Why does she like these pointless no-name features? That bonus track with a rent-a-rapper on Title ("Mr. Almost" I think?) was embarrassing.

The fuq...Lunchmoney Lewis and Yo Gotti are NOT rent a rappers. What you mean to say is that they aren't "mainstream" that appeal to the Beckys.

Why do those features make me think she worked with Dr. Luke on this record? :shudder:

Lunchmoney slayed me with Trini Dem Girls and also had a surprise minor hit with Bills. While I agree that Shy Carter is absoutely a rent a rapper nobody, I won't justify you trivializing Yo Gotti, besides the fact that he just scored a top 20 hit, he's been around for ages. Like Nicki was featured on one of his remixes called 5 Star Chick before she had any hit... It's still my jam. So excited!

I have no use for anyone with the name Lunchmoney Lewis. Yo Gotti is one of the wackest current rappers out, despite him having hits, but I'm not surprised he is on her album since he is one of LA Reid's...err...proteges. I would think at this point, LA could get actually talented rappers to collaborate with her. She had John Legend singing on her debut, for Pete's sake!

Gotti is not a no-name rent-a-rapper, but that inclusion is still just weird. Even being an LA Reid act doesn't fully explain it. Lunchmoney and R. City heavily imply some Luke involvement though But we'll see if his name actually shows up on the producer credits. I would assume anything Luke did happened before his reputation with the public went to shit, and the label couldn't financially justify scrapping him. What an odd coincidence that both she and Nick are going to have songs titled Champagne Problems.

It would be interesting if Nick and Meghan both release their same titled songs around the same time lol. Also, I hope Luke is not involved. Even if the songs were recorded before his reputation went downhill, the general public might not see it that way and it could cause some backlash for the album and Meghan.

What an odd coincidence that both she and Nick are going to have songs titled Champagne Problems. Actually Lunchmoney's biggest hit "Bills" was produced by Ricky Reed who did "No" and the other track released "Watch Me Do." I believe Lunchmoney actually has a writing credit on that song too so there may not be any Luke involvement for that collaboration besides his label. Now for R. City, I feel Luke will be involved because who would want an R. City feature unless they co-wrote the track with her since she does like to dabble in reggae-lite like them

Just heard the other two new tracks. She's 3/3 for me, and I'm LOVING the style she's going towards. This album is gonna fuck me up.

Congratulations to Meghan Trainor for being the co-writer of this week's #1 country song, I Like The Sound Of That by Rascal Flatts.

So what are people's estimations for opening week? How much did title open with ? I remember it being about 200k. My guess for this is 150-200k

So Ellen was holding a copy of Thank You in her hand and she said everyone in the audience is going home with a copy but its release date isn't until next month. Either the albums will be delivered to the audience members' homes next month when it is released or the album is gonna leak very soon lol

"Better" is the first track so far that didn't immediately catch me on first listen. It's very early Rihanna.

Better's the first song from this album that connects with me beyond just being a catchy song for the moment. I hope she has more substantive songs like that on this record.

Apple Music accidentally leaked the whole album. They've taken it down since.
No was a false dawn for me. Aside from the backing track for Better, where they forgot to write a decent song over, everything else I've heard from this has been awful.

Dang, I just went onto Apple Music, expecting to only hear the new single, and was shocked to be able to listen to the full album. The second half of the album is way stronger. Kindly Calm Me Down is the JAM!!! I Won't Let You Down is hot too! Overall, I'm really impressed! Wasn't expecting it to be this good based on the lead single + promo singles they've released so far.

Is there any predictions for 1st week sales? You think she can go to #1 and compete with Beyonce & Drake?

The album is very dissapointing. I couldn't get to the end of most songs. She's in trouble this era. I'd say her ballads are the stronger songs here.
