KEEY in Minneapolis (iHeartMedia) added "Beer Can In A Truck Bed" this week, so I'm assuming that's the likely candidate for the next single since KEEY is iHeartMedia owned and they usually are among the first for adding new singles.

Eh I'm not a fan of that one. I hope "Wrong Turns" is next. I'd love it if "Nowhere Fast" was a terrestrial radio single but due to all of it's Sirius XM/Highway airplay I don't know if it would ever be released to terrestrial radio. I feel like I should mention something about "Snapback" since this is the "Snapback" thread after all. This song definitely grew on me. Still not a fan of the lyrics but it's got a catchy melody and production and I enjoy the guitar solo at the end.

I just heard this on WGAR for the first time, and I must say I don't like it at all. Rarely do I dislike a song on first listen, but this is one of those times. The beginning of the chorus seemed like it had potential but then all of a sudden this "in your snapback" line that just seems out of place and isn't catchy at all. Pretty disappointed. Add me to the list of people who have grown to like this song. Still not my favorite, but I find myself singing it all the time.

That song, which is actually making fun of the bro country tropes, was in consideration for #2 but they didn't want another sing-song-y kind of song second. I still think "Till Its Over" would make a great single (since "Said Nobody" can't go because of Jana), but I'd be ok with the fan favorite "Beer Can" as #3 from this record.

It seems "Snapback" is another sing-along song that was a predictable radio-fodder, friendly choice for radio.
The guitar is pleasant on this song but the amount of "whoa oh's" put me to sleep.

I've actually, rather randomly, heard "Said Nobody" multiple times on the radio before in the recent months during "Snapback"'s run, but like rsmatto pointed out, I doubt that one gets released now given that its title bares such a similarity to Jana's latest release.

"We Got It Right," is the best song they have recorded. I hope that is released at some point.

So, The Highway's been spinning "Song For Another Time" the past 2-3 weeks.... ...could this be? An Old Dominion song I actually enjoy? I sincerely hope that's the third single and not "Beer Can In A Truck Bed."

"Song for Another Time" is really great and I'm betting if The Highway is spinning it, it's gonna be next. These guys have a true knack for creating engaging melodies. Man how I just wish they'd at least attempt to honor the country style.

Not because I dislike "Beer Can" but because this song is the one they Added to the album last minute so they clearly love it.

I listened through the album from start to finish a while ago and not gonna lie, it was hard to get through since there's a lot of junk on there. But man, how did I miss this one? I think I just zoned out after a while. This is an excellent tune. Surprised it didn't stick out to me. I will be very disappointed if it's not next.

Early prediction for these guys is a CMA award nomination for Best New Artist. Honestly it will be between them and Kelsea Ballerini. So far they are the only 2 new acts besides Chase Bryant with 2 top 10 singles. If "Snapback" hits #1 them and Kelsea will be the only 2 new acts with 2 #1's. When was the last time we had a new artist hit #1 with their first 2 singles? Maybe I'm wrong but the only artist I remember doing this was Clay Walker but I'm sure it's been done since him. I'm talking Billboard #1's too. Anyways I'm hoping to hear "Half Empty" released as a single. "Beer Can In A Truck Bed" would be alright too.

I think Florida Georgia Line's first two songs hit the top. Sam Hunt is another one, and well that's probably about it.

Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Clay Walker, Faith Hill........I'm drawing a blank now....

Brooks & Dunn, Darius Rucker, and Easton Corbin can be added to this list. Also, Brantley Gilbert's first two major label-releases went to #1. He had a few 'singles' before "Country Must Be Country Wide", but that was back when he was on the Average Joes Entertainment label and those 'singles' were basically secondary radio and digital-only singles. They were never promoted to mainstream country radio. I'm sure there are a few others -- these examples are just off the top of my head :)

I know you guys specified Billboard. {Spoiler} Precedes to get tomatoes thrown in my direction for working in some more R&R factoids.

I'm sure there are a few others -- these examples are just off the top of my head :) I could be wrong but wasn't "Kick It In The Sticks" released as Brantley's first radio single? It seems like I remember them saying it was a re-release to radio after "Country Must Be Country Wide" and "You Don't Know Her Like I Do" topped the chart. Anyways excluding Brantley here are the 11 artists to have their first 2 singles go #1. Brooks & Dunn, Wynonna, Clay Walker, Faith Hill, Deana Carter, Jamie O' Neal, Darius Rucker, Easton Corbin, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt and Kelsea Ballerini. This is the airplay era only. Actually Old Dominion wouldn't be in this list anyways if "Snapback" reaches #1. If I'm not mistaken their first single was "Shut Me Up" and it peaked at #58. So the only eligible act would be Granger Smith if "If The Boot Fits" ever climbs to the top.

Is it their first single off a debut album? Their first single that charts? I mean if the first single from a debut album is what they specify then Old Dominion, Granger Smith and even Canaan Smith (he charted with "We Got Us, which peaked at #44 on BB) could be added to the list. jhomes87 has made a good case about Brantley though as he could be in the list. I'm just questioning "Kick It In The Sticks" with him as it says its a re-release to radio everywhere I look.

I don't have numbers at the moment but there's a reason I only brought up Joe.

My biggest question is what does Billboard specify as a debut single for an artist? Is it their first single off a debut album? Their first single that charts? I mean if the first single from a debut album is what they specify then Old Dominion, Granger Smith and even Canaan Smith (he charted with "We Got Us, which peaked at #44 on BB) could be added to the list. jhomes87 has made a good case about Brantley though as he could be in the list. I'm just questioning "Kick It In The Sticks" with him as it says its a re-release to radio everywhere I look. Billboard most likely goes by whether or not the song in question was released to radio and promoted as an actual single. And so I think Old Dominion would probably count (if "Snapback" goes #1), since "Shut Me Up" was only independently released as a 'single' -- in other words, there was no label that promoted "Shut Me Up" to radio. Canaan Smith definitely doesn't count, though, since "We Got Us" was a promoted single (by Mercury Nashville). As for Brantley, his case is more of a gray area, and again, that's mostly because Average Joes Entertainment (the label he was originally signed to) did release a few singles to radio, but they only promoted them to secondary radio stations. Some sources would probably say "Country Must Be Country Wide" was his debut single, but it appears that Billboard counts the singles released by Average Joes as official singles. Granger Smith is another interesting one -- I don't think he would count (if "If The Boot Fits" goes #1) since he has been independently releasing albums and singles since the 90's and he, like Brantley, was at least on a small label for a few years prior to signing with BBRMG/Wheelhouse. So we can't add Brantley to the list and I don't think Granger would be eligible either, but I'm thinking that Billboard will count Old Dominion as an artist whose first two singles went to #1 (again, this is assuming that "Snapback" manages to make it to #1).

I'm wondering if this one can make it to #1 on Billboard. Chris & Cassadee are falling now (they tried for a second week but I think it became abundantly clear that wasn't going to happen). But honestly I'm starting to think Dierks Bentley is going to spend a few weeks at the top since "Black" doesn't come out for a few weeks yet and well Dierks doesn't host CCUSA til this weekend. I think Dierks is going to spend 2 weeks at the top (this week then next week) and by the time Dierks has wrapped up his reign at the top, I think Dustin Lynch "Mind Reader" might have fully caught up by then so I'm not too sure if Old Dominion can hit #1, if you want my opinion I think Old Dominion should make the move for the top this week as I don't imagine they can outwait Dierks for two weeks.
