaga who had two albums in top 40 even in the UK.

The font!!

The font!! lol...I know, it’s basic as f**k. I spent like a minute on it. That said, I still like it better than the official cover.

^ Oh I'm sorry I didn't know it was yours, haha. Yeah I think a lot of the images themselves have been good this era. Just sort of incongruous with the music itself.

Of course position is sort of ok, but the sales (19k) not, way less than TGS which is #1 for 5th week and also not much above Ed Sheeran's year old album and Simple Minds.

I still like it better than the official cover. I like these I especially like the last one. If I were more savy I’d use the font from that pic on the pic I used. The first pic you posted is nice too.

The Target cover is so much better than the original: Why does it look like a poster to a prequel of The Blairwitch Project though?

I watched the Superbowl performance twice and I thought Justin was great. lol. I liked that most of it it was focused on him and I liked the song selection. Even though "Until The End Of Time" wasn't huge I still liked that part of the set. Maybe it's because it was kind of what I expected. Though instead of Chris Stapelton we got a Prince duet. He doesn't usually put on a huge spectacle and costume changes etc and I don't mind that. My friend who is a big fan thought his dancers looked messy but thought he was good. She thought the staging and stuff was kind of disorganized. A friend from church expected more from "Mr JT". lol I thought he was good. Maybe not my favorite of all time but still good.
However if people hadn't heard "Filthy" before it was probably a bad idea to distort the vocals for the live perforance. I heard a couple of complaints that the sound was awful and I have a feeling they may have not been familar with that song.
