I suppose I got all overhyped, thinking T-Shirt would fly to number one in a small amount of time. I hope he can manage to score another number one <3 Even if it takes forever. About Vacation... I hope it isn't a single, there are other much better song in the album LOL, this song been on the BB chart for 15 weeks as of tomorrow so it is definitely fast and considering the fact that it's going to repass Luke Bryan and possibly sneak ahead of Tim McGraw, this is definitely not taking forever.

"Vacation" shouldn't ever be a single. As a concert performance? Sure.

Has anyone else thought about how stupid this line is? "It was two for one and four for two". Is this some kind of ploy to get mathematically challenged college students to drink more? Buy in volume and save?

Buy in volume and save? I was actually thinking thay exact same thing earlier this week. Anybody have any clue what that means? I've never known a bar to sell four for the price of two (in fact I've never seen a bar give out drinks two-for-one either). Unless he's talking about something completely different.

It's definitely about drinking. 2 for 1 is generally called Happy Hour. So if you bought 2 you'd get 4 drinks. I know some places have laws against Happy Hours so that could be why you've never seen it.

The worst song on the radio. Everyone has their own opinions on the worst song on the radio, but... "Baby, baby, baby, baby girl. Let me make it feel better. Please, please, please, please, I'm what you need".

Although "Fix" is terrible slightly catchy but that's all I can say in it's defense though.

For me slight edge to "T-Shirt"

Why are we all glad Tim didn't record it? Am I missing something? Tim had the song on hold for a while but eventually let it go. But I imagine what Tim was going to do with the song would have sounded a lot different than Thomas Rhett as in Tim would have made it more country sounding I assume. So I don't think it's fair to Tim to say "Thank God Tim McGraw didn't record it".

College bars especially are always running these promos, and Duffy's (sports bar chain" has 2 for 1 drinks all day everyday.

We would have to assume Tim would have made this song into something kinda country, as tough as that might be. Especially if he recorded it 10 years ago. That said the lyrics in this song are almost childish, and are borderline offensive to good lyrics. "2 for 1... 4 for 2" enought said. It's sad to me people eat this nonsense up. This will be a #1 for sure and probably a 2×Platinum at some point down the road. This song is complete garbage and people need to wake up, well in my opinion anyways.

T-Shirt is currently the #9 selling country single with 23,000 sold. To date, it's at 318,000. Will go gold during the summer.

With T-Shirt about to take over the airplay chart, I'll be able to move Thomas Rhett from #125 to #99 on the list of those artists with the most #1s. It'll be his sixth chart topper overall and third from Tangled Up.

Now that it looks like it's going to peak, can we get either "Like Its The Last Time", " Single Girl", "Playing With Fire", "The Day You Stop Looking Back" or "Learned It From The Radio" as the next single please!

The Highway claims it's "Vacation" but I'm not entirely convinced yet. Maybe it is a non-terrestrial single.

Three posts in this topic about a song that is not the thread single. I get it. You don't like "Vacation." Can't wait to see how many posts you write in the actual "Vacation" thread if it is a single. Edit: I get that the song isn't a masterpiece by any means. Just frustrating to read about someone disliking a song that the thread isn't even about 3 times in one thread.

Personally, I think Rhett should release "The Day You Stop Looking Back" if he's trying to continue and build his career. I think that one would be a huge hit and would really solidify this era as one of the best singles wise that we've had in a long time. "Vacation" could be big as well, but I think it could be grating to some and get some tough callback scores. Not sure if its worth the risk right now.

"Playing With Fire"or bust it's such a solid song regardless of genre and also well written. I hope as long as it isn't "Vacation" or "South Side".
I also hope T-Shirt tries for two weeks at the top as I'd like another multi week #1 .

I won't write anything in the thread if it becomes a single.......personally I think everyone has a right to state their opinions about a song on here. Besides I only stated my dislike once and beforehand said what I thought the next single should be. I'm not on here to offend or frustrate anyone so if I did. Sorry

What does it say about the state of country music when a song like "T-Shirt" breezes to #1 yet a great song like "My Church" can't even make it to the top 5? And another great song in "Record Year" has been on the charts for almost 20 weeks and isn't even in the top 10 yet.
