Adele has trended upwards the last 2 weeks from HITS predictions, so I'll say it'll be closer to 800k than 650k. Still, Adele is a monster and her NBC special is coming up Monday.
If she's on for at least 650k this week. NBC special boost + increased album sales from being closer to Christmas could put her near or over the million mark again next week and then Christmas week she'll surely do another million. *_*

Jesus. If those numbers hold, she will easily pass 1989's total sales in 4 weeks. She makes it look too easy.

Any other predictions for previously released albums?
(I actually only care about Storyteller by Carrie Underwood)

Yeah that's a dreadful start for Babyface and Jeremih. I'm not sure what to think about Kudi, given what it is, but even that's projected better. I'd put Coldplay as a disappointment as well, it being billed as their final album (which likely won't happen) should have given it a bigger weight imo.
Impressive for Springsteen though given how expensive it is. And another incredible week for Adele. Could she possibly flirt with a million again in the X-mas rush & gift card period?

She could possibly flirt with it this week as well. The NBC Special is this Monday so it will have 3 days from that effect.

TOP 15: ADELE JUGGERNAUT HEADS FOR 5M MARK Adele is about to surpass 5 million in only her third week of release—so, you know, business as usual. Here’s how the Top 15 looks at midweek. Adele 25 (XL/Columbia) 625-650k Sales, 665-690k SPS *Coldplay (Parlophone) 190-200k, 200-210k Pentatonix That’s Christmas To Me (RCA) 115-120k, 125-130k *G-Eazy (RCA) 100-105k, 128-133k Justin Bieber (Def Jam) 73-77k, 143-147k *Troye Sivan (Capitol) 57-62k, 63-68k *Rick Ross (Def Jam) 48-53k, 55-60k Chris Stapleton (Mercury Nashville) 41-45k, 48-52k One Direction (SYCO/Columbia) 36-40k, 57-61k Michael Bublé (Reprise) 30-34k, 43-47k Chris Tomlin (sixsteprecords) 30-34k, 30-34k Now 56 (Now/Legacy) 28-32k, 28-32k Adele 21 (XL/Columbia) 24-28k, 32-36k Taylor Swift (Big Machine/BMLG) 23-27k, 30-34k Pentatonix Pentatonix (RCA) 23-26k, 27-30k hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=298833

Not bad numbers all around.
What are the chances of 1D passing 1 million in sales by the end of the year?

Not bad numbers all around. What are the chances of 1D passing 1 million in sales by the end of the year? I would think generally non-existent. If these numbers hold, they'll be at 575-580k with 3 weeks to go. That means they would need to average 140k/week to hit a million by 1/1. Bieber, on the other hand, will fly by. He'll be past 900k this week and I assume will hold well with the heat of Christmas still to come. At the low end of these estimates, 25 will be 5.116 million in 3 weeks. Which is incredible. 21 is holding up well, to say the least. It will pass 11.3 million this week. Great for Pentatonix. And G-Eazy. And Michael Buble. And Chris Stapleton.

What did Babyface's last cd sell. I wasn't expecting too much from him.
Does Jeremiah have a hit on radio now? I know he has a song called "OUI" which I think is doing ok but "Don't Tell Em'" was ages ago and I think that would have been a better choice to sell his cd. The numbers should have been a bit higher but does he even have a big fanbase or online presence? I didn't even realize his cd came out. lol

It's on track to sell well over 200k in the UK, and doing amazing in Europe and Latin America too. They will never flop. But yes that's really good for Bruce, he's bringing in almost as much revenue as Coldplay considering his album is $100.

Coldplay #s aren't surprising. I swear the album just appeared out of nowhere with next to no hype or build up like their eras usually have.
25 could still hit 7m by New Year's. 10m by the summer for sure.

Yes, Coldplay over 200k! Now make it 250k and it's ok! Another platinum seller for them.

Anything can happen (and long long term, sure) but I feel like they'll sell 700-800k by the end of next year and then eventually get there in the years to come. I realize you made a general statement about the sales but I just wanted to put that out there.

Those numbers for Coldplay are embarrassing, considering they have had multiple albums open with 500k or more.

+ those "openings of 500k or more" happened years ago Ghost Stories didn't have a hit single preceeding it last year and they opened with 383k. Opening with half of that a year later isn't good.

^Magic and A Sky Full of Stars both had a good initial reception and debuted in the top 25.

I don't think a lot of people understand how charts work here. lol Just instantly screaming about numbers with no facts behind their claims.
The numbers for Coldplay are pretty solid now that they are probably going to end up over 200k. Yes, they have had big albums in the past, but they had bigger hits then. Even if Ghost Stories a year ago opened with more, it was coming off a 3 year wait between albums to build anticipation and it also had hits and mega promotion with Every Teardrop, Paradise and the song with Rihanna.
There also is NOTHING wrong with Jeremih or Babyface numbers. Lol Both of them are lucky to even sell that much. Jeremih should not have waited until December to release the album. Makes no sense at all. Plus, he is by far and away a singles artist at best. He did have some of the best urban material this year, but the album delayed release was not a good idea.

I realize you made a general statement about the sales but I just wanted to put that out there. If the single catching on, it will help keep sales from collapsing, but they will definitely get a decent boost during SB. They certainly aren't the rush out and buy type of group anymore, but as mentioned, they have a higher probability of being a consistent long-term seller, but 750K seems like a more realistic upper goal.
