I think "I Know A Guy" would be a good choice. I would LOVE for "Sober Saturday Night" to get released but it does seem unlikely...I figure they will go with something more upbeat so either "Heartbeat" or "You Do the Talkin'" will be next.

I hope they release "I Know a Guy" and "You Do the Talkin'" as the third and fourth singles (in either order). I have a good feeling they'll choose at least one of those. I would also love to see "Sober Saturday Night" but I'm also doubting its chances.

Just thinking about what the third single should be reminds me how disappointing the album was. "Heartbeat", "Alone Tonight", and "Sunshine Overtime" are some of the most generic songs in recent memory. "I Know A Guy" and "Sober Saturday Night" would be my picks for third and fourth single respectively, but watch out for "What If I Stay" to get released. It sneakily has the most Spotify streams of any album track and it has a certain "Die A Happy Man" sound to it. Anything other than those three songs would just be completely forgettable.
As for "Think Of You", I liked it better when it first came out. Chris and Cassadee's voices blend pretty well together. I've just grown a little tired of it lately. Chris' last two singles have me wishing for a return to his more traditional side from his first three albums.

Dierks is doing very well. I think he (his label) wants the n. 1 (and a multiple weeks at 1) as early as next week when FGL course will collapse. Obviously Chris will still have a couple of weeks at least of max spins (next two weeks ... but it will be a tough fight (with Old Dominon half). Your prediction?

Chris has been getting top 5 conversions the past few days, so they've been keeping pretty level at best. I don't think next week will be as easily tied up by Dierks as some do, at least not on Mediabase.

I do think Chris has a great chance of getting the MB #1, as of today I have Dierks with about a 900k lead for BB (I have yet to factor in Westwood One). I do kind of want Dierks to block Chris/Cassadee as I so badly want some multi week #1s somehow.

I'd think you'd like the duet more but I could be wrong (it HAS happened before, haha).

It turns out this might be going #1 this coming week!
It gained 228 spins today on MB to move past Dierks, and I don't know if I've seen a single day spin increase this big for a song that is moving into the #1 position (maybe I have but it must be pretty rare I'm assuming)...

This one has grown on me a ton. The chorus is so catchy. And good lyrics.

As expected, RCA and Republic are going for #1 this week: "Think Of You" trails "Somewhere On A Beach" by only 750k on tonight's Billboard chart, and so with FGL already falling, I think it's likely that Chris and Cassadee will finish this week at #1. The only question that remains is whether this will be #1 on both charts or just on Mediabase. If the labels only push through Saturday, then Chris and Cassadee will probably only get the Mediabase #1 and Dierks will probably get the Billboard #1. But if RCA and Republic keep pushing through Sunday, then I do believe that this can finish ahead of Dierks on both charts.

After seeing Chris Young come up short on BB #1s so many times over the past few years, I really hope they push for a #1 on both charts. It also would be nice to see because I vastly prefer his song to Dierks' and it would also be cool to see Cassadee Pope accomplish her first #1 hit on both as well.

This does look more and more likely to get the BB #1. But my gosh, this song is probably going to gain about 1000 spins and I'm sorry but I can't help but shake my head in disappointment as I hate when labels just have these huge updates. It makes it feel less like a #1 and more like a song and label forcing radio to make their song a #1 (that's why I didn't really like it when "Dibs" "Love You Like That" and "Love Me Like You Mean It" had their huge pushes).
I honestly hope Dierks Bentley can hit #1 this week and spend a few weeks at the top. Dierks song is more of a hit, I happen to prefer Dierks song over Chris Young and Cassadee Pope. Also I want more multi week #1s (the only multi week #1s on BB as of late I can think of are "You Should Be Here" "Die A Happy Man" "Home Alone Tonight" "I'm Coming Over" "Homegrown" "Save It For A Rainy Day" and "Strip It Down").

No, there's a push to the top spot and them there's unnaturally gaining over 1000 spins in a week. I don't mind pushing but it just seems odd a label is going to pump that much into a song being #1. But whatever, that's my view on the whole thing maybe I'm wrong for thinking that way but oh well.

This one has never not looked like a deserving #1 hit, so I don't see anything at all wrong with this being pushed to the top like it currently is. I don't like when songs like "Love You Like That" get astronomically inflated pushes to reach #1 when it's obvious that without them they wouldn't have gotten there, but "Think of You" has been absolutely performing on track with being a #1 hit since the moment it was released. "I'm Comin' Over" took about 6-7 months to hit the top, while this one is knocking on the door of #1 in literally half the time. There's nothing about this one hitting the top that feels manufactured or cheapened to me at all.

I agree that the push this one received this week made me roll my eyes once again. Especially since it's obvious Dierks and his team didn't even try to challenge it. While the s one was always a big hit, I still don't like seeing these massive pushes. Plus, it's probably going to spend less time on the top 5 now since radio will be dropping this one significantly next week. So in the end it might get less total AirPlay as a result.

I wouldn't be too sure that Dierks isn't challenging. "Somewhere On A Beach" got the hottest song honor which if Chris & Cassadee have a negative update Monday Dierks has his opening especially since Chris will be losing his CCUSA spins in Monday's update. Manufactured pushes are ones where songs are gaining freaking 1.5 in audience a day and over 100 spins a day. That's a label going overboard for a song and that's what's happening this week with "Think Of You".

Will be my pleasure to move Chris Young from #98 to #81 on the list of those artists with the most #1 hits. Will also be a pleasure to say Cassadee Pope has landed her first chart topping hit.

So I've been working on my chart predictions (they'll be out later tonight). Anyway after applying Westwood One and the ratios at which how muc Mediabase audience translates to Billboard audience. Chris & Cassadee are actually neck and neck with Dierks as I have about 450k in audience difference between the two (Chris in the lead). If you add in the fact Chris and Cassadee Pope will be losing their CCUSA spins while Dierks, who was the hottest song will be getting a boost in Monday's update. Tomorrow's update I think will be key to see who hits the top, as I see both possibly hitting the top. I do find myself very excited about the outcome regardless.

Chris and Cassadee and Corey Crowder tweeted earlier today that the song went #1 on Mediabase. I'm seeing it all over social media. They are all pretty happy about it. I'm personally hoping they get the BB #1 as well.

Really hoping Sober Saturday Night is next. He could go with the extremely bland Sunshine Overtime/Heartbeat/Alone Tonight/You Do The Talkin, but SSN is going to be huge. Would love to see him go with that and then release new stuff...though I doubt it.

Chris mentioned at the Stagecoach Music Festival this past Friday night, that SSN will most likely be a single.

I still think "I Know a Guy" would be a hit too, but SSN has Song of the Year potential imo. I do agree that the other choices on the album are pretty vanilla, but with the success he's having so far I just feel like this will be a 5 single album.

Good for them, look I know this song has been a pretty decent sized hit, I'd be lying if I said it wasn't. But I just want more multi week #1s. I'm so sick and tired of the you get a #1 and then the next week another song gets number one. That's why I honestly didn't really care when songs like "Little Toy Guns" "Buy Me A Boat" "John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16" "I Love This Life" "Drinking Class" "Homegrown Honey" "Stay A Little Longer" "Let Me See Ya Girl" "Gonna Know We Were Here" "Breakup In A Smalltown" and "Something In The Water" (I said it and I stand by it) missed the top on BB. I honestly like seeing songs ruling the top for a while and possibly blocking some #1 songs at the same time, like the songs that got blocked as mentioned above. I really do want to see some multi week #1s this summer as outside of "Sangria" blocking "Little Toy Guns" there wasn't a block that happened last summer (unless you count "Girl Crush" somehow completely missing the top as that and "Burning House" are the lone exceptions to my statement).

When you compare Think of You and Somewhere on a Beach, they're almost equally sized hits though. Think of You has been on Mediabase for two days longer than SOAB, and they're at similar levels in terms of sales. Dierks has a slight edge in sales and streaming, but it's not a large enough advantage that suddenly makes Think of You unworthy of the #1. I agree the push last week was a little ridiculous, but the two songs have been tracking almost identically for their entire chart runs.
